I’m reading so much mixed info about implantation and when you can test with the early test... it is doing my head in :)

We're going yo early test for the first time this month so interested in people's experiences.
Good idea for a thread.OP. Smile

I got a bfp 12 days after positive ovulation test. It was a Monday and AF was due on the Thursday.

Thanks MaisyPops I’m just trying to see what happens in real life as opposed to the info on google :)

8dpo but that is vvv early.
Implantation might not even occur until 12dpo and then hcg needs to build enough to be detected by the test.

Williamsduckling · 28/12/2017 08:38

2/3 days before my period was due for 2 pregnancies. One of which sadly I mc’d.
1st pregnancy day period was due as didn’t have a clue about anything.
Good luck!

PinkyPromise77 · 28/12/2017 08:46

The info I found was 7-10 days implantation TinoTheArtisticMouse however potentially can happen between 6-12 but also read somewhere it could happen on day 4 hence wondering :)

9/10 DPO

NerNerNerNerBATMAN · 28/12/2017 09:00

10 dpo. I wouldn't have tested that early but I got my usual severe nausea feeling at 9 dpo and figured I'd try a clear blue the next morning, which was positive.

Zoey36 · 28/12/2017 09:05

I put off testing until 11dpo and got a clear bfp. Made me wonder how early a positive would have shown up because I assumed it would be really faint at 11dpo!

ClareB83 · 28/12/2017 09:11

I didn't test until AF was late. So probably 15 DPO. Pregnancy is all a waiting game, I think you may as well start as you have to go on!

spnfan · 28/12/2017 09:11

I got a faint positive at 9dpo with my second. Smile

lampert · 28/12/2017 09:27

11dpo. I suspect I may haven it a day or two earlier with a frer but I held off testing until then!

Oysterbabe · 28/12/2017 10:05

This website tells you the test results from pregnant women at each DPO. Personally I wouldn't test before 12DPO and think anything before 10DPO is a waste of time. At 9DPO about 50% of pregnant women will get a negative result.

NerNerNerNerBATMAN · 28/12/2017 11:31

I should add that my dating scan indicated I'd conceived a few days earlier than I thought, so I may not have been 10dpo!!

MadC0w · 28/12/2017 11:38

I got positives both times about 4-5 days before my period was due (normal 27/28 day cycle so about 8/9 days post ovulation). Both times i had a feeling like my stomach was in the back of my throat (not reflux, just a weird feeling) the day of/before testing.

PinkyPromise77 · 28/12/2017 11:46

Ohhh thanks so much Oysterbabe that’s so ridiculously helpful! I will be stalking this page a bit later properly :) Thanks again x

9dpo for me but it was really faint! Tested again a few days later and got a clear positive.

harrietm87 · 28/12/2017 12:07

I had to test at 10dpo as was on steroids from ovulation and had to stop taking them after 10 days if not pregnant. My bfp was such a squinter you could barely see it, but it was there. If I had a choice I'd test from 12dpo onwards.

cherryontopp · 28/12/2017 13:22

I got a strong BFP on 9p a 5 day transfer (IVF)

Apples1982 · 28/12/2017 16:13

Hello Everyone,
I've just got BFP on two pregnancy tests this morning, very clear lines. 12 days after ET. It's our first cycle of ICSI (trying naturally for two years - he has motility issues)

It's an amazing Christmas present and I am really thrilled because it's taken so long to get here but I am so anxious too. My groin is aching which I've been told is normal but it makes me worried - am I being silly?

BigBaboonBum · 28/12/2017 16:33

11dpo, it was negative the day before but my boobs really hurt and I had radiating tailbone pain so I was pretty sure I was pregnant

mustbemad17 · 28/12/2017 17:09

Earliest for us was 8DPO but that was ridiculously faint. We weren't meant to test until 14 but someone got excited 🙄

PinkyPromise77 · 28/12/2017 18:22

Congrats Apples! Great news hun! Unfortunately will be of no help l with the groin pain as only my first month TTC so definitely a newbie here :)

Bought my First response test today ready to test right after New Year... fingers crossed :) yup I’m so impatient lol!

MustBeMad totally getting this feeling of being too impatient to wait for the official ‘good time’ to test lol 😂

I got mine at 7dpo with this pregnancy on a FRER. However previous pregnancies include 12dpo and 18dpo! I think it varies. TBH....I think we implanted pretty early with this one-around 4/5DPO??
