Hi guys
Thought it would be quite funny to share some of funniest weirdest or random things strangers have said to us while pregnant :)
So me first
While pregnant with my first I was stopped by a couple of people spreading the word of God and they stopped me to let me know it is not too late for me and my baby to save our selves from my obvious sins (no wedding ring) so ten minutes later me being me said oh thankyou and took the leaflets ...
(No offence meant to anyone)

A man stopped me on the pavement the other day, pointed at my bump and shouted in my face: “I GUESS... BOY!”. It was very intimidating, I was quite shaken and eager to waddle off as fast as possible.

mamamalt · 24/11/2017 20:22

A man shouted out the window of his van at me once ‘that’s definitely a boy!’ Horrible. No one wants to be heckled when they’re pregnant Blush

MrsMyreton · 24/11/2017 20:27

Someone at work (a client rather than a colleague) said 'if you get any bigger you'll need a tent for a dress'. I was eight months along and still a size 8.Angry

elland · 24/11/2017 20:33

I had tickets for the theatre but realised I had double booked myself with work so I was asking around to see if anyone wanted them and a woman pipes up “you wouldn’t fit in the seats anyway” 😡 Not the thing to say!

RedBlackberries · 24/11/2017 20:46

in my last pregnancy: ooh you look so sexy. Mamas to be are so hot! Shock From a very Italian colleague of dh's who basically finds any woman attractive!

Dysania · 24/11/2017 21:17

“You know women in the developing world go to work in the fields, squat, have their baby and work on. Don’t know why women in the UK make such a fuss of it all” from a father of 3 children and his wife was with him 🙄

I went to the hospital to get my babies monitored as I hadn't felt them... while in the waiting room one of the pregnant ladies mums said "god I feel slim in here with all you lot" while she looked at us all. I couldn't even fake smile! Then on my way out some guy shouted in my face "good luck with the pregnancy luv!!!" Angry

New work colleague I'd met that day "Was it planned?"

FozBoz · 25/11/2017 09:01

At DS' football training.

Football Dad: So Foz, have you had any strange men touching your bump yet?

Me: No

Football Dad: Can I be the first?

Me: No.

Hmm

Random man shouted slag at me. I suppose there was fairly good proof that I had had sex at some point in the last few months.

HR asked me if it was planned.

Namethecat · 25/11/2017 09:06

Was waiting for the bus after an antenatal appointment in the main hospital next to an elderly man. He turned to me and said he vetted I was waiting for the dietician ! I was 7 months pregnant at the time.

MsP0b · 25/11/2017 19:31

"You look ready to drop!"
"Are you sure it's not twins?"
"Too many Yorkshire puddings!"

All just last week- 27wks pregnant, wearing size 10 mat clothes.

DollyLlama · 25/11/2017 19:41

During my first pregnancy I had a blood clot on my lung and wasn't feeling too bright so was taking it easy. My partners work colleague happens to know my best friend and her partner and was trying to arrange a meal out (none of us were fond of him anyway) so when we cancelled and said I wasn't up to it, we ended up getting the whole "you're pregnant, not ill" spiel and told to get on with it! Angry funnily enough we never went, nor rearranged...

leighdinglady · 25/11/2017 19:44

"Are you planning a natural birth"

Firstly - no. I'm planning one of those unnatural, gravity defying, space age births. WTF is unnatural?

Secondly - you're threading my eyebrows love. Let's keep the focus on my face and not below my belt

wasMissD · 25/11/2017 19:52

Aargh, why do people ask you if the baby was planned? So rude!
I got annoyed when people gave opinions on the size of my bump. On the same day it was either a really big bump or really small. Make your minds up.
"Is it twins?" was another favourite.

The worst is strangers touching your bump without asking. Angry

BexleyRae · 25/11/2017 19:53

One colleague asked if it was planned Hmm
Another, who thought he was hilarious shouted "morning fatty" at me as I passed him to go speak with a customer. I told him if he called me fat again I would punch him

Was it planned?

Are you planning on getting married?

Both from colleagues. Angry

TrinityBelle · 25/11/2017 21:00

Not quite the same but my first pregnancy resulted in a miscarriage and I was off work for a fortnight.

Senior manager appeared in my department when I returned and asked how I was followed by "oh well. It wasn't planned anyway, was it?"😮

The worst of it was I'm a midwife and she was the Head of Midwifery.

Moose23ishungry · 25/11/2017 21:08

A colleague asked how long I was going to take as mat leave. I said that I’m taking 9 of my allowed 12- he said that’s it’s great for women these days but not so great for the company!

TheEdgeOfGlory266 · 25/11/2017 21:59

Oh god! I'm 34 weeks and I was stood in a queue for the toilet today and I last turned around, looked me up and down and said "you're not going infront of me" 😂😂 I said "I never asked to"... no comment back. Perhaps I looked like I was pushing my belly out for attention - I'm wasn't, I'm just very, very pregnant.
