Does anybody overdue want to moan? *lighthearted*

I’m not even ‘REALLY’ overdue but I’m fed up.

40+2, been having cramps and tightenings for about a week and a half but they never turn into anything.

Had a sweep yesterday morning, it was quite frankly horrible and I like to think I have quite a high pain threshold. But nothing... nada... not even a thing.

I feel like I’ve been hit in the crotch with a cricket bat. All of the stretch marks I have, have now gone red angry and itchy...

I want to throw my phone out the window every time somebody texts me.

And on top of it all apparently everybody else is ‘fed up’ of waiting too...

Somebody give me strength. GrinGrin

Sweep performed and induction booked for Monday if she’s not decided to make an appearance before then, I really hope she has!

Flowers Labour vibes to all!

Should add I’m 40+8 now, so induction is booked for the ‘norm’ of 40+12!

Of all the pregnant ladies I know, expecting in November & December, there’s only a couple of us left... everyone else has had their babies - there were about 15 I knew 😳

DryHeave · 30/11/2017 17:01

I had a baby! A November baby at that!

jmscp2015 · 30/11/2017 17:03

Congrats @DryHeave!!! FlowersFlowers

I am clearly NOT having a November baby! Lol

DeadDoorpost · 30/11/2017 17:55

There's still time! Finally had my November baby on Tuesday

tootsieglitterballs · 30/11/2017 19:46

Congratulations @DryHeave ! That’s wonderful news!

Currently being monitored due to having a past section as I’ve been having contractions for 24 hours , looks like a December baby for us!

DiscombobulatedWomble · 30/11/2017 21:48

Yaaaay congratulations Flowers

MrsJB1987 · 30/11/2017 23:23

So been having uncomfortable and borderline painful 'contractions' on n off all day... never getting any worse and ranging from 4 minutes apart to nearly an hour!!They are mainly painful at my lower back but bump is definitely tightening each time! No sign of waters breaking or my plug! In with midwife tomorrow morning for a sweep!! Should I b phoning hospital about these contractions or am I ok at the minute? And at what point shud i call them?

tmc14 · 01/12/2017 07:57

Hello all, after 3 days of contractions, a pessary that caused hyper stimulation, another 15 hours of contractions, then some last minute complications, I had the baby! Yesterday afternoon, all ok, definitely not the birth I planned but he’s out and we’re well and that’s all that matters. Went to 41+6 in the end.
Congratulations @dryheave hope you’re doing well.
Good luck to everyone else! Has to happen eventually...
xx

DiscombobulatedWomble · 01/12/2017 08:46

@MrsJB1987 as a FTM I'm afraid I can't be much help! Hopefully you had some more progress & have your baby today Flowers

@tmc14 that sounds horrendous well done you! Congratulations Flowers

I've been having period pains since half 4 this morning, along with a bloody show, so I'm really hoping it all happens today & I avoid being induced tomorrow. Pains are about 10-12 minutes apart at the moment & getting more painful so fingers crossed Grin

tootsieglitterballs · 01/12/2017 12:17

Sorry for going off radar everyone.... we had our beautiful baby boy in the early hours of this morning!

I was contracting for 24 hours, every 5-10 mins, lasting approx 40 seconds , got monitored in hospital due to previous c section scar and such a long time labouring, and they had the cheek to tell me I wasn’t in labour! Sent home, but was back in again 3 hours later! Was 3cm dilated when we got back into hospital, 2 hours later I was 10cm dilated, 45 mins later he was out! No drugs, only gas and air.

I was so desperate to avoid a planned c section next week, but sadly did end up with a second degree tear which is extremely painful, along with very bruised insides and bad lower back.

jmscp2015 · 01/12/2017 16:20

Congrats @tmc14 & @tootsieglitterballs FlowersFlowers

Hope you’re both feeling better soon, I’m sure those baby snuggles help. Smile

I’m fairly sure I just had my first ‘proper’ contraction... but I refuse to get excited until another one happens.

Ahhh congratulations @DryHeave @tmc14 and @tootsieglitterballs sounds like it's been an eventful few days!

@jmscp2015 have things continued? Fingers crossed.

I had my sweep yesterday, not really ready so MW could only do the stretch bit.... Hmm All ok till I stood up and started bleeding quite a bit so had to stay in for a couple of hours till it stopped. After a very prolonged MMC last year it really freaked me out.

Calmed down today and I think I've had my show, or st least part of it so maybe it worked better than expected. I have another booked for Sunday so hopefully I've progressed a bit. Induction on Wednesday is looming and I so want to avoid the Delivery Suite and make it into the lovely MLU.

Have been amusing myself by freaking out old ladies out and about today. I keep getting asked when I'm due (as look like I'll pop any moment), the picture on their faces when I say yesterday is priceless. I've even been told I shouldn't be out! Grin

Aliceinchunderland · 01/12/2017 21:11

Hey guys, congratulations to all that have had their babies the last couple of days!
Had my second sweep today, it was just as horrible as the last one. Cervix is still 1-1.5cm dilated, 4cm thick but soft and stretchy. But midwife thinks the little rascal has gone back to back 😩 so no sofas allowed now, just the birth ball. I stupidly googled back to back labours, should not have done that!
Hope everyone else is doing well

MrsJB1987 · 01/12/2017 21:25

I'm a mummy!!! 😍

jmscp2015 · 01/12/2017 21:33

@DotCottonIsMyIdol hahaha I went to get chips for lunch (I’m not sorry ) and the lady behind the counter said when are due - “A week and two days ago” she shoved the bag at me and said off you go love scaring people, it’s the only enjoyable thing about it!

Hope you’re second sweep goes a bit better and you’re progressing.

I’ve had a few more but nothing I’m going to write home about yet, I’m having quite a meaty one now in fact - but I just cannot get excited about these things anymore!

@MrsJB1987 Big congrats to you! Flowers

I reckon I’m going to be the last of all of you!! LolGrin

jmscp2015 · 01/12/2017 21:34

@Aliceinchunderland hope baby turns back round for you, I’ve heard a lot of them turn in labour too so try not to worry too much.

My little one was back to back at 39 weeks but she’s not anymore. Probably just fidgeting around! Smile

Congratulations to everyone who's had their babies!

It's my due date today but I can't imagine anything happening. I don't feel anything at the moment and just sorting the last bits, tidying house and making sure maternity bag is all ready etc

I actually think we're going to nip out to the shops this afternoon with OH as I'm bored and need a few last things that I was originally going to have him pick up later.

I feel like this is just the beginning of the "waiting game" that will drag out forever. Blush

prettygirlincrimsonrose · 02/12/2017 14:50

Finally in labour! (41+1)

Not too bad so far. Having regular manageable contractions so staying at home for now. Guess getting upset/mood swings a couple of days ago may have been a warning sign!

DryHeave · 02/12/2017 15:30

Fab news @prettygirl - you’ll be holding your little one before you know it.

DotCottonIsMyIdol · 03/12/2017 17:21

Oh hope you've got your little one snuggled in your arms @prettygirlincrimsonrose.

Second stretch and sweep for me today. Baby has dropped some more too. I let the student midwife have a go first, gentle but didn't work. Second MW took over and practically lifted me off the bed! Confused
Come on baby!!

How are you getting on @jmscp2015?

jmscp2015 · 03/12/2017 18:28

Hi all. Hope some more of you are snuggling babies!

@DotCottonIsMyIdol I’m still here, still pregnant and I’m ringing delivery suite at 8am tomorrow to see when they want me in to start induction... so unless she’s speedy I don’t think I’ll be spontaneously going into labour Sad but hopefully she will be here with us soon.
I’ve been having on off ‘contractions’ for days now so I can’t see them suddenly turning into something but I suppose she has overnight to decide to make an appearance, but I really don’t think that’s going to happen!

Fingers crossed your sweep gets things going!

jmscp2015 · 04/12/2017 08:35

Rang delivery suite....

Call back at 12

AngrySadHmm

So FED UP.

DotCottonIsMyIdol · 04/12/2017 19:14

Oh no @jmscp2015..... I hope you've been called in already.

I think the super moon yesterday has sent loads of ladies into labour as the MW's were commenting on how busy it was because of it!!

I've had more of a show today and am generally uncomfortable but nothing vaguely contraction related. I've been following the MW advice yesterday and have used my breast pump for a bit of nipple stimulating but nada so far Hmm

DH had decided he's very pissed off that I've not had the baby yet as 'he's wasted all this time' nor managed to changed the minds of the NHS about my dates being out to gobe me more time?!? He's also decided he doesn't want me to be induced on Wednesday but won't read any of the info as to why it's been suggested. I'll be going in on my own at this rate. He's not being at all conducive to fluffy, warm labour vibes at all.
