Does anybody overdue want to moan? *lighthearted*

I’m not even ‘REALLY’ overdue but I’m fed up.

40+2, been having cramps and tightenings for about a week and a half but they never turn into anything.

Had a sweep yesterday morning, it was quite frankly horrible and I like to think I have quite a high pain threshold. But nothing... nada... not even a thing.

I feel like I’ve been hit in the crotch with a cricket bat. All of the stretch marks I have, have now gone red angry and itchy...

I want to throw my phone out the window every time somebody texts me.

And on top of it all apparently everybody else is ‘fed up’ of waiting too...

Somebody give me strength. GrinGrin

Aw @labellesausage amazing news!! Congratulations and glad all is well.

I was reading that induction thread too. Think I need to spend some time getting used to the idea and making my peace with it. Lots of those stories were positive.

LaBelleSausage · 26/11/2017 09:15

Thanks all Grin

DotCottonIsMyIdol · 26/11/2017 10:12

Ah congratulations sausage, excellent news.... a very speedy arrival for little sausage!

All quiet here, I've managed a decent sleep (only got up 3 x in 8hrs) and woke up to a really upset stomach...... could be something, could be the huge bowl of pineapple and dates I ate yesterday plus the spicy Mexican tea Hmm Who knows but MIL is coming for Sunday lunch today, she'll be watching me like a hawk!!

Aliceinchunderland · 26/11/2017 10:26

Congratulations @sausage!
I had to go into the ward last night with reduced movements, luckily the baby was fine. I’ve got consultant tomorrow so think I’ll be offered an earlier induction date than the standard 40+12. On the one hand, I just want him out now but I’m also absolutely terrified of being induced after hearing disaster stories.
I might just go for a mega walk and try and tempt him into coming today instead!

DryHeave · 26/11/2017 10:27

Fantastic news @LaBelleSausage !

Had a rotten night’s sleep and woke up exceedingly grumpy at 6am. Took myself off for a walk to get some cold air, watch the sunrise & get some km under my belt. Feeling much better for it and hoping the stomp (it was very very stompy) will have helped. If anything, it’s made me feel like I’ve done something.

No one tells you that this last stage is more of a psychological challenge than a physical one. Trying to keep sane.

tootsieglitterballs · 26/11/2017 10:59

@DryHeave I think you have hit the nail on the head there ... this last part really is like a psychological endurance test! Who will crack soonest!

jmscp2015 · 26/11/2017 12:16

I keep curling my hair after washing it out of boredom...

I’ve just had a complete defuzz with only one minor cutting incident which is quite the achievement at this stage... although I can’t see everywhere I’ve shaved so it might give the midwifes a laugh if I ever go into labour... Grin

More bouncing on the ball now... I wish I could walk, but my back is in agony after just walking round the block. Hmm I am so huge I feel I may burst before she comes out the correct way.

Labour vibes to all!

Any updates ladies?! I’m on the bouncy ball , having just demolished half a chocolate orange and feeling sorry for myself!

jmscp2015 · 26/11/2017 20:20

@tootsieglitterballs Unfortunately still very much pregnant here, also bouncing on ball, with a co-op apple crumble in the oven... Grin

Still pregnant. Walked 6 miles. Sat on the ball. Did a few yoga postures. Nothing. Well, I’m achy and tired, but no labour.

Two strangers told me to eat loads of pineapple. I didn’t punch them, or even be mildly sarcastic, so calling that a win. 😆

tmc14 · 26/11/2017 20:23

@jmscp2015 - sorry your back is bad. Any way you can treat yourself to a massage?

pomadas87 · 26/11/2017 20:29

On my bouncy ball here too ...
Still pregnant, not even a twinge.
All grandparents-to-be have called today asking for news Angry ... I'm so fed up!

tootsieglitterballs · 26/11/2017 21:17

Today I’ve actually not been asked by anyone, no phone calls, no texts, nowt!

Aliceinchunderland · 26/11/2017 21:30

So I can kind of forgive the constant texts from friends and family asking for updates, they love me and want to know what’s going on, I get it. But I just had a fb message from one of my colleagues that I’m not even close with, with no how are you or anything, just “any sign of baby yet?”
I’m currently using all of my self control not to tell her to bugger off! Nosy shit.
I’m especially moody today, mainly because I’m now officially overdue and I haven’t even had a twinge today 😒 hope we all go into labour soon!

MrsJB1987 · 26/11/2017 21:49

Hope u all don't mind me joining in with a good moan! First time mummy at 40+3! I have a bad case of SPD so barely walking, haven't slept in a month and I have had a really bad head cold all week! I turned 30 on Tuesday past by hiding under a blanket with honey, Lemon and strapped at my waist! Confused just really want to meet bubba and feel like I'm going to be pregnant forever! Also the txts.... OMG.. the texts!!Angryfirst grandchild on my side so my family are having a canary!! Got midwife appointment on Tuesday and was really hoping I wudnt need to use it!

tmc14 · 26/11/2017 22:06

Welcome @mrsjb1987 sorry you’ve been feeling rough.

I’m having a complete wobble about induction. I agreed to be booked for an outpatient induction on Wednesday (41+5) as I’ll be allowed home after. I am still really hoping for a home birth. But I’m now anxious about starting on the conveyor belt & ending up on a labour ward with full induction at 41+6 if the first pessary fails. What if my baby just isn’t ready yet? ☹️ I know I should just be happy with a healthy baby & not how I get there, but I just feel a bit caged in by the next bit.

InThisTogether · 26/11/2017 23:22

Really need some clever/ snide comments to throw back at all the nosy fuckers people who keep asking me if the baby is here yet...
Any good ones?

BalloonGordon · 27/11/2017 04:51

@tmc14 I have been having similar concerns about setting off a chain of events leading to more and more interventions. I know that the most important thing is getting the baby out safely, but the loss control is unnerving.

Still not even a twinge here!

tmc14 · 27/11/2017 09:19

Woke up at 1 with light contractions. Continued until I got up at 8. Think the hot shower slowed everything down. Have spoken to Midwife who thinks it won’t be long now! Really hoping it happens before induction on weds. DH working from home, I’m bouncing on my ball wuth raspberry leaf tea & clary sage oil on a cotton pad. And just concentrating on breathing! Fingers crossed, as I’m now 10 days overdue.

Hope you all are doing ok. xx

pomadas87 · 27/11/2017 10:13

tmc14 really pleased for you and hope it continues! Fingers crossed. I am also totally jealous... 9 days overdue here and midwife appt tomorrow to organise induction.

Hope things move quickly for you - keep us updated! X

prettygirlincrimsonrose · 27/11/2017 10:17

Still pregnant (40+3). Was optimistic as had bloody show after sweep, but that was Friday. Still generally feeling fine, just painless tightening and occasional lower back pain that gets me excited and then doesn't turn into anything. Trying to accept things aren't likely to happen any time soon and just enjoy the calm before DS arrives.

@tmc14 I think it's completely normal to be stressed and frustrated, and then feel guilty about it because you feel you should just be happy with a healthy baby, but we've all got things we do and don't want to happen and that matters as well. Really hope things start soon and you get the home birth you want.

tmc14 · 27/11/2017 10:25

Thanks ladies. Everything has stopped again, so just hanging out waiting. The last few days have made me realise how controlled & unspontaneous my life usually is, it feels so odd just to be waiting for something! Hope it all starts again soon...
