Does anybody overdue want to moan? *lighthearted*

I’m not even ‘REALLY’ overdue but I’m fed up.

40+2, been having cramps and tightenings for about a week and a half but they never turn into anything.

Had a sweep yesterday morning, it was quite frankly horrible and I like to think I have quite a high pain threshold. But nothing... nada... not even a thing.

I feel like I’ve been hit in the crotch with a cricket bat. All of the stretch marks I have, have now gone red angry and itchy...

I want to throw my phone out the window every time somebody texts me.

And on top of it all apparently everybody else is ‘fed up’ of waiting too...

Somebody give me strength. GrinGrin

@tootsieglitterballs you’ve done bloody well to not have napped the whole pregnancy. I’ve done nothing but nap! Grin

Tootsie - have naps! They’re the best.

I’ve had a third night of contractions. Was ramping up quite significantly but quietened a bit now. Had no break from them since Monday evening, but not progressing in the ‘standard’ way. Have also lost my mucus plug finally. Heading to hospital for 10am appointment. Am tired and achy and a bit grumpy but doing ok. My planned home birth is looking less & less likely, but that’s ok. Just hoping that today I meet my baby!!

Another day of luck to all xx

jmscp2015 · 29/11/2017 08:30

Good luck @tmc14 Flowers

Good luck @tmc14 !

I was again having them through the night and this AM, but no progress.

Roll on next sweep!

Think I’ll try for a nap again today, got to make the most of this!

pomadas87 · 29/11/2017 09:08

Good luck tmc14!

jmscp2015 · 29/11/2017 09:09

@tootsieglitterballs take all of the naps I have a feeling we won’t be getting many for a good while Wink

Much of the same here. Had some quite meaty ones overnight and this morning, now they’ve tailed off.

Sweep tomorrow at 11.30am, I wish it was today instead! Also we will be discussing induction tomorrow. At this rate baby might be born on my mums birthday! Which would be lovely in a way, but also far too late!! Sad

@jmscp2015 I just can’t wait any longer ! And I’m super keen to avoid c section what with having a toddler, along with the issues I had post section last time ... I really hoped this baby would be a November baby , I guess there is still time! As long as he’s here safe and sound , that’s the main thing though.

FGSholdthedoor · 29/11/2017 09:23

Can I join in please? Not overdue but 39+4 today and I have a very strong feeling this one won't arrive on Saturday like it's supposed to. I have no twinges, no aches, even my midnight heartburn has subsided...
My first was overdue and I hated every day of it and I'm dreading it again Sad

And I'm also a wimp and currently swinging between "come one little one lets DO THIS!" to "omg I can't do this" .
I was silently crying in the bath yesterday about the fear of going into labour Blush
And this morning I'm all fired up for it Hmm I wish my hormones would make their minds up.

DotCottonIsMyIdol · 29/11/2017 10:37

Good luck @tmc14..... hopefully things will get going properly for you today!

@tootsieglitterballs, seriously impressed that you've got all this way woth no naps! I'd have not survived... thank you should make up for it now.

39+6 today and the back/hip ache continues here. Really struggling to walk far. I got hopeful last night as spent all evening bouncing on my ball as couldn't sit on the sofa... but nothing!

I've got the MW this afternoon, think she'll be booking me in for a sweep asap as I've only got a week left before induction.

buzzmoon · 29/11/2017 11:31

Hi all! 🙋🏽‍♀️

40+5 here and feel your pain!! Oh my goodness the texts and the calls!!! I'm going mad! This is an absolutely fantastic website to send to people though- haveyouhadthatbabyyet.com love the idea of sending random baby photos from google though I'm so going to start doing that!

I have had 3 sweeps and I irrationally hate all the midwives that have done them because they've all told me ooh yeah looking really good, going to happen soon blah blah blah 🖕🏽 my next one will be on Sunday, and then induction on Wednesday if nothing happens.

Movements are stressing me out! Just so worried he/she is not okay in there!

Good luck @tmc14, really hope it happens for you today, 3 days of contractions sound rubbish! I've not had anything apart from post-sweep cramps :( just wanna feel some pain!!

prettygirlincrimsonrose · 29/11/2017 11:41

I've been trying so hard to stay positive but I'm now sitting here in tears because the person in our NCT group who was due to be last (ELCS booked in) is now having one this afternoon as her waters have broken. I know this is completely irrational but I know I'm going to be the one who has a really slow induction, long painful labour, and then still end up with a EMCS and really regret not asking for an ELCS from the start (originally what I wanted). And I've been pretty lucky with my pregnancy and I know I should be grateful for that but I feel like giving up on any hope of having an OK birth and it's just going to be all the things I didn't want to happen. I feel so pathetic that I'm sat here crying but I can't keep pretending I'm OK and feeling relaxed about everything.

AnonEvent · 29/11/2017 16:33

Speaking as someone who was overdue, and ended up with a long labour, failed induction and EMCS.

Yes, it's not ideal, but l can hardly remember it, it feels like someone else's trauma. All I remember is the feeling of knowing DD was going to be here, and soon.

It will all be okay, and in a few days, you'll be rejoicing at the fact you no longer need a wee every 50 seconds,

jmscp2015 · 29/11/2017 18:20

Welcome @buzzmoon you have found the place you can openly moan

@prettygirlincrimsonrose Flowers for you, hope you’re feeling a little better now.

Somethings gone in my back so I’ve been doing nothing but hobble all day. Counting down the hours to my midwife appt tomorrow Sad

DryHeave · 29/11/2017 18:34

Appointment today at 41 weeks. I’m 3cm dilated, cervix thin, fully engaged. “Things should get moving soon!” Blah blah blah.

Induction scheduled for Monday, so at least there is an end date in sight. But I’m hoping baby comes of its own accord before then. Definitely feels like he’s a lot lower than ever before but I’m beyond having high hopes.

DotCottonIsMyIdol · 29/11/2017 19:39

Well midwife appointment today, stretch and Sweep tomorrow.... induction booked for 6th December. According to my dates I'm not due till 10th December so this should be interesting. Hmm

DryHeave · 30/11/2017 04:03

Well I’ve been up since 1am. I’m either having the world’s most difficult poo, or this is the beginning/early labour.

pomadas87 · 30/11/2017 04:37

So exciting DryHeave - fingers crossed its baby and not a poo! Grin

I think I'm also having contractions- started yesterday evening and went to bed with a hot water bottle for the back ache. Keep waking up writing in pain and going back to sleep. Hoping things keep moving as I have an appointment for induction this afternoon!

Sending good thoughts to you all Flowers

tootsieglitterballs · 30/11/2017 07:28

I’ve been having irregular painful contractions (between 4 and 10 mins apart , 40 - 80 seconds) since about 4pm yesterday. Managed to sleep a little , but still getting them now. Slightly more regular this morning, about 8 mins. Hoping this is the start of something!

DiscombobulatedWomble · 30/11/2017 07:31

@DryHeave @pomadas87 hope it is labour for you both! Flowers

I've had the occasional twinge/back ache since the sweep on Tuesday, and my plug finally came away in full this morning, but nothing happening regularly enough to make me think this is it!

Apparently there are so many naughty late babies in my area they can't fit in my induction on Friday so it's going to be Saturday instead - the midwife sounded very nervous to have to tell me, like she thought I was going to bite her head off! I just said that's fine, one extra day to try & get things started naturally plus hubby won't have to take the day off work!

Come on baby womble we can do this Grin

DiscombobulatedWomble · 30/11/2017 07:33

Ooooh @tootsieglitterballs certainly sounds like you're heading in the right direction! Hope things progress quickly for you Flowers

tootsieglitterballs · 30/11/2017 07:44

Good luck everyone today, maybe we might still get November babies!!

BalloonGordon · 30/11/2017 08:15

Best of luck to everyone!

I was finally getting my head around the baby not arriving in November, when suddenly he appeared! Following my failed sweep last week, I was convinced it would be a long labour but he arrived very quickly.

jmscp2015 · 30/11/2017 08:25

Good luck ladies Flowers really hope this is it for you. I wish I was in the same boat!

I’m sat here with a crippled back waiting for my midwife appt where I will be begging to be booked in to be induced ASAP. My back cannot take anymore, I can hardly walk. Sad will be interesting trying to get on the couch for my sweep. I can’t even get dressed without help.

Aliceinchunderland · 30/11/2017 09:17

Good luck everyone! I’m laying here, twinge free not jealous whatsoever 😡 haha

MrsJB1987 · 30/11/2017 10:48
