Yep, it's me, 40 weeks on Tues! I have to face at least 2 or 3 people in the next few days who are going to say that very phrase so dear to all our expectant hearts!!!!!!!
Anyone got some classic one liners for the appropriate moment??????????

Thanks! Hmmm, got a whole pineapple in the fridge and just bought an exercise ball from Index to bounce on. Had to turn down poor DH's offer of 'bouncing' on him!

I've just spat tea all over the keyboard (having just read Fio2's 1st reply at the bottom of this thread)!!

Thanks girls, just going for a cloth.....

(Good luck Quackers!)

"No, but in under two week I will be a mum and you will still be very rude" With apologies to Winston Churchill or whoever it was.

"Have you any idea how annoying it is when people say that? I just thought I'd save you annoying more pregnant people"

"you know, you saying that is making the wait so much easier." in a sarcastic voice.

To steala reply posted by beansprout on another thread similar to this one...

How about "f*k off, you c*t"?

Blunt, to the point, and no more rude than what they're saying to you really.

hey quackers, haven't you had your baby yet?

Blackduck · 27/07/2004 16:38

'No, but your lobotomy was obviously highly successful'

'Now that's an original question' - in deeply sarcastic tone

Quackers · 28/07/2004 08:36

No I've not had that baby yet!!!! Must get myself an new answer machine message with one of these appropriate comments!! Namely 'No F* Off'!!!!!!!!!!!
Hoping for action soon. Here's to all the others in the same boat as me going overdue now!!!

Love this thread! I really like Mears' suggestion of the answer machine message ("no, haven't had the baby yet, but if you are calling about anything else, please leave a message..." and am going to keep it until the baby is at least 6 weeks old.

Will then have to kill the various people who completely miss the point and say "oh, you know you haven't changed your answer machine message yet, don't you?"

Argghhh!!!
