Apologies for repeat post, I was in a flap and initially posted under family planning. Thanks to those that replied there... maybe more traffic here!
Just did a clear blue, immediate faint line but I dont know if eyes deceive me. Have also just done a cheap clear & simple and it’s negative! How does that work, are the cheap ones less or more reliable? Thankyou x

Thankyou @MsHarry, appreciate your good wishes. I never read the threads either, and I’m always looking at the ‘is this positive’ ones thinking really??? That’s a positive?! Who’d have thunk it would be me. Anyway, thankyou for responding, this thread kept me from losing the plot yesterday (apart from the cancer suggestion).

Another faint positive on a first response, second pee of the day. I am driving myself mad.
The second one was after about 9 minutes though I could see the faint line in the test within the first 3. It’s a squinter though. 😩
I’ll shut up now!

Those frer are positive. But could be false due to the menopause. All the he best op.

EllenRipley · 12/11/2017 15:09

Thankyou @Needadvicetoleave
I’ve been reading up on false positives with perimenopause and ovarian cysts (which I possibly have again, though my CA125 is normal), so this seems like a distinct possibility.
Still messes with your head though!

@EllenRipley That is a positive. Can you get a blood test from your dr with another one in two days to check rising H CG levels? They can check whether levels are rising then and if it is a pregnancy or not.

EllenRipley · 12/11/2017 17:08

I have to take my son to a medical appt tmrw morn then back to school so I’m hoping to get one after that. Struggling with nausea today, realised coffee is triggering it and having weird sensations above my public bone. Worried about ectopic now too 😩 thanks @CL1982 x

@EllenRipley try not to panic :) the mind can do all manor of horrendous things into your body! Give them a call, explain it's urgent. This early they won't pick anything up on scan and will be far too teeny for an ectopic (trying to be reassuring!!) to be noticed. Just take this as it comes. But get those blood tests and test again tomorrow to see if the line is stronger. I had a very clear line progression with FRERs.

CL1982 · 12/11/2017 17:35

Into your body?! On your body. Apparently I am making no sense 😂

EllenRipley · 12/11/2017 17:44

Thankyou @CL1982 , that is reassuring 👍 I’m having visions of a Fallopian tube exploding unexpectedly! I’m on my own with my son at the moment so I feel worried now. And you’re right, I know my mind is def making things worse. I’ve been nauseous for weeks and it’s driving me nuts.
I’ll test again and call GP in the morning. Thanks for your help x

@CL1982 I didn’t even notice, my brain doesn’t register typos!

Try not to worry. If you pregnant, there are options and you will cope. If it's cycst, it's early and can be treated more easily. If it's ectopic, you've found the pregnancy early and are more aware of the risk of ectopic so more likely to seek support before it becomes really serious.

EllenRipley · 12/11/2017 19:07

Thankyou @Needadvicetoleave, I do need to calm down 🙂 xx

Apologies about the awful typos. Toddler was using me as a climbing frame at time of typing.

Rainbowandraindrops67 · 12/11/2017 20:14

Im sorry you are still in limbo land
Def get to go tomorrow and ask for blood tests

EllenRipley · 12/11/2017 21:53

Thanks @Rainbowandraindrops67 , as soon as I’ve seen to my son in the morning I’m going to call the GP. I called the local maternity unit today to see if they had an early preg assessment unit but they don’t and the OOH here has v limited facilities.

Good luck op. Let us know how you get on at docs x

Protectingmydaughterfromfilth · 14/11/2017 22:27

How are you OP? Any update? X

EllenRipley · 15/11/2017 12:33

Hello, well pretty sure I’m not pregnant! Have stopped testing as last two were definite negatives and frankly costing a small fortune. Saw my GP on Monday after symptoms worsened, being treated again for a UTI and antiBs actually do seem to have helped a bit. My poor wee urethra feels like it’s taken a kicking! It could explain the nausea and pelvic discomfort. She didn’t have much to say about pregnancy tests, I think she’s erring on the side of cysts or estrogen nosedive but I’ve got the gynae appt tmrw so I will get some answers then - I bloody well hope! Thanks for asking x
