So for about a week now if I'm. Laid really still in bath or on bed, I feel like a ' popping, bubble' feeling. Defo not 🍃 wind. Then a tiny barley noticeable stretching feeling. So it's just above pubic bone and to halfway to belly button if that makes sense. .
I mentioned to doc when I said about the pains I also get elsewhere. And he said no way can you feel that early.
I don't remember feeling my son much only in bath and very late on.. He didnt move much at all tbh.

First dd I didn't feel her til after the 20weeks scan but the others abut 17/18 weeks. You know what to expect so are more aware earlier on I think.

AntagonyAunt · 27/09/2017 16:57

I felt movement early too. The midwife dismissed it as wind. Felt exactly as you decribed. Amazing isn't it Smile

RNBrie · 27/09/2017 16:58

I definitely felt one of my babies at 17 weeks, couple of days before hand in fact. I think it has something to do with where the placenta is. The other two I didn't feel till well after 20 weeks.

Congratulations Grin

BoredOnMatLeave · 27/09/2017 16:59

Very strange for the doctor to say that? I felt my DD move at 14 weeks. What you describe sounds like movement too

GotToGetMyFingerOut · 27/09/2017 16:59

I felt movement the second time at 14 weeks without a doubt. Same time every night that little popping bubbles fluttery feeling. Had to have a scan from bleeding and could feel it and she scanned me and there was the baby jumping around in that exact area.

Third pregnancy was quite late as my placenta was at the front.

FacelikeaBagofHammers · 27/09/2017 16:59

I definitely felt my second move at 17 weeks!

BelafonteRavenclaw · 27/09/2017 17:01

I felt DS1 from 20 weeks but I had definitely felt DS2 by 17 weeks.

TieGrr · 27/09/2017 17:01

Brought my mother to Riverdance when I was about 18 weeks along. DD danced along with the noise the whole time.

DD also smiled at less than three weeks old, despite the midwives claiming it would only be wind at that point. I actually dismissed her first few genuine smiles because of what they'd said.

Banania · 27/09/2017 17:05

I've felt all three of mine move early, very early. This dc3 I've felt from 12 weeks. It's a pretty amazing undeniable feeling and your doctor is wrong.

Mum2oneds · 27/09/2017 17:10

So. I'm not mad crazy 😜.
Yeah I'll ask midwife too. When I said to do he got so excited he ran to put his hand there. I was like no its too early feel outside.. He was gutted. Bless him

First pregnancy and I have been feeling movement since 15 weeks. Your Dr is wrong.

JoWithABow · 27/09/2017 18:00

You'll usually start feeling some movement between weeks 16 and 20 of your pregnancy, although it can sometimes be later than this. These movements may be felt as a kick, flutter, swish or roll.

This is taken directly from an NHS website page about monitoring baby movements...

1stX · 27/09/2017 19:05

Really? I'm 17weeks and there's Defo something going on in exactly the places you describe. The Midwife tried to listen to the heartbeat day before last and baby kept kicking the dopler. She laughed and told me she wasn't surprised I could feel movement. I seem to have a footballer in there!
Trust your body.

Sparrowlegs248 · 27/09/2017 19:09

First DC I felt and saw move at 17 weeks. Laying on my back in the bath

MiniAlphaBravo · 27/09/2017 19:10

Shows how much some doctors know! I think I could feel dd2 at 14 weeks, definitely 16 weeks.

Sparrowlegs248 · 27/09/2017 19:10

It very much depends where the baby is positioned as to whether you feel/see the movements.

SecretFreebirther · 27/09/2017 19:11

Your dr is totally wrong. I could feel dc2 from about 12-14 weeks (admittedly I was repeatedly prodding trying to find the fundus but she definitely poked back!)

Sallywiththegoodhurrr · 27/09/2017 19:12

I have felt all of mine at 14 weeks and it continued getting stronger and more frequent (so it was definitely movement).

I'm currently 15+2 with twins and have been feeling them for a week now. I get some fairly decent kicks in one particular spot too so it's definitely possible!

Lulublu · 27/09/2017 19:13

I felt my first at 17 weeks and my second at 15. You'll have a better idea than your midwife.

KatherinaMinola · 27/09/2017 19:15

he said no way can you feel that early

Well, a man would know, wouldn't he? I felt first movements at 14 wks.

Monstamio · 27/09/2017 19:18

What an odd thing for your doctor to say. It's spot on when you might expect to start feeling the baby move. Mine were at 18 weeks and 16 weeks. Congratulations Flowers

Leavingonajet · 27/09/2017 19:23

I am sure I felt my two at around that time, exactly the popping bubble thing you are describing. Not sure why your doctor would say this.

Oliack1417 · 27/09/2017 19:54

I felt my first and second by 17 weeks. You know what you can feel!

Chipsahoy · 27/09/2017 20:01

I felt my first at 21 weeks ish. Second at 14 weeks. Pregnant with my third but only 8 weeks. He's talking nonsense.
