Any one else feeling the same?? 38 weeks tomorrow and I can't cope with another 2 weeks I feel like crap! Iv developed sciatica so struggling to move or put pressure on my left side. I'm ginormous literally like a big ball I can't even turn over in bed without oh pushing me over and going to the toilet is like the biggest chore in the world.... it's all dragging so slowly!!!

Let's all moan together Sad

I feel ya! I’m 40+1 today and out of my mind with boredom. I finished work at 36 weeks thinking I was probably going to be early, what a fool! Although I was right to finish work then, I just wished I’d planned/thought of some more interesting things and also mentally prepared myself for the long wait! I spend my days googling ‘When did you into labour with your first baby?’ And ‘How to induce labour’ lol. Sending the hubby out for fresh pineapple later and got some raspberry leaf tea on the go. I don’t expect it to help much, but hey, it’s something to do right!?

GlitterSparkles17 · 27/09/2017 15:27

I'm right there with you! 38+4 here and I don't see how I'm going to make it to 40 weeks let alone actually go over!! Takes me so long to do the smallest thing and my back is in agony!

dinosaurkisses · 27/09/2017 15:47

I'm 39+3 and getting very fed up as well. I'm trying not to think about it too much- I'm mainly keen to get things going because I'm booked in for the midwife led unit and I'd love a water birth, which I won't be able to have if I need to be induced.

I'm trying to remain chill about it- she'll come when she's ready and I read on another thread from a lady who was trying everything to get labour started and when it eventually happened, she was totally exhausted from trying to get things going that she wasn't in the right head space for birth.

I've tried to plan things over the next week or so so that I'm looking forward to like getting my nails done or meeting my sister for dinner rather than on tenter hooks waiting for labour!

Littlekezza · 27/09/2017 15:56

I'm 40+5 with sciatica and spd genuinely had enough (huff)

asongforthelovers · 27/09/2017 18:38

Another fed up one here. I’m being induced on Tuesday, I will be glad when it’s finally over.

Don’t think I can handle this pregnancy anymore!!

mummabubs · 27/09/2017 19:17

Yup, 38+4 here and I've definitely had enough! Especially as 2 weeks ago I was told I'd need a c section at 39 weeks, but don't anymore... don't get me wrong I'm happy to have potentially avoided the need for a c sec but equally at least that gave me some certainty as to when I'd be meeting my baby! I was never into "symptom spotting" for a BFP or anything like that before pregnancy but I'm on hyper alert for any sign of labour now!! 🙈🙈

mummabubs · 27/09/2017 19:19

@dinosaurkisses might be worth checking with your hospital as like you I'm down for an MLU water birth so also really don't want to get to the stage of being induced... but the midwife I asked at our NHS class this week said at our hospital even though you'd then be put on consultant led unit you can still potentially have a water birth (which I'd been told before you couldn't). Still longing for the environment MLU gives over CLU but at least I feel like there's a chance of being in the water!

10storeylovesong · 27/09/2017 19:27

Can I join you? I'm on a few threads at minute, but any excuse to chat to likeminded women!

I'm 39+3 today and have absolutely had enough. I'm so sick of hearing people telling me that baby will come when he's ready and to enjoy this time - I know they're right but I'm so fed up. I had a sweep yesterday and midwife was very positive and seemed to think it was imminent. She said my cervix was soft and 1cm long, and that I was 2-3 cm dilated. She said it was a favourable sweep. I think I lost my plug this morning - yellow discharge tinged with blood - and have had on and off back pain all day but nothing seems to be progressing. I've walked miles and scrubbed the house top to bottom but no joy.

Pooshweens · 27/09/2017 21:40

Same here at 38 weeks!!

rosiehull4 · 28/09/2017 09:15

Can I join too? I'm 39+6 and feeling exactly the same, I can't wait to meet baby now.

Ending up sobbing to DP last night about the endless symptom spotting, just feeling huge and constantly being in pain. What made me feel more miserable was that for some reason I thought I would be having a sweep at my midwife appt yesterday but clearly a case of miscommunication occurred as I have to wait until next Wednesday when I'm 40+5 instead Confused. Hopefully I won't make it that far...

How's everyone feeling this morning? I'm going to go for a walk then get on with some cleaning as a distraction/to get baby moving Smile.

10storeylovesong · 28/09/2017 09:18

rosie sounds like we have similar plans! My sweep looks like it's failed, so I've just got back from school run and plan is to walk dog, do a food shop then cleaning. My skirting boards have never been so clean but someone's just told me that cleaning windows got his wife started so that's on the agenda today along with shampooing the carpets as it's a bit more vigorous!

rosiehull4 · 28/09/2017 09:25

Ooh 10storey might have to tackle the windows as well then! Honestly the house is going to look like a showhouse before baby comes..

Actually feeling quite energetic today as opposed to the usual tiredness so may as well make the most of it Smile

asongforthelovers · 28/09/2017 09:34

Nearly there ladies, the last 4 weeks are the worst. It’s a constant “is this it”, I’ve been getting stomach cramps a lot this morning, making me nervous for the real thing as I find these uncomfortable 😥

10storeylovesong · 28/09/2017 09:45

I'm usually quite slovenly. My DH doesn't know what to make of me at the minute, says I've done more cleaning in last 3 weeks than last 3 years. He came home on Monday to find Id emptied and rearranged the entire contents of his wardrobe. I've already washed all the bedding and it's on the line and have stripped all the couch and cushions which are in the machine while I walk dog. I'm hoping this sudden energy even though I've had zero sleep is a sign that something's happening as I've wanted to do nothing but nap and feel sorry for myself recently.

GlitterSparkles17 · 28/09/2017 10:38

I used a toothbrush yesterday to clean all the grout between the bathroom tiles, took me over an hour but they are now gleaming,I'm loving the nesting side of this but just wish baby would hurry!

londonloves · 28/09/2017 10:51

It's my due date today... if anyone else tells me to "enjoy this time" or to "rest up because when the baby comes you'll get no peace", I will punch them!
My feet are like elephants, I can't sleep for more than 45 mins at a time, I pee eighth four thousand times a day and I can't get comfortable anywhere or get out of chairs/bed without groaning like an old woman!
Come on babies!!

10storeylovesong · 28/09/2017 10:58

Ooh glitter that may have to go on my to do list.

The lady in Tesco just insisted on packing my bags and loading them in my trolley. How did she think I was going to get them in car and house?! Clearly didn't want waters going in store!

Littlekezza · 28/09/2017 11:02

10storeylovesong how did your sweep go?

10storeylovesong · 28/09/2017 11:34

The midwife seemed to think it was very favourable. She said cervix was soft, 1cm long, 2-3 cm dilated and that baby's head was right down. She seemed to think it would be successful. However, I believe that if nothing happens in 48 hours it's classed as failed, so it's got 2 hours for something to kick start otherwise it's failed. Apart from losing my plug, nothing else seems to be happening.

Littlekezza · 28/09/2017 11:46

Oh no 😐 here hoping something happens in next 2 hours 🤣 when's next sweep or induction?

mummabubs · 28/09/2017 12:06

@10storeylovesong I hope you don't mind me asking (and feel free to not say if you don't want to!) but how have you managed to get a sweep when you have? I ask as I have my midwife appointment this afternoon- my 36 week appointment was cancelled and today is my 38 week app although I'm actually 38+5... but my next appointment after this isn't until I'm 40+5 so this is my only chance to get anything helped along before I'll already be a week overdue 😩 Just mindful that it's been a month since I've seen my midwife and if anything happens to the next appointment I feel screwed!

Littlekezza · 28/09/2017 12:35

Mummabubs I had a sweep day before my due date (didn't do anything) but I asked and begged as like you my next appointment was far away but wasn't offered and not having a second either..different areas have different views on when to have them

10storeylovesong · 28/09/2017 13:22

mummabubs I just asked tbh. They were quite amenable to it. I did have to agree to follow a pattern if they started it, so first at 39+2, then I'll have another at 40+2 then a third at 40+10 and if they fail then an induction. She had a check whether it was favourable first and did warn she may not be able to do it. Baby is showing as a good size in all growth scans and cervix looked favourable so she went ahead.

mummabubs · 28/09/2017 16:04

I am jealous 10storey, my midwife just said "you don't need one" and said the absolute earliest I can have one is 40+5. (Might have had a bit of a pathetic cry on the way home!) I do get that I'm not at my due date yet but equally wanted to say to her that I've only had 2 weeks in the whole pregnancy where I haven't been sick, I'm not sleeping at night at all and haven't for weeks and my back pain started at 20 weeks... so physically I'm just feeling utterly done with being pregnant! (That and as I was signed off work 10 weeks ago I don't have any of the preparation bits left to do that I was relying on having to occupy me at this stage). Booooo 😩😩
