Hi ladies, I'm stuck for inspiration!

I used to have a banana, some nutbars and maybe some other fruit before I was pregnant, however since going back to work this week I find that this combo doesn't keep me going until break!

Eggs are giving me an upset tummy at the moment so I'm quite lost for any other ideas. Help please? 😘

I've found porridge gives me enough energy to keep going + keeps me full, you can have it with some fruit x

Eleventybillionfucks · 05/09/2017 08:27

Toast with peanut butter
Crumpets with peanut butter
Porridge
Smoothies
Bacon / sausage sandwich

PandaCat · 05/09/2017 08:30

Toast
Crumpets
Toasted Cinnamon and raising bagels
Occasionally bacon sandwiches, or scrambled eggs on toast.

Mostly carbs haha. Milk makes me feel ill so cereal is a no go, but until then I was having wheatabix with honey.

HappydaysArehere · 05/09/2017 08:42

Whole rolled oats covered in milk (I have unsweetened soya) and popped in the microwave for one minute. Not cooked but slightly softened. Have had it for years and keeps me going nearly all day.

Expectingbsbunumber2 · 05/09/2017 09:03

Cereal, toast with peanut butter, fruit or a yoghurt.

tootsieglitterballs · 05/09/2017 09:05

I got to about 3 1/2 months and had to up from 1 slice of toast to 2 slices! I pretty much have the same every day though as I find it keeps me going:
Wholemeal or seeded brown bread with peanut butter, chia seeds and banana on. Works a treat!

sunbird17 · 05/09/2017 09:11

Branflakes with natural yoghurt and berries. A friend introduced me to it at university 8 years ago and I still have it for breakfast every day!

owltrousers · 05/09/2017 09:31

I'm really into breakfast foods! My current favourite is peanut butter on toast with coconut oil instead of butter and then a sliced banana on top with a sprinkle of cinnamon.

Natsku · 05/09/2017 09:31

Muesli with yoghurt and a banana chopped in it. Doesn't keep me going long but nothing does!

dippypanda · 05/09/2017 09:33

Pre pregnancy I used to eat a lot of eggs but went right off them.
Now I've been having weetabix with honey most days or toast and peanut butter.

Ifailed · 05/09/2017 09:34

Can of strongbow, dark fruit, so it counts as one of my 5-a-day.

Sundaylunchhappy · 05/09/2017 10:41

I can't be the only one on pancakes, cake, jam sandwiches and ice buns can I?

I'm trying to get back to porridge, but I feel like unless I don't swallow a mass of sugary stodge first thing, I'm in for a nauseas morning of pure grumpiness!

Annie1290 · 05/09/2017 11:47

Sundaylunch 😂 I never did breakfast pre baby as I don't like breakfast foods(cereal, porridge etc) so I'm joining you on either biscuits, pancakes, pain au chocolat or even better, pop tarts! You are not alone!

Mulch · 05/09/2017 11:50

Eggs eggs and more eggs

Mulch · 05/09/2017 11:51

Ifailed strongbrew sounds delightful

Bluebelltulip · 05/09/2017 11:52

When I was pregnant I had porridge at home then a cereal bar once I got to work.

Ameliablue · 05/09/2017 11:55

I'm struggling with breakfast at the moment but with previous pregnancies, I used to have a roll and square sausage to keep me going.

TonicAndTonic · 05/09/2017 11:57

Though I do regularly eat cereal/porridge, I find that protein is the best for keeping me going the longest before getting hungry again. My go-to
'filling' breakfast would be scrambled egg on toast, but if you're struggling with eggs that moments, that's not too helpful!

I do sometimes have beans on toast for breakfast and it works pretty well for keeping me full, have you tried that?

mumofone234 · 05/09/2017 12:01

My favourite was porridge with nut butter stirred through and a sliced banana on top. Yum!

KittyKat73 · 05/09/2017 12:12

I used to love shredded wheat and a banana and milk with a cuppa tea since being pregnant im totally off cereal, tea and bananas!

can only stomach toast and water in mornings now.

lokelani · 05/09/2017 13:54

Whole rolled oats, enough milk just to cover them. Microwave for 4 mins. Honey on top.

TobleroneBoo · 05/09/2017 14:01

A toasted bagel with butter

MammaBear18 · 05/09/2017 17:00

Thank you ladies, some really lovely and yummy ideas all round! I will be trying them out over the next few weeks 😘

Pre pregnancy I used to have porridge every morning but I just can't face it anymore so have a piece of seeded brown toast with Nutella. ☺ I find the more sugary foods I eat in the morning the better I feel all day. Went without the toast this morning and tried a bowl of special k and was nauseous all morning x

lokelani · 05/09/2017 19:45

I have to say I'm really struggling with milk too. My porridge is so thick its ok (it's almost like flapjack).
