Fortunately all is fine, baby fine , no more blood, cervix fine and right length (was pretty worried about that, had had a shortening incident in my pg with ds). But I've got to try to take it easy (more 'just in case' than because something concrete appears to be wrong) and we're moving to the other end of Germany on Weds. Aaaaaargh. They did say they should really keep me in, if only 'for legal reasons' (i.e. in case something did happen and I sued) - which scared me a bit, but I really don't think it's necessary, and anyway I'm still bf ds to sleep... I've had bits of spotting before in this pg and all was fine - and the twinges don't feel like contractions. But am sitting here with my feet up (couldn't sleep right now if I tried), sure my instinct (to have come home) is right but of course nigglingly worried. I've been through 2 mcs to get this far... sympathy and distractions welcome

Phew! I thought it was going to be bad news - so glad it isn;t

Good luck with the move - but let everyone else make it happen while you stay serene and stressfree

JackieNo · 31/03/2007 22:48

Sigh of relief here too . Hope you can take it easy.

Marina · 31/03/2007 22:55

Thank goodness you are OK, that must have been very distressing.
Best of luck with the move

admylin · 31/03/2007 22:56

Sympathy from Berlin. You must be under stress because of this move. Have you got plenty of helpers to pack? You should really be in a relexing place with your feet up - could you not just leave dh to do it and go and stay with a friend and get waited on?

Greenleeves · 31/03/2007 22:57

OMG I nearly vomited when I saw this thread title

I'm so glad you are both all right. Please take care! xxx

lionheart · 31/03/2007 22:57

Lots of sympathy. Chocolate is a very good distraction imho and of course, must be eaten with feet up.

LedodgyCheapEasterEggsAreASin · 31/03/2007 23:00

Glad is all ok I had a heavy bleed with my dd (first born) at 16 weeks I was convinced we'd lost her then they showed her sucking her thumb oblivious to my worries on the scan. They thought my cervix may have got grazed or something either way she will be four on Tuesday!

CadburyCremeSquonk · 31/03/2007 23:02

Put your feet up and get someone to bring you lots of chocolate and cups of tea.

Glad everything is fine

Greenleeves · 01/04/2007 13:31

OI berol, how are you today? Resting I hope. There is a candle lit in my windowsill for you and the little one

lulumama · 01/04/2007 13:32

hope you are ok and taking it nice and easy, and being waited on hand and foot x

tribpot · 01/04/2007 13:33

Glad you're well bero, as others have said, can you leave dh to do the move? Definitely don't compromise your health or the baby's.

Miaou · 01/04/2007 14:02

Oooh that thread title gave me the shivers bero, so glad to hear you are OK!

Like everyone else said, take care of yourself (and let/make dh do the work of packing) xxx

Woooozle100 · 01/04/2007 15:51

Wishing you all the best. Keep your feet up

hunkermunker · 01/04/2007 15:54

Shivers here too - so glad it's good news!

emkana · 01/04/2007 18:39

I've only just seen this.

Meine Guete Du kannst einem aber auch einen Schrecken einjagen! V. glad that everything's okay. Take it easy, as much as that's possible.

I know all about German doctors wanting to be on the safe side, that led to nine days in hospital with ds when here I would probably have been out in three.

Take care

berolina · 01/04/2007 20:39

Sorry everyone, I haven't been on since last night - I literally did go offline and went to bed - lay awake for a while but then dropped off.

And thanks for the sympathy and good wishes. Sorry to scare people - wasn't intended - sorry feel bad now.

Twinge- and spotting-free today, amazingly. Well, there were one or two twinges in the morning but they've disappeared, and oddly I feel fitter than I have done the last week or two. I also think I felt the baby once
Have been packing boxes very slowly and sedately with lie-downs in between. (I can't withdraw from the packing entirely, because only I know where certain things are and belong... but dh, bless him, is doing the lion's share). I hate and detest the process of moving, even though I'm glad we are, so I think/hope it might just have been the stress of it.

oh berolina what a huge worry for you
much sympathy and hugs
HC xx

berolina · 01/04/2007 20:46

thanks harpsi. Feel crap for worrying people - thought if I put it in Pregnancy it'd be clear things were OK-ish - stupid me. Oh well, suppose I was/am a bit worried myself - am just so glad my cervix hasn't shortened - makes me feel more confident.

Good to hear you are OK . I know moving is hell on earth, but do try and withdraw from the stressful bits of it as much as you can. Sleep, rest, eat, and more sleep!!!

berolina · 01/04/2007 20:49

'hell on earth' is about right I am chased by cardboard boxes in my dreams atm... dh loves it and thrives on all the organising and technical stuff

Never fear, am off to bed as soon as ds is asleep (is being bf as I type)

OP posts:
Greenleeves · 01/04/2007 20:56

Well, if he loves it, let him do all the donkey work!

Nightynight · 01/04/2007 21:22

ooh good luck with the cardboard box nightmare, and hope you can take it a bit easy.

berolina · 01/04/2007 21:50

thanks (NN, I still owe you an email )

Arrrrgh, am not in bed yet. Had just got ds off and put him in his cot when MIL rang, in a bit of state, she obviously thought she was talking to the emergency doctor (had pressed redial, I think). FIL isn't well. Has high blood pressure and was having what dh and I think must have been a panic attack. He eventually came on the phone to dh saying he's fine and he'll go to the doctor tomorrow. He drinks too much, is overweight and has quite a few 'issues' - has probably been mildly depressed for years, I think. All quite worrying
