A friend of mine is Pg with her third and I said today that she could have my baby clothes etc.

The thing is.....after meeting her...I wasn't sure that I feel my family is really 'complete.'

I don't want to turn into one of those Daily Mail families with fifteen children and four washing machines and a husband/partner that is met for half an hour at 8 O'clock every other Tuesday....

But I'm not sure.......

SherlockLGJ · 28/03/2007 22:02

LGJ sighs ...............accepts and starts knitting for Master Bubble, it will be a Master she makes blue babies.

Nemo2007 · 28/03/2007 22:03

bubble it is a big but...I just cant see me not having more even though everything says we shouldnt.

Jennifersofia..that list is all well and good but life is already like that so whats one more...pmsl Even last week when I was sick and all 3 little ones were I actually quite 'enjoyed' it..

zephyrcat · 28/03/2007 22:03

12 weeks now and still not over the shock! I don't think I will be until the scan and I know for definate if there's one or two. Scary!

Spidermama · 28/03/2007 22:04

Bubble I have four and am only just about managing to resist having another for two reasons .

  1. I'm 40 and I don't want to be the old lady doing the school run.
  2. I was given vestibular surgery on the NHS and they told me they'd only do it if I were sure I didn't want another.

(Point 2 I can get round by opting for a C-secton. Come to think of it I might be able to get round point 1 by sending the older kids to do the school run at least sometimes.)

Uh oh! I'm no help to you am I?

I seem to remember you're younger than I am. At your age I'd certainly go for it. I'm already finding that the older siblings do a great deal more helping and spend so much time with their baby brother. I think once you have three you might as well have four and you'll barely notice the difference with five although six would be ideal for that sense of symmetry round the dinner table.

ScoobyDooooo · 28/03/2007 22:04

When is your scan i would be petrified, i have 2 kids & even thinking about a 3rd scares me a bit but i am sure i will have 1 more but that is my max

Spidermama · 28/03/2007 22:05

Zephyr how exciting. Keep us posted and good luck.

Bubble99 · 28/03/2007 22:06

The 'ayes' are outweighing the 'no s' here, aren't they?

You're all just cackling madly and waiting for me to pop up on the 'I haven't slept for a week' threads, aren't you?

Bubble i think you sound like you really want another one so i don't think you will get rid of that feeling until you have done it

Will be waiting for your announcement

Nemo2007 · 28/03/2007 22:07

pmsl bubble I am just waiting for your announcement and then will judge how it is going for you before I dip my toes

KittyLetteMeEatAnEasterEgg · 28/03/2007 22:08

ARGGHHHHH im going through something similar (yet completely different!!!

i DO NOT want another kid, but im dying to be pregnant and give birth,

im seriously considering surrogacy,

i dont want a baby, just a pregnancy,

is that weird?? anyone feel like that?

ScoobyDooooo · 28/03/2007 22:08

Just had a thought imagaine if you tried for just 1 more & ended up with twins or triplets oooh that would kill me off

jennifersofia · 28/03/2007 22:08

aww, you are smitten aren't you?

SherlockLGJ · 28/03/2007 22:08

Do you know what.........??? I wanted four, I got one.

(Oldies will know the story, too boring at this stage to be repeated.)

So go for it...................

Now where are my knitting needles ??

paulaplumpbottom · 28/03/2007 22:09

I think you want another to. I think large familys are lovely. You should go for it.

zephyrcat · 28/03/2007 22:09

How old are your children bubble?

As Scooby says, I don't think the nagging feeling will ever go away as long as you think you might want another... go for it!!!!

ScoobyDooooo · 28/03/2007 22:09

Kitty your mad i would much rather have a baby than the pregnancy or birth but then pregnancy does not suit me & i am a wimp so that explains it for me!

Miaou · 28/03/2007 22:10

Scoob, I was really worried before I went for my scan as I had been so sick, in case it was twins (sorry zephyr, not trying to rub it in!)

zephyrcat · 28/03/2007 22:10

Kitty can you come and have mine for me??? I hate being pregnant!!!

ScoobyDooooo · 28/03/2007 22:11

miaou i was exactly the same with dd i was so ill i could not leave my bed, people kept saying twins so i was relieved when they said only 1, by the way you may be having a girl then

KittyLetteMeEatAnEasterEgg · 28/03/2007 22:12

zeypher i really, really would

i went with my sis to her 36 week antenatal and wanted to cry when i saw the delivery room, i just love giving birth

im actully jealous of her!!

Bubble99 · 28/03/2007 22:12

SM. No help at all. In fact I'm warming to the idea even more.

LGJ. Yes, it would be another boy, no doubt about it. I don't think I'm hangin' out for a girl.

Zeph. Twins will be lovely. I should have had twins.

Miaou. Remind me, how many children do you have? Sorry, post-natal brain.

Scooby. That's just it. Who ever regrets their children?

Nemo2007 · 28/03/2007 22:13

Bubble just looked at your pics and you have to have more...you would be doing an injustice if you didnt as someone who produces such beautiful children you really should do your part

Also cant believe how big Elijah looks

Miaou · 28/03/2007 22:17

Bubble, I'm pg with no. 4 Agree with spidey - the older ones are great at helping out with ds (now 19months) so there is very little for me to do except lounge on the sofa and mumsnet
