Just that really...
I've worked out I will be 27 weeks and the thought of staying for another 3 months kills me! Confused

39 weeks with first baby, 36 with second. Luckily I was overdue with both.

PotteringAlong · 07/08/2017 07:43

37 exactly with dc1, 39+6 with dc2 and 39+5 with dc3

SweepTheHalls · 07/08/2017 07:43

39, 38, 38!

Timefor2 · 07/08/2017 07:44

37.5 with both, longer commute and busy weekends with a toddler made the second time feel much harder

MeltorPeltor · 07/08/2017 07:44

33... but that was because I gave birth early.

My replacement had already started and was really good so I had started using some of my saved holidays and was only working mornings. I was finding work (office job) exhausting. I'm pregnant again now and I can honestly say I don't know how I coped with work, I probably sleep 2-3 afternoons a week.

RedPandaMama · 07/08/2017 07:44

I finished at 32 weeks. Much earlier than most but to be honest I was feeling so crap, exhausted and tired all the time. I'd been off sick twice as my job was so stressful, and involved 8 hours a day on my feet and my boss never even did a risk assessment and treated us horribly. Would have liked to sick it out longer but no regrets at all. Wont be going back either. X

Omg! Ok I'll get back in my box...
Shock

With twins 36
With sixth 37.

MeltorPeltor · 07/08/2017 07:45

(Gave birth early as in, was having contractions at work, child arrived that evening)

OuchBollocks · 07/08/2017 07:46

DD - 38, she was born at 41 weeks
DS - it was supposed to be 37 weeks (One week of annual leave) with a CS at 39 weeks but I ended up going off sick (not pregnancy related) at 33 weeks.

Popskipiekin · 07/08/2017 07:48

DC1 I was scheduled to leave at 38 but waters went at 37.5 so I left immediately and it kicked in on 37.6 - DC arrived at 38. DC2 I left at 36.5 wanting to give myself some time and he didn't rock up until 40.5!

Emeraude · 07/08/2017 07:53

I thought you could only take maternity leave from 29 weeks or is that just my profession?

I went at 34 weeks, but only because I was moving 200 miles away.

crumbsinthecutlerydrawer · 07/08/2017 07:54

37 weeks, two of which were annual leave. DS was born at 37.2 it was a fairly active job where I was on my feet pretty much all day, I think it was the two weeks of me not doing anything that bored him out.

AprilShowers16 · 07/08/2017 07:54

39 weeks - I would have left earlier but I needed the money

chelle85 · 07/08/2017 07:56

Finished at 37+2 but used AL to reduce to 4 days (Weds off so I only had two days of work at a time) from 33wks

picknmiss · 07/08/2017 08:02

38 weeks with DS, hopefully be the same this time too although my commute is longer so we'll see!

Crumbelina · 07/08/2017 08:03

I went at 37.5 weeks last time (with the last half a week working from home). Think I'm going at 37.5 weeks again this time (am almost 33 weeks now). The end is in sight! It can't come soon enough though - I'm a London commuter with a 1.5 hour one way commute and South West Trains are currently buggered!

Crumbelina · 07/08/2017 08:04

Oh, and DD1 came at 42 weeks so I had one week of sorting things out and relaxing and then 4 weeks of being ridiculously bored!

eggsbenedict89 · 07/08/2017 08:04

@Emeraude oooh I don't know?!
I just used the maternity calculator on the government site and it gave me my earliest possible date to start x

32 weeks, I would have stayed longer but I had accumulated Holidays that I would have lost if I didn't take them! So used them all up! Had baby at 39 weeks x

thethoughtfox · 07/08/2017 08:09

38 weeks

MiniAlphaBravo · 07/08/2017 08:12

37 weeks with both.

I also thought 29 weeks was earliest.
Why do you want up to 15 weeks off before baby arrives? Do you have lots of health issues? If not maybe rethink as it is normally considered better to use maternity leave for when baby is here. I had nearly 5 weeks off before baby as both of mine were late and it was too much really, though with dc2 it was lovely to have the time with dc1.

My last day of work was 23rd of December as we close for Christmas. Maternity leave technically started on around the 7th of January he was born the 22nd of January

Firsttimemama2017 · 07/08/2017 08:21

I finished at 36 weeks using annual leave. It was perfect, 4 weeks of chilling on the sofa before baby arrived!
