I'm 15 weeks
It's Saturday night
I've just threw up so hard that I pissed myself and got a nosebleed at the same time

I'm 15 weeks!! I should be done with this shit!
I want to be glowy and barefoot and waft around all serene like in a multicoloured kaftan type thing rubbing my bump

Not spending my Saturday night cleaning up leakages from every fucking orrifice off my bathroom floor

Who's got my glow!?!
I want it now!!

Angry

The glow is a myth. It's a lie they tell to make pregnancy seem magically and lure unwary women into reproducing, 32 weeks here and the only glow I have is from still vomiting Hmm

Where the fuck is my fucking glow?!

40+3... honey, I can tell you now, the glow is a LIE.

KanyesLunchbox · 06/08/2017 01:05

Dd is 7. I'm still waiting for my glow

ScrambledSmegs · 06/08/2017 01:09

I glowed when pregnant with DC2.

Oh, no, sorry. It was sweat Blush

TheVanguardSix · 06/08/2017 01:15

15 years later... still tapping my fingers waiting for the glow I'm owed! Meanwhile, my crow's feet have merged with chin lines. Chin lines!

I never ever fulfilled my Pregnant Earth Mother Glowy look, OP. I sure hope you do. You deserve it for the nosebleed alone! Flowers

32 weeks and if one more person tells me I look "well" I may resort to physical violence. I do not look or feel well. In fact the only thing that looks half decent is my hair, and I pissed myself while vomiting in the hairdressers last week and had to wrap a cardigan round my waist then get DH to pick me up as couldn't walk home. Oh the glamour!

mysecret321 · 06/08/2017 08:14

God knows, 24w and still waiting...

Hanl30 · 06/08/2017 08:19

39+5 & think I glowed for 24hrs at some point. Always some sort of pregnancy symptom going on 😂

Pa55ThePr0secc0 · 06/08/2017 08:22

It doesn't exist...pregnancy is made out to be this beautiful, blooming, glowing time in a woman's life Hmm I swelled to the size of a whale and sweated more than I glowed!! The worst part...the amount of people that have the theory 'girls take their mothers beauty/glow you must be having a girl'....I had a boy Confused haha it will all be worth it soon!!

Ineverpromisedyouarosegarden · 06/08/2017 08:35

With Ds1 I vomited for forty weeks! Was still throwing up in the delivery suite.

He was almost 4kg. I looked like I had been seriously ill.

Glow!! I would have settled for an end to the puking.

ememem84 · 06/08/2017 08:38

Yeah...I'm 32 weeks and still haven't found the glow. Maybe I'm doing something wrong.

I asked dh yesterday whether I'd glowed yet. He asked if that was a euphemism for farting. If so I've done that.

Where the fuck is my fucking glow?!
tootsieglitterballs · 06/08/2017 08:39

It's nonsense. 24 weeks and still ain't got it. It's all a myth!

TooLow · 06/08/2017 08:46

Aww OP that sounds horrible. Pregnancy really is hard.
I'm 23 weeks and I'm spotty, tired and just feeling shit in general take my advice and DON'T weigh yourself

ScarlettInSpace · 06/08/2017 08:49

I'm 16 weeks today, Someone told me I was glowing last week.

Ha!

No dear, that's coming from a thick layer of Maybelline's strobing stick, definitely not within Envy

thingymaboob · 06/08/2017 10:04

The "glow" is bullshit. After weeks of vomiting and dehydration, my skin is so flakey and dry, it's like a snow storm every time I scratch. I have skin flakes the size of £1 coins coming away from my scalp. Those idiot Pinterest pregnancies make me so angry. Pregnancy is awful!

AdorableMisfit · 06/08/2017 10:17

16 weeks and I have the worst rosacea ever all over my nose and cheeks. I look like a spotty Rudolf and it hurts like hell too. And due to being pregnant I can't use any of the treatments I usually would to get rid of it, because my GP says there is insufficient evidence to know that they're safe. So yeah... I'm glowing all right - like a bright red stop light!

Ratbagratty · 06/08/2017 10:20

16 weeks,no glow just getting waves of exhaustion that no-one understands

ememem84 · 06/08/2017 10:20

toolow I've weighed myself. I've put on 10kg during pregnancy. I'm officially heavier than dh. Sigh.

Oysterbabe · 06/08/2017 10:23

21 weeks and I feel like arse, so much worse than with my first. Counting the days until I can start maternity leave and start a new life on the sofa.

NoCapes · 06/08/2017 11:45

Flowers all round - pregnancy is so shit isn't it!

I know the glow is a bit of a myth, although I did glow briefly in my second pregnancy, 'twas a lovely time
I just thought I'd be past the full on uncontrollable painful vomming by now
I am so so over it

Oh and what are all you crazy people doing weighing yourselves!?! The midwife weighed me on Thursday and I've put on 10lb!! In 15 weeks, whilst being sick up to 4/5 times a day Shock I'll be an actual rhinoceros if I stop throwing up at any point

Oh thingymabob I have that too, had to stop wearing foundation because it looks scaly, and my lips are all cracked and vile
so so glamorous!

How do these Pinterest people do it!?!

nocapes airbrushing. That's the secret.

I'm not feeling glowy today but am feeling pretty good. Just walked 7k foraging for blackberries. I'm tired now but know being outdoors will have done me the world of good.

No glow.

35+3 now and not thrown up in at least 5 weeks which is amazing!!! Not everyone's nausea stops at 12 weeks - that's another lie.

Pregnancy has been hideous. I'm looking forward to childbirth because at least I won't be pregnant any more, I couldn't give two hoots about the pain, bring it on!

Mandraki · 06/08/2017 20:47

31 weeks here and still waiting to glow! The only glow I have is from the copious sweat I have in various bizarre places (think wrists, calves!) and from a lovely huge boil that has appeared on my fandango just this morning. But yeah, pregnancy is magical..wafty, floaty kaftans and shit!
