I'm 15 weeks
It's Saturday night
I've just threw up so hard that I pissed myself and got a nosebleed at the same time

I'm 15 weeks!! I should be done with this shit!
I want to be glowy and barefoot and waft around all serene like in a multicoloured kaftan type thing rubbing my bump

Not spending my Saturday night cleaning up leakages from every fucking orrifice off my bathroom floor

Who's got my glow!?!
I want it now!!

I feel you! 5 nosebleeds a day on average. And a bad back - at 13 weeks!!!x

10storeylovesong · 09/08/2017 18:01

imen I'm living on greens, red meat, fortified cereal, dried apricots etc and taking 210mg x 3 a day iron tablets. Unfortunately my levels keep dropping. Sometimes it's not quite that simple...

ememem84 · 09/08/2017 18:12

I bought fake tan today. Maybe that'll give me a glow...

PumbletonWakeshaft · 09/08/2017 21:35

I didn't glow when I was pg. I was too fucking tired from chronic restless legs every night, chronic heartburn from eating everything, and chronic bloody trapped wind.

Not everyone glows, and that's ok. It's also ok to really dislike being pregnant and still enjoy the outcome.

My DDs are 11 and 12 now but remember that I didn't glow with either. Had to have an iron infusion with DD2.

Sick til 14 weeks with both. I have a friend who was sick all the way through til the birth.

It might not happen I'm afraid.

Congrats though, it's all worth it.

I totally get this!! People keep saying "oh you wait till the glow!" Urm no pet, that's not a glow! That's sweat from how out of breath I am getting just from trying to get dressed!

ShoesHaveSouls · 10/08/2017 01:06

I had a glow for precisely one week - I believe it was around 23weeks - then I just turned into a heffer.

10storeylovesong · 10/08/2017 07:43

imen Spatone is 5mg of iron per sachet. My levels are dropping even though I'm taking 630mg iron a day.

lydiangel83 · 10/08/2017 09:10

People keep telling me I'm blooming which I take as a code for fat and knackered which is how I actually look!

nousername123 · 10/08/2017 11:39

I'm 15w3d and I'm not glowing, my first trimester I didn't have nausea or any symptoms really apart from feeling tired. I had food poisoning last week and I've just developed a chest infection, I look like death, I want a glow!! I've seen glowing pregnant ladies before and just thought I would look that good. I look like shit. I don't even look pregnant, I've lost 2 stone since being pregnant 😩

Megha22 · 10/08/2017 11:48

Trust me they are liars there is nothing like pregnancy glow, 2 pregnancies down i never had one, rather i am suffering with pigmentation, i think just a trick to get women into having kids! don't be disappointed i am sure your glow will be there when you have your kid!

LittleCandle · 10/08/2017 12:07

I was told my hair looked fab when I was pregnant, but I paid for that after the birth when I had some bald patches! I don't remember a glow, though. I had bad morning sickness with both of mine, but it thankfully eased by the second trimester. I made a point of never weighing myself.

DD1 had an unexpected pregnancy and she really suffered through it. She already had bladder issues, which got worse, she lost over 7kgs, despite having a 7lb+ baby and could barely keep anything down. Her iron levels were shocking, and she doesn't absorb iron properly, so she was like her own ghost as well. Her DP wants them to have another baby - I somehow doubt that is going to happen!

6+2 and I haven't been able to breathe out of my nose for a fortnight. (Just started a thread of my own haha). I snore like a trooper. Glow my arse.
