Hi jordimai ! Congratulations Hun GrinGrin was it planned? I'm due about April 5th I think but not had any midwife appointments yet.. how are you feeling? Xx

jordimai · 05/08/2017 14:02

I wish I could say it was planned but it really wasn't! Gave me a huge shock and it took me a week to actually come to terms with it & sort of believe it! I haven't seen anybody either yet but my mum believes I'm due around 14th April! So excited! X x

You tested a week ago? Are you sure your dates are right? In those dates your period would be due todayish. Is it possible that you're a month further along?

jordimai · 05/08/2017 14:32

No I tested about 2 and a half weeks ago, I'm around 3-4 weeks gone and I know this as I've taken a clear blue digital and last week it said 2-3 weeks☺️

Congrats OP... your dates are slightly off though.. you could your 40 weeks from the first day of your last period!

For example i am due on 26th October and the first day of my last period was 19th January

Hope this helps!

Try this;

www.mumsnet.com/pregnancy/due-date-calculator

I think you're looking at a March due date.

Do you know when the first day of your last period was?

Congratulations, anyway, regardless of dates! Cake

jordimai · 05/08/2017 14:49

The link you gave me has calculated 2nd April☺️ thank you x

Congratulations! I'm 21 so also young (everyone at my antenatal class was like 30-40!) and 40 weeks 3 days pregnant waiting for my daughter to be born!

jordimai · 05/08/2017 14:55

I'm a young mum to a 3 month old:) a bit older than you but age means nothing! congratulations, it's the most amazing job:) x

jordimai · 05/08/2017 15:09

Thank you, I really cannot wait, a little nervous, especially about the labour and pain is really not my thing😅 however, I know it'll be worth it😍

harleysmammy · 05/08/2017 15:52

I know everyone's different but my pain threshold was non existent before giving birth, I was only in labour 2 and a half hours and pushed for 7 minutes. I did it without pain relief and it wasn't all that bad, just like bad period pain. Everyone's different but if I can do it anyone can haha x

silkpyjamasallday · 05/08/2017 16:37

Congratulations! I'm 22 and have a 10 month old daughter, being a younger mum is great, you will have so much more energy than you would in your 30s or 40s. Sleepless nights haven't really affected me at all. All my midwives told me my labour would be a breeze as I was young, and they were right! Keep yourself in a positive mindset about it as panicking releases hormones that slow labour down. It's good to have mumsnet for any questions you have, read read read during your pregnancy to prepare and ask about anything you want to know, it is a really useful resource I've found.

Hi everyone,

I'm 19 and due in 16 days with a little boy!

Absolutely petrified!
