Thanks for the updated list @CL1982 and for the sympathy re my rather odd family traits @mummygof2boys and @kerryleanne84 . At least the letter was addressed to my actual name, usually DM will address post to DH and I as Dr and Mrs DHinitial DHsurname (I didn't change my name on marriage), so its a start. All families have some oddness about them, don't they (hopes...).
I think everything should be fine if we travel. The consultant is the one we saw with Olivia, so if there are any scientific papers published on this I have no doubt that she will have read them.
Thinking of scientific papers etc, Dr Google is generally not a good idea and papers out of context can cause all sorts of mind worry whirring, however @CL1982 you might find the following link reassuring. It is from the miscarriage association.
www.miscarriageassociation.org.uk/information/worried-about-pregnancy-loss/ultrasound-scans/
On 1999 data it states
"Research amongst women with a history of recurrent miscarriage has shown that those who saw a heartbeat at 6 weeks of pregnancy had a 78% chance of the pregnancy continuing. It also showed that seeing a heartbeat at 8 weeks increased the chance of a continuing pregnancy to 98% and at 10 weeks that went up to 99.4%"
If I've read the dates correctly your recent scan puts you in the 98% bracket. Obviously stats aren't everything, and we had a complication with Olivia which was something like 0.0001% likely (and a perfectly normal 12 week scan), but I am finding these stats reassuring with this pregnancy.
After all despite the nausea, boob pain, exhaustion, terrible constipation etc, each pregnancy day is valuable and something we can celebrate.
