I'm 4w5d and wondered if anyone else fancied joining me on the amazing journey to come?
First, second, third or fourth (or more!!) timers welcome!

This will be #1 after a long 18 months of miscarriages, infertility and heartache but i'm feeling super positive about this one and ready to enjoy the next few months!

Anyone just found out they're preggers and want some buddies?

Also to raise a new issue - bras!

I'm into soft cups with no underwire as honestly....can't deal with it right now. The girls are not happy (luckily they are small). I'm going to get measured properly at the end of this trimester but what is everyone doing about bras? I read on the Mothercare site that you'll need at least 2 measurements for bras?! My tatas are pretty bijou....i won't need two lots of bras, right?!

Thanks CL1982. I've been able to eat which is good and have been trying to have small snacks. Cherry drops have been a life saver at the moment. I can thankfully work from home so ended up doing that today but will have to try brave the office tomorrow.
Have no advice on bras sorry although I need to go grab some new ones soon and will prob try underwire now for comfort.

mummyGof2boys · 17/07/2017 12:53

Oh girls I just feel horrendous. So ill and I was constipated too so had to take lactulose. The heat isn't helping either. It's making me feel more sick xx

KerryLeanne84 · 17/07/2017 12:54

CL - I think those twinges are round ligament pains from your uterus expanding - I've been getting them! :)

I saw an ad for a bra that won an award for being the most comfortable - it's for maternity and then breastfeeding.... think it was this one - www.amazon.co.uk/Mamaway-Maternity-Seamless-Breastfeeding-Australia/dp/B00FQV6D1S?tag=mumsnetforum-21

CL1982 · 17/07/2017 13:41

@1sttime84 glad that helped. ooo cherry sweets! Yes. I may pick some of these up at Tesco. I wound up just getting some non underwired ones from M&S. The worst has happened. Non underwired bras. Jeesh.

@kerryleanne84 ah ok! I wondered. I always wondered if they'd feel more sort of long as opposed to twingey (if that makes ANY sense!!?). It's such an odd feeling when your body is changing. I hear week 8 is the week it all starts going mad though growth wise....

@mummygof2boys i'm so sorry. If it's any consolation i thought i was coping well and then was almost sick on a colleague just now at lunch. It was awful. Halfway through my trusty cheese sandwich.

Constipation wise all i can say is fibre. Have an apple or even better get some raspberries and try and eat them everyday (they are stupidly high in fibre) and drink water wherever you possibly can. Huge hugs. I have also just ordered in desperation some Preggie Pop drops from a website called Purple Turtle. They are pricey but i'm hoping will keep things from getting too bad. if it gets really bad get to your GP. They have medication that can help.

Well, i was feeling slightly worried/cocky earlier as i didn't have any tiredness and barely any nausea on my first day back at work post hols and then the sandwich thing happened and now i can't keep my eyes open. Nightmare.

8 weeks and 4days here with #2! A genuine shock! I thought I was only about 5 weeks until Drs confirmed it today!! 😊

mummyGof2boys · 17/07/2017 14:03

Thanks @CL1982 I'm right off fruit which is a nightmare for me. I always start my day with a homemade smoothie and I'm just can't face it. Same with water I normally drink
About 3 litres of water a day and I'm
Barely Managing to drink a litre. What do you do for work? I'm
A childminder with normally 6 kids at a time including My two and I'm
Struggling 😷😷

CL1982 · 17/07/2017 14:07

Oh my gosh @mummyGof2boys that sounds hard core! I work in customer service for some pretty demanding older ladies and with a lot of volunteers which is just a joy (not). It's lots of being polite which i'm finding very very hard today!!!

Oh no - even citrus fruit? Try and see if you can manage it. I don't fancy it but i make myself choke it down!! Easier said than done i know.

Welcome @the Mrs04 :) I'd love to find out i'm further along than i am!!!!

@CL I've been getting a few of them and it feels very odd definitely. I think the main way you know it's that and not other cramps its that it's at either side, like if you put your hand on your hips, from where your middle finger rests down to your groin in a line, more likely to be on the right side though - oh and they're brought on by movement.

CL1982 · 17/07/2017 14:44

AHHH! Yes then that is it :) How strange. And it's on the right hand side. So interesting.

Has anyone else had the whole excess saliva thing? I'm starting to feel like i'm missing out here on that one!

OP posts:
mummyGof2boys · 17/07/2017 15:06

@CL1982 yes!!! The extra saliva I'm putting down to the nausea. It's horrid. I might buy some weetabix to try too. I would hate to try and be polite to people 😂😂

CL1982 · 17/07/2017 15:28

@mummygof2boys I don't have it at all thank goodness. Maybe i'm just naturally spitty!!!

@CL1982 😂😂😂😂

Lauralou031986 · 17/07/2017 18:31

Iv heard next do good maternity bras which also double as nursing bras, I can't believe I'm already starting to show at 12wks, with my first I didn't start showing properly until about 20wks, defo think it's a girl this time round

Azalea08 · 17/07/2017 18:46

Hello ! I am 15 weeks with my first and keep getting told 'I must be having a girl because I cant drink coffee ?' has any one else heard of that pregnancy myth ?! apparently if you cant drink tea its going to be a boy ? Any one else been told this ?

Lauralou031986 · 17/07/2017 19:07

@Azalea08 iv never heard of that tbh, are you going to find out the sex of the baby?

mummyGof2boys · 17/07/2017 20:16

@Lauralou031986 do you just have a feeling? What do you have already? I can't drink tea so it could be my third boy but I hate coffee anyway so no idea lol. I don't have a feeling at all this time.

Lauralou031986 · 17/07/2017 20:34

@mummyGof2boys yeah but only because 1st time round with my lil boy I had no symptoms at all, but this time round Iv had a few different symptoms, guess we'll find out in about 8 weeks time. Did you have similar symptoms with your 2 boys?

KerryLeanne84 · 18/07/2017 07:20

Not heard that myth about the coffee ... sounds slightly grasping at straws! 😅

mummyGof2boys · 18/07/2017 07:41

@Lauralou031986 Iv been ill with all three but this time my boobs are agony which Iv never had and so so tired. I'm guessing that's just because I have another two to run about after.

SS81C · 18/07/2017 08:04

I couldn't drink tea in my last pregnancy and it was a girl.....i think basically all those things are old wives tales.....sadly....but it's fun guessing.
I'm still in my maternity / nursing bras from last pregnancy - they're just too comfortable.....will find out what they're called because I loved them. So comfortable - but I never got on with structured nursing bras I found them too cumbersome with feeding but that's probably just me....

CL1982 · 18/07/2017 08:50

Well, after last night looks like I'm going to have to buy a night bra. I have never had boobs like it!! They're small but fierce 😂

Coffee wise I can't not STAND the smell of it but I also don't want it if that makes sense. It just doesn't appeal and I used to be on lots of cups a day.

I really struggled back at work yesterday ladies. It was awful. I fell asleep on DH watching a tv show. I was just so tired and sick. I have ordered some special morning sickness sweets I hope will help today.

My best friend also went off tea in her first pregnancy and not the second - they were both boys :) I am definitely going to find out what it is at the 20 week scan though

Lauralou031986 · 18/07/2017 10:04

I can't wait to find out Smile

1sttime84 · 18/07/2017 10:06

I was told my hospital won't tell me 😞
