I'm 4w5d and wondered if anyone else fancied joining me on the amazing journey to come?
First, second, third or fourth (or more!!) timers welcome!

This will be #1 after a long 18 months of miscarriages, infertility and heartache but i'm feeling super positive about this one and ready to enjoy the next few months!

That's really good news CL Smile

I've just done a FRER and definitely knocked up. I figure my EDD to be March 28th (I have long cycles). Anyone close by?

KerryLeanne84 · 14/07/2017 15:05

Sally that's amazing! 3 girls is my dream, I won't lie. After finding it so hard to fall pregnant I will take what I get of course but I would really love a gifl (it's my first). :)

blueobsessive · 14/07/2017 18:33

Hello again. Congrats @CL1982 with your scan. Mine is next tues. Still spotting a bit each day which is worrying. Pretty sure I'm still pregnant as I have started crying at adverts and today at lunchtime I was both really nauseus and really wanted chips - at the same time - which was odd. This evening only chicken wings and melon will do (DH home soon-sure he'll be delighted!)

How's everyone else getting on with the tiredness and cravings?

CL1982 · 14/07/2017 19:02

@blueobsessive How far along are you now? Have you spoken to your dr?

The food thing is just so weird isn't it. I ate curry for lunch so went out and bought curry for DH and I. Guess what I don't want now. Yurp...sodding curry. Have to find a way to tell DH now... 😵

Hi everyone. Well my period didn't come so I'd better do a test in the morning before heading off for a 'boozy weekend'! Need to know whether to drink or pretend, which will be tricky. Can't do the test without dh though. We have 2 little kids already. I really wanted 3 but now nervous about how dh will cope to be honest. Conceived first go with the other 2, and very easy pregnancies with no symptoms. If this is it, it took an extra month this time. Sleep deprivation is a killer but babies are the best thing ever! Hope you're all well.

blueobsessive · 15/07/2017 10:52

Hello. Good luck with your test @blinkineckmum

@CL1982 I'm 6+3. I saw the gynaecologist in epagu a couple of weeks back who confirmed there was a sac in the uterus (not the tubes) and rebooked to see me this tues. Ive had a tel appointment with my gp (Florid thrush- tmi) who didn't seem to think there was any need to see me. I texted rheumatology and he are happy with me maintaining current meds. They emailed the maternal medicine prof so I've got an appointment with her on 14 Aug. Checking in appointment hasn't apparently been processed yet but I'll check gain at the desk on Tuesday. No appointment yet for the prematurity clinic but I've discovered they do drop ins on Wednesdays so if the little one is looking potentially viable on tues I'll drop in on the wed to see what they think re the bleeding and stitches. Luckily I live 800m from the hospital so all this dropping in and out isn't taking up a totally massive amount of time (although as a self employed person, time spent not earning =no pay).

Hope your DH coped with dinner. Mine was most gracious (declining the melon). He does our stocking up on a Sunday so I think is rather dreading the list...

CL1982 · 15/07/2017 11:41

@blueobsessive def push for what you feel you need. We had pizza last night. Oh my god. Cue heartburn all evening and then this morning the less said the better. My stomach is not happy. Tried to have a large bowl of cereal and raspberries this morning to push the fibre intake a little higher. Feeling terrible this morning....!!

Congrats on the scan CL! Just had mine at the Fetal Medicine Centre, hearbeat good, size good for 9 weeks, placenta etc. Such a relief!

Did all the other Thursday scans go well?

1sttime84 · 15/07/2017 13:46

We saw a heart beat today ❤️ Am not as far long as I thought and new EDD is 11.03. Feels more real now 😊

KerryLeanne84 · 15/07/2017 15:54

Ah congratulations both!!

CL - I've had dominoes for tea the past few nights! Gosh it was delicious 🍕

CL1982 · 15/07/2017 16:30

@1sttime84 @smeerf Congrats on the scans!

@kerryleanne84 I really enjoyed it but apparently Win Nugget is very picky as to what it likes 😂 Oh the guy rot was horrible and my tummy this morning worse!

@KerryLeanne84 dominoes sounds sooooo good, may have to order one this week @smeerf it's sooo good seeing that tiny heart beating we had our scan Thursday and we're 11wks 😀

wishiwasinbed82 · 16/07/2017 07:54

May I join you? I'm 8w, due 23/02. Fifth go after 4 miscarriages (since found out boyfriend has balanced translocation so it's pregnancy roulette). Have been waiting to lose it but had booking appt. yesterday, and I've never got that far before. Going for EPU scan on Monday for peace of mind. Any tips for feeling joyful (MW recommendation) while incredibly nervous??

KerryLeanne84 · 16/07/2017 08:28

Oh Wish! Congratulations and I'm so sorry for your losses. It must be really hard waiting for the ground to drop out from
Under you at all times. I struggle with feeling joy too even though I keep telling myself 'you should be happy' but i believe that's very common for women who've had infertility or miscarriages - we just keep expecting something to go wrong.

I have read various advice online about trying to have a positive mindset - have you seen the miscarriage reassurer website? It tells you your odds - i.e. Mine right now are 92% it will all be okay. I've also seen advice saying to celebrate the point you're at right now but try not to think about what ifs etc - easier said than done! ❤️

wishiwasinbed82 · 16/07/2017 18:24

Thanks @kerryleanne84. V comforting to hear others in a similar mindset. Am allowing myself a bit of hope as have been very sick - boyfriend has read morning sickness is a good sign and can barely contain his disappointment if I manage to keep a meal down!
Have good weeks all.

mummyGof2boys · 16/07/2017 21:05

8weeks 2 days today with third baby and I feel like my tummy has popped already. Hubby says I can pass it off with having had too many burgers 😂😂 #thebloatisreal

KerryLeanne84 · 16/07/2017 22:30

You tummy is a lot flatter than mine but then mine is mainly from cake 😅

mummyGof2boys · 17/07/2017 09:17

@KerryLeanne84 😂😂 it could just be all the carbs I'm having to try and get through this sickness. Feel like utter crap

1sttime84 · 17/07/2017 11:17

Hello. Hope everyone is doing well. Was wondering if anyone had any tips for nausea and wanting to sleep all the time. The nausea isn't limited to the morning and whilst I'm keeping food down I feel like I need to be near a toilet basin at all times just in case 🙈

1sttime84 · 17/07/2017 11:21

Spoke to soon about food staying down 🤢

LJFM2B · 17/07/2017 11:22

@mummyGof2boys this is my first and im showing 100% - i have thought sevral times that it could be twins because im totally showing and only 8 weeks ... Confused but it could be one of a few things

Im just really really really bloated all the time?
im further along than i think and my last period wasnt actually a period and more of a with drawel from pill
Twins
Just showing early?

KerryLeanne84 · 17/07/2017 11:32

How's everyone doing today? I still feel okay apart from being tired! Not much nausea yet - though my mum did mention that she didn't get any sickness with me so fingers crossed I'll be lucky like her!

KerryLeanne84 · 17/07/2017 11:34

1sttime - have you tried ginger sweets or biscuits? I've heard they work

1sttime84 · 17/07/2017 11:45

Will give them a go thanks Kerry. Plain bread helped but was getting sick of stuffing my face with dry bread 🙈

CL1982 · 17/07/2017 11:57

@kerrylianne84 Yes mine is all cake too :D There was a definite little pot belly there before although i'm feeling a little 'full' down there now - I do wonder when you start to actually 'feel' it all. I mean, if my womb is the size of a grapefruit you'd have thought it would be at least feelable from inside?!

I do get the odd twinge at the bottom right of my pelvis almost on the hip bone so i don't know if that's anything. I was also very windy this morning!!!

@1sttime84 It sucks i know. I'm not so bad in the morning but it gets progressively worse through the day. I find little and often is best so I usually start with raspberries and oatibix and milk then have an oat cake or water when i start to feel it creep on until lunch.

Also small portions are a must (I'm living on cheese sandwiches for lunch at the moment). Ginger doesn't help me much although Belvoir do this amazing ginger cordial which isn't half bad - www.belvoirfruitfarms.co.uk/our-drinks/type/cordials/ginger-cordial/)

I hope it gets better soon :(
