Hi all
I know everyone is having a tough day, not sure about posting this but we had an 18 week scan today at the preterm clinic so that they could make a plan if we had any complications due to uterus shape or cervix. All good. We have been discharged from them completely and now back in the care of just the fat mamma clinic (metabolic clinic). Baby all good and looking great. Such a relief.

Fantastic miami fat mamma clinic Grin

Lifeofpies · 25/07/2017 13:51

That's wonderful Miami - always room for good news!

TeaAndPjs · 25/07/2017 14:39

Wonderful miami

lifeofpies i had been told that previously but at the same time they were a bit more reluctant this time as im waiting to see a genetics specialist as 1 trisomy loss is very common but 2 isnt (1/16000) and that puts me at higher risk of it happening again so had agreed to wait till after I'd seen specialist but we weren't careful enough and got a little surprise

Brenna24 · 25/07/2017 16:59

That is great news Miami.

I hope things go well with the genetics people Tea

PTphonehome · 25/07/2017 17:06

Just checking in for the first time in a while.
24+1 and still in shock that this is actually happening.

I am so sorry for those who are struggling just now, my recurrent miscarriage dept will only see you after 3 mc so push to be seen as early as you can x

anxiouscrazycatlady · 25/07/2017 18:55

So sorry halloumi :( Try and book in with your GP as soon as you can and see what they say. Sending you bigs hugs.

TeaAndPjs did you find out it was trisomy losses after 3 miscarriages and testing? Yours sound just like mine, I'm wondering if that's what I've had. Not great that nothing can be done about it though...

Thisismadness77 fingers crossed for this time. I got symptoms both times just before my period was due.

mogulfield did you hear back from your MW? I know symptoms can come and go but it's still terrifying.

Brilliant news for both Miami81 and PTphonehome :) So happy for you both.

I had my ERPC today, not as traumatic this time but I think it's because I knew what was happening. I got given my own side room as well, not sure if they felt a bit sorry for me as I'd only recently been in for the same thing. I've ordered It Started With an Egg and am currently eating as much chocolate that can fit in me. Then will have a think and chat about how we move forward in the next couple of days.

Thank you for all your support and kind thoughts, it means so much to me xxx

WLMcI · 25/07/2017 19:07

@halloumisandwich and @anxiouscrazycatlady I'm so sorry for you both. Holding your hands through whatever comes next, and lots of love to you both Flowers

WLMcI · 25/07/2017 19:09

@Miami81 Another wonderful scan, yay! Good news is so helpful.

I have started prenatal yoga classes, which are brilliant particularly for relaxation and meeting other ladies in the area. There is a mantra that the instructor suggests while doing the focused relaxation at the end, and she said it helped her all the way through labour too: "I am calm, I am confident. I was made to birth my baby." I always cry a little bit at the last part, but I feel it's very affirming and could strike a chord with some of us on this thread. X

mogulfield · 25/07/2017 19:18

anxious I hope you're feeling as well as can be expended, take care of yourself. After my MC I ate all of the pate, got tipsy on lovely red wine and had unpasteurised goats cheese! It did cheer me up a small amount.
My MW called but I missed it, I then chased her all afternoon so I'm no further forward! No more pains and symptoms are semi there (slightly sore boobs, felt a bit sick earlier)

TeaAndPjs · 25/07/2017 19:32

anxious yeah I had 2 MCs years ago so when I I'd the 3rd last October they sent tissue away for testing and same again in May there! 1st 2 MCs were totally diff so don't think it was same thing then, but last 2 preg have been same in terms or symptoms and scans
1st scan- you're not as far on as you think
2nd scan - there's progress (and HB) (only saw in most recent loss)
3rd scan- there's been no progress and no in, pregnancy not viable!
I could have harmony test I stead of all the scans and waiting but really don't have the money to do it and by the time I get app for genetics (been waiting 6weeks already) I'll have had next scans anyway

JCleRoux · 25/07/2017 21:06

Hi all,

haven't been on here for a while.

Just did a quick catch up and I am so sorry to @hallumisandwhich and @anxiouscatlady Flowers

Great news @Mimai81. Had a giggle at the fat mamma clinic

I have been thinking about prenatal yoga, glad you are enjoying it @WMLci.

I am now 19 weeks and going for my 20 week scan on Thursday. I am still surprised I made this far and am not taking each day for granted. I have actually only really started being happier about this pregnancy in the last few weeks. It wasn't until I had a very difficult and challenging counselling session that I came around somewhat.

SayItIsntSo1 · 25/07/2017 21:10

I'm so sorry anxious and halloumi. I hope you have lots of support and can be kind to yourselves.

Lovely news on your scan Miami.

Good luck for your scan JC.

@WLMcI Are those the Daisy prenatal classes? I'm thinking of going for those too as I definitely need some active birth prep and relaxation - and I love that mantra so much.

FuzzyOwl · 25/07/2017 23:38

Great news Miami.

Hope you get to speak to your midwife tomorrow mogulfield.

Anyone else suffering with insomnia? It is not helping my anxiety in the slightest but at the same time, I seem to recall suffering badly with DD1 and DD2 whereas I didn't really with my last miscarrige. Dr Google reckons it can be hormone related so I am hoping it means they are going up and not crashing down.

TootsyBella84 · 26/07/2017 08:30

Hello all.
I haven't posted in a while, mainly been on fb as I'm too slow to keep up with the MN threads!

20 weeks today and I have my scan tomorrow. Can't quite believe I've made it this far!
Baby has been giving proper kicks now so I'm feeling less paranoid and might think about announcing soon!

Hope everyone is doing okay and staying positive xx

Brenna24 · 26/07/2017 08:41

Ooh that is exciting JC and Bella. 2 scans tomorrow. Best of luck to both of you. Flowers

I hope that mogul and Pies are both feeling rotten today.

I hope CatLady, Halloumi and Willow are ok today.

mogulfield · 26/07/2017 11:34

Still feeling fairly symptom free, got through to midwife, she said take a pg test and wait to see if symptoms reappear next week! She was lovely but obviously the epu is stretched here.
I've booked a private scan DH is driving me to now, I'm nervous but want to know one way or another.

Miami81 · 26/07/2017 12:16

Hope it goes well mogul.

TootsyBella84 · 26/07/2017 12:31

Good luck with your scan mogul 🤞

whyhastherumgone · 26/07/2017 12:39

Good luck mogul will be thinking of you!

So so sorry to everyone who has had bad news, it's so tough. Life can be really unfair sometimes. Take care of yourselves xx

PleaseStopRaining · 26/07/2017 12:40

Thinking of you mogul.

DancingUnicorn · 26/07/2017 13:08

Hope you get on ok mogul. Totally understandable to see what's going on.

I have my private scan this evening. Feeling quite nervous. Should be around 8+5. Desperately hoping everything looks ok.
