Morning all

Woke up this morning with fresh blood when I wiped. Been to the loo about 10 times now and still bleeding :(

I've had bad back ache for 2 days and period type pains.

Waiting for the midwife to call me back

So upset :(

How far along are you? Bleeding can happen early on so please don't give up hope

Mumtobejan2017 · 16/06/2017 11:31

I am 10 weeks today....

Has the midwife called yet?

hickorydickorynurseryrhyme · 16/06/2017 11:53

Hope you're ok

Mumtobejan2017 · 16/06/2017 12:02

I have spoken to the midwife who has said she will refer me to hospital but as it's the weekend she doubts I will be seen until Monday. I'm now waiting for a call from them.

I feel so upset, I just want to make sure my baby is okay but I don't have a great feeling.

I have had zero symptoms at all throughout the pregnancy so I'm not even sure if they have disappeared etc....

Do you think they will see me if I go to A&E even if the EPU is closed?

OP posts:
twinkle1972 · 16/06/2017 12:41

I know our A&E won't scan at weekends hunni but not sure about other areas. Not sure you would get much joy. Could you not call your epu before they close today?

Mumtobejan2017 · 16/06/2017 12:48

That's what I thought :(

Midwife said EPU will ring me back but it is doubtful they will fit me in until early next week.

twinkle1972 · 16/06/2017 14:33

The only other option would be a private scan if that's affordable and any available near you. I've been in your position and know how awful waiting is.

Holdbacktheriver · 16/06/2017 14:39

Flowers I had the mother of all bleeds at 14 weeks with one of my dc even the hospital thought it was all over but he's just turned 7. I know it's hard but stay positive.

I second giving the epau a ring first and if no joy then a private scan if you are able to afford it. It's no fun sitting going out of your mind with worry for days on end.

In my experience (and in my area) if epau are open a&e send you there if they're closed they'll send you to gynae who may or may not be helpful it's hit and miss.

Mumtobejan2017 · 16/06/2017 17:38

I was seen by EPU this afternoon. Although by the time they got round to see me there was no one there to scan me.
They took my bloods and said they were 3000. 'Hit or miss, can't tell you whether it's in the uterus or out' was his words.
So now I have to go back Monday!
Anyone know if 3000 is okay?

OP posts:
sebashocked · 16/06/2017 17:41

So sorry. 3000 is extremely low for 10 weeks. Any chance your dates are a long way out?

Mumtobejan2017 · 16/06/2017 17:47

That's what I thought but why did he not say they were low instead of saying they are hit Or miss?
No, I know that's the definite date....

OP posts:
Thingymaboob · 16/06/2017 18:10

It's because they cannot say for sure unless they compare it with another blood test 48 hours apart. Some women are low all the way through but I think they should be at least 25,000 from looking online

tobeornottobe1 · 16/06/2017 18:14

So sorry hun, so upsetting. Do you think he meant that his not sure if baby is still attached to uterus or on its way down and out? Without sounding horrid, please get prepared as I miscArried at 13 weeks and there was a lot of blood. Please make sure someone stays with you and you stay close to home in case anything happens. I wish you all the best sweetie Flowers

Defuzzing · 16/06/2017 18:22

Flowers Thinking of you. It is heartbreaking. I have been there myself. I hope you have a positive outcome.

Mumtobejan2017 · 16/06/2017 18:43

Thanks all

I'm not really sure what he meant. He just said its hit or miss if it will be in the uterus or not. We won't know till we scan you.

OP posts:
Defuzzing · 16/06/2017 19:13

I think he means about the location of the baby. It could be in the uterus or in the fallopian tube (which would mean it is an epthopic pregnancy). Did he say to go straight to A&E if you experience pains. They can only see location when they scan. Flowers

Mumtobejan2017 · 16/06/2017 19:38

:( thanks.

Yes he did although he said there is no one to scan at weekends anyway, so Monday is the best bet.

I guess it's sit and wait. I'm still bleeding but now it's brown and stringy every time I wipe.

OP posts:
chelle85 · 16/06/2017 19:47

I don't know about the blood test results as no one ever took my blood so I son't know what the numbers should be but I had a big bleed at 11+4 and I'm now 31+2 so there is hope

Have you had any cramping at all? I had no pain with my bleed.

Mumtobejan2017 · 16/06/2017 19:56

Glad yours was all good

Sorry to everyone else for their losses

I have had period pain all day and back ache for 2 days now.

OP posts:
twinkle1972 · 16/06/2017 21:15

Sorry to hear this. Not sure what else to say but I'm thinking of you x

Mumtobejan2017 · 17/06/2017 22:06

Well ladies with no spotting most of the day I thought good news was on the way...

I'm now bleeding lots of fresh red bright blood. It's all over :(

I'm absolutely devastated.

MummyM33 · 17/06/2017 22:33

@Mumtobejan2017 I'm so sorry to read what you're going through. I hope your scan tomorrow shows good news. Just keep some hope until then. I had awful bright red heavy bleeding and clots for over a week at about week 7 and so far baby is still doing well. Just wanted to give you some hope it's not always bad news x

dippypanda · 18/06/2017 08:23

Oh I'm so sorry, please take care of yourself.
I've been there, having had 4 mmc's but I've had successful outcomes too. I bled at 10 weeks with this one. I really hope there is a positive outcome for you but like another pp, its best to prepare for the worst. Flowers
