Something light hearted for a bit of fun!!!

Obviously everyone is looking forward to meeting their new baby etc.

But what else are you really looking forward to????

I'm looking forward to sleeping on my front and eating a delicious rare fillet steak. Nom!!

Nice - why can't you eat all the Easter eggs now?

I've slept on my left side from the day I got my BFP and my baby is breech. Little tyke!

MamaTT · 19/04/2017 07:47

I have to admit I've had the odd can of Diet Coke (maybe once a week) and I had a mr whippy icecream last week. I didn't know you weren't supposed to when I had dc1&2 and they've turned out fine. When I was pregnant with DD all I drank was full fat Coke! Makes me feel terribly guilty now and I do wonder how my teeth survived.
I can't wait to go for a run without feeling like my child is falling out of my arsehole. I'm still running ( I'm 27weeks) but I don't think I've got many more runs left in me. I constantly need to pee and it hurts my pelvis.
The thing I'm most excited about is seeing my DCs faces when they see their baby sister for the first time. We've had a really shit couple of years and this feels a little bit like our happy ending. They're both so excited and they're literally counting down the days. I know they'll be the best big brother and sister ever and they'll welcome her into their little gang. Can't wait.

A massive panini with Brie, cranberry sauce and bacon.

Wearing something that isn't leggings.

Being able to have toddler DS on my lap again, there just isn't room!

ItsNiceItsDifferentItsUnusual · 19/04/2017 10:07

Ineed I'm trying really hard to eat healthily and also I get paranoid about the caffeine in chocolate Blush. Crazy I know Blush

INeedNewShoes · 19/04/2017 10:12

If you're worried about the caffeine in chocolate then my baby is doomed Blush. I've been making sure I have my NHS allowance for caffeine each day (either one proper filter coffee or two teas). I've really struggled with extreme tiredness this pregnancy and I think without caffeine I would have spent the past eight months snoozing Grin

Kudos to you for eating healthily. I've been pretty good, but mostly because I've been concentrating on getting good nutritious stuff in which hasn't left so much room for sweet stuff. I'm measuring small though so perhaps I should have had more cakes and chocolate!

KittyWindbag · 19/04/2017 10:15

I've been eating pate, cured meats and smoked salmon and drinking Diet Coke Shock oops!

I'm looking forward to drinking some icy cold white wine and not needing a wee every five minutes.

willothewisp17 · 19/04/2017 10:23

baileys
toast and pate!
wearing something other than leggings every day...

QuizTeamaAguilera · 19/04/2017 10:24

I was the same worrying about the caffeine in chocolate initially, I've relaxed on that but still avoiding tea and coffee.

Although M&S Cafe decaf flat white is fabulous, I can't tell it's decaf, although no decaf tea ever tastes nice to me.

Lemondrop09 · 19/04/2017 10:29

Not being sick and constantly nauseous

Being able to poop again!

Relief from heartburn

Generally not being pregnant. Can't say I've enjoyed it much so far

Not going to work! Dammit I hate my job right now and I truely would rather be constantly sleep deprived than putting up with their shit.

Can't say I'm missing much food or alcohol wise yet, but I suppose constant nausea helps with that!

Coloured · 19/04/2017 12:05

6 days overdue today, but absolutely cannot wait to:
—be able to roll over in bed without having to sit up first
—kneel down without feeling like a crippled old lady
—drink some strongbow dark fruits instead of sniffing it like a crazed lunatic
—energy drinks!!
—not sitting on a gym ball all day 😴
—not wearing the same three tops, getting back into my skinny jeans and being able to fasten my dressing gown normally!
—people not constantly fussing over me (particularly MIL)

As you can tell, I'm very fed up and want this baby outSmile

FamilySpartan · 19/04/2017 12:15

God, how could I forget to mention saying goodbye to the most sulphurous, rancid, eye-watering farts I've been blessed with.

Crapuccino · 19/04/2017 13:15

Sleeping.

HAHAHAhahahaaaasob.

amymel2016 · 19/04/2017 16:18

Mainly food! Pate on a crusty baguette with chutney, rare steak, Parma ham which hasn't been frozen, a cold glass of prosecco, brie on a crusty baguette, a gin and tonic........

Also to be able to bend over properly and sleep on my back Grin

AHedgehogCanNeverBeBuggered · 19/04/2017 16:27

All The Wine! Delicious cold, crisp white.

Not having backache and feeling sick.

Pate on toast.

Being allowed to do proper high-intensity exercise.

krakentoast · 19/04/2017 16:40

Hmm, not quite enough people in this thread have mentioned the wine Wine Wink

But seriously the wine is going to be epic.

DirtyBlonde · 19/04/2017 16:50

Wine can be a bit of an issue if you are BFing. More something to delay until you've both got the hang of it and you supply is established. You don't want to be trying to attach a terrifying infant mouth to a novice nipple when you're squiffy.

A celebratory glass of champers doesn't count, of course.

Bokky · 19/04/2017 16:53

My first meal after giving birth was a prawn cocktail, rare steak and cheesecake, hand made and delivered by my DM. Was, quite frankly, the best meal I've ever had!

krakentoast · 19/04/2017 17:24

DirtyBlonde I take your point but I don't think anyone is planning an all-night binge session the second the placenta hits the floor - just being able to enjoy a glass more than once in a blue moon without feeling guilt and judgement would be nice!

Tamtum · 19/04/2017 18:00

Having a good poo!

mummabubs · 19/04/2017 18:16

@NiceCuppaTeaAndASitDown Seriously?!?!?! I am UK based and I've been avoiding one of my favourite foods for 16 weeks and I didn't need to?! Thank you, this has made my day! (It was my midwife who told me not to during my booking appointment but if I'm honest whilst she was very friendly she was a locum filling in for the day and actually didn't seem to be able to answer my questions so I trust you more!)

@CatRash I didn't even think about the burping sans follow through, so true!! Grin

NiceCuppaTeaAndASitDown · 19/04/2017 18:26

Yep! I saw your post and panic googled it, according to the NHS website it's absolutely fine.

Hope you can get hold of some soon!

GastonsWife · 19/04/2017 19:01

Shave my bush! It's wild down there!
Have a sense of humour again and not want to cry at the drop of a hat!
Being able to get physically close to OH again!

StrawbRhi · 19/04/2017 19:05

Currently 33weeks with a much longed for baby and absolutely not wishing the time away and enjoying every minute.

But the things I would do for...
A glass of rich red wine
A walk that lasts more than 5 paces without crying in pain
A good shag
The ability to return to SW and see lbs fall off rather than steadily increase...

...would make Mr. Gray himself blush.

ArcticMumkey · 19/04/2017 19:14

Red wine, the bluest stinkiest cheese, my bras fitting....oh and having a waist!

Mabel83 · 19/04/2017 19:26

Hmmm looking forward to pate, a nice juicy rare steak, cider, wine. Being able to move properly. Not being told I'm getting fat already (I'm 16 weeks). Drinking coffee without feeling guilty. Why are people saying coke isn't allowed? Is it because of the sugar, caffeine, unhealthiness? I've been drinking it daily it's my alcohol substitute 😳
