I'm doing weekly bump pictures izzy! I'm 19+2 and bump has suddenly appeared quite drastically 😂

Victoriaaaaaaaa · 18/05/2017 11:08

When did you all start getting your bumps? :)

ew1990 · 18/05/2017 11:15

People have started to notice my little one now and I'm nearly 15 weeks xx

KrsJd · 18/05/2017 11:22

I was already overweight so it did take a little longer. Someone assured me they could tell at 7 weeks though so I was not happy about that Angry my body hasn't changed in the slightest and my weight gain has been minimal til recently. I showed a small bump at about 18 weeks but I always wear loose tops or dresses. Then at 19 weeks I "popped" and there was no denying it. Someone I haven't seen for 6 months asked me if I had a bump yet which made me chuckle because there's absolutely no denying it now Grin

88claire · 18/05/2017 12:35

I'm 17 weeks and mine is starting to round out. Was just a massive amount of bloat until the last few days! 😂

Victoriaaaaaaaa · 18/05/2017 13:20

i've got a long way to go but i really want the bump!!

Victoriaaaaaaaa · 18/05/2017 14:17

weird question has anyone else felt like moving or twinges in belly in very early pregnancy?

Hoping it's just gas!

ew1990 · 18/05/2017 14:57

I've just been out with MIL for dinner and one of the waitresses said she wants to ask if I'm pregnant but doesn't wanna offend! I was chuffed that you can proper tell now lol xxx

lydiangel83 · 18/05/2017 15:33

I did a pilates class (first I have done in months) and woman kept shouting 'this is for the pregnant lady' when she showed some of the moves. Was quite funny! Said she could tell I was pregnant when I told her at the start :)

Monkeypuzzle32 · 18/05/2017 15:57

Hi everyone, hope all's going well-today I am 8w6, I have a clinic (where I had my treatment) scan on 24th May so I am looking forward to that but still nervous in case there's nothing there or something!

I have booked myself in with an NHS midwife and have an appointment on 12th June-I will be 12w3 then-is that the right sort of date? What do they do apart from scan you?

TheLionQueen1 · 18/05/2017 16:43

Hi Monkey, I would expect you to have your booking in appointment with a midwife slightly earlier than 12 weeks as at 12 weeks you should be getting your first scan at the hospital? It's not the MW's that do the scans in their appoint, my first appointment was almost 2 hours long and went through everything from what to expect to where to give birth and taking bloods.

Every NHS trust is different though!

Monkeypuzzle32 · 18/05/2017 16:57

LionQueen the letter says to allow a couple of hours then says a scan will be arranged between 11w3 and 14w1 which I thought was odd seeing as I'll be 12w3 by my 1st appointment-they don't know about the private clinic scan-unless they will do both at the same time?
I find it all really odd that no one tells you what to do or expect, if it wasn't for the internet I'd know nothing !

TheLionQueen1 · 18/05/2017 17:14

I know it's ridiculous! The NHS website does give a brief outline but it's so different in different areas! They saw me for my first app at 9 weeks as wouldn't see you before that unless previous issues, but other ladies on here have been seen from 6 weeks! The MW explained the process moving forward really well to me at the first appointment though but is difficult knowing what to do before that!

Monkeypuzzle32 · 18/05/2017 17:26

I didn't ring them until last week to be fair because its been such a journey to get here, I didn't want to think too far ahead and get excited-however, given my age I'm surprised they haven't seen me sooner as I'm considered a geriatric Mother to be! Grin

Tillums · 18/05/2017 17:46

Thanks Misty I remember you very well. We miscarried at almost the same time.
I think I have caught again straight away but it's so difficult to tell and impossible to date without a period in between. Hence my early scan tomorrow. I'm so lucky EPU agreed to see me.
I'm feeling very tired, very bloated and very sick which I guess is a good sign.
I can't wait for tomorrow!
Xxx

MistyBxx · 18/05/2017 18:15

Literally so happy for you tillums and hoping I won't be far behind. EPU told me I will be on file for early/extra scans when my time comes, so that's reassuring. I have had my first af in between so just hoping everything either settles back into a regular cycle for me OR I just catch before my next one... obviously hoping for the latter but not obsessing 😐 much lol. Wishing you a smooth and exciting journey chicky, and looking forward to hearing about your scan etc!!xxx

mrsjkerry · 18/05/2017 20:47

@Victoriaaaaaaaa yes I feel twinges all the time. I assume its the thing implanting and attaching and then growing. Looking forward to actually feeling it move/kick in a few weeks.

@MistyBxx hi!! Have missed you. How're you doing??

lydiangel83 · 18/05/2017 21:17

Does anyone else feel hesitant about telling people they don't really like eg at work?

I had work drinks and this really annoying girl was sat wearing her baby on board badge on her blouse, on a bar stool in the middle of the bar because 'she was too tired to stand'.

I sound mean but she has given me a really hard time in the past and often overreacts/ has a temper tantrum at work.

I just didn't want to tell anyone at drinks that I was also pregnant (actually, more pregnant!). Am I a bar person?!

lydiangel83 · 18/05/2017 21:17

*bad person, even!

ew1990 · 18/05/2017 21:25

@lydiangel83 I know what you mean! Don't feel mean lol xxx

lydiangel83 · 18/05/2017 21:30

I just really respect women who have their baby, treat them absolutely as #1 priority, but still somehow manage to have a life!

MistyBxx · 18/05/2017 22:20

mrsjkerry I'm honestly good at the mo, thank you. So much better and really ready to be pg again now haha. I've missed this board, all weird twinges, symptoms and crazy excuses not to drink lol 😂 looking back, I'm gutted I missed a damn good wedding party drinking squash 😂🙈 hope you're feeling good chicky 🙌🏼 xx

KrsJd · 19/05/2017 05:50

Okay woke up again in the middle of the night with cramp in my right calf Sad same leg, same time of night what am I doing wrong?? Muscle still feels a bit tender this morning as well, hope this isn't actually going to become a daily occurrence!

lydiangel83 · 19/05/2017 07:12

Welcome back @MistyBxx nice to see you :-) xx

Victoriaaaaaaaa · 19/05/2017 08:23

@KrsJd oh no! I don't think you're doing anything wrong! Maybe it's just stretching in your abdomen and it's twinging down into your thigh?
