Oh sorry Monkey, didn't mean to upset...
the couple of days before I had mine I was searching the internet and couldn't find any good explanation of what happened really. Hopes it helps Sleep make a decision...

Monkeypuzzle32 · 25/08/2017 13:46

no dont be sorry, Im just so sad for you and for Sleep but I absolutely agree its better to hear it off someone who has been through it rather than not really knowing

Esined1976 · 28/08/2017 11:37

Hi ladies. Just wanted to introduce myself. I turned 41 in July. I got pregnant in July after 3 months ttc but had a very early mc. I managed to conceive again almost immediately (10 days after the bleeding stopped) and I'm now about 4w 2d. I have a ten year old daughter already.
Last week, I was sure I was having another very early miscarriage, as I had about 36 hours of pains and cramps, mainly in my legs, and a very pale brown tinge when wiping. I was convinced I was about to start bleeding at any second like last month. However, the cramps mostly stopped, as did the brown tinge, and my digital pregnancy test changed from 1-2 weeks to 2-3 weeks two days ago, so it looks like things may be progressing ok ...at least for now. I still have random twinges and occasional shooting sensations in my pelvic region and back, and achey calves. Every morning I'm terrified to go the toilet! Having mcs is awful at any age, but at our age you also have the worry about losing valuable time, which makes it even more difficult. Anyone else have lots of twinges, shooting pains and leg cramps in early pregnancy? I don't remember this with my daughter. Also, at what stage did your morning sickness kick in? Thanks.

Monkeypuzzle32 · 28/08/2017 15:04

Hi Esined congrats! I've had none of those symptoms but I think you should maybe go to your gp or local maternity unit and see what they say-I don't know TBH if you're way too early for an early scan but I'd ask anyway for peace of mind

weasledee · 28/08/2017 16:00

Welcome and congrats Esined! I know what you mean about not wanting to go the toilet, I rememeber that well. And you're so right about the added pressure of time when you have a miscarriage. I had a later miscarriage (14 weeks) just over a month ago and was eagerly awaiting AF which has finally arrived....
Congrats again :)

SleepFreeZone · 28/08/2017 17:36

Hi Esined. Hope everything goes well for you 👍

Cineraria · 28/08/2017 18:35

Congratulations Esined! Our local hospital has an Early Pregnancy Unit who were very helpful when I had some bleeding in my pregnancy with my son. Do you have anything like that near you?

My morning sickness along with painful indigestion hit at exactly four weeks after ovulation in every pregnancy but that is just me, everyone is different and lots of people have some variation between pregnancies too. I don't have any other symptoms from your list though

Esined1976 · 28/08/2017 20:24

Hi ladies. Thanks for the replies.Cineraria, I went through the EPU las month with the early miscarriage as I was bleeding heavily. This time, I'm not bleeding..well not yet anyway other than the slight brown tinge to my cm for a day last week. It's just the leg aches and random twinges and shooting that's worrying me, but there's no point in going to an EPU be honest as it's too early for scan and they couldn't do anything anyway. I am actually feeling very queasy this evening for the first time , but I sat beside someone at a family even on Saturday night whose daughter was st home vomiting. He then had to leave early as he started feeling very rough. I'm really hoping this is the onset of morning sickness and he hasn't given me norovirus!

PingusMistress · 29/08/2017 07:48

Hi @Esined1976 , welcome and I hope you haven't come down with the lurgy overnight! I had similar brown discharge and cramps on the day that AF was due and totally convinced myself that it was a chemical pregnancy. Now I'm 31 weeks Smile

It feels a bit weird saying it but congrats on getting AF @weasledee .

So who on the thread is due next? I'm sure there were a few ladies ahead of me.

weasledee · 29/08/2017 14:47

Ha thanks pingus, gonna blow the dust of the ovulation strips and start poas again :)

minkfondant · 30/08/2017 18:46

Welcome esined and welcome back to ttc weasle.

Unfortunately I really am out this time. Today I found out that my baby hadn't developed since the 6wk scan and there was no heartbeat. Should've been 10wks. After a week of red spotting, it wasn't a surprise. I'm booked in for surgery tomorrow.

Not sure we'll ttc again. We have two lovely dc and I feel like we're pushing our luck now. If I don't see you all on here in future, lots of luck and positivity and bouncing babies for everyone. :)

weasledee · 30/08/2017 22:29

Oh no Mink, I'm so sorry to hear that :( look after yourself and hopefully in time you may feel strong enough to try again.
Thinking of you Flowers

Swuth · 31/08/2017 22:59

Hi all... I'm new here & wanted to know if anyone has an experience similar to mine. Here goes...I'm 42 years old and I've had 2 ectopic pregnancies requiring surgery (2013 & 2014). I had one and 1/2 tube removed. I am currently 17 days late & I've had 3 negative HPTs & 1 negative urine test at my GYN yesterday. My symptoms-nausea w/some vomiting, some fatigue, needle like pains in my boobs, jelly like CM, cramping, pelvic floor pain.
Dr. took blood yesterday to do a fertility panel but didn't say anything about a pregnancy test w/the blood. She said she would give me a call when she got the results of the test(s), but no call as yet. Anyone experience anything similar?

PingusMistress · 31/08/2017 23:31

Hi @Swuth , I don't have a similar experience but have you tried the over 40s thread on the conception board, you might have more luck there?

@minkfondant I'm so sorry to hear your sad news, you have really been through the wringer over the last few weeks. Wishing you luck and happiness with whatever path you choose to take in the future Flowers

Swuth · 31/08/2017 23:40

Thanks @PingusMistress

Monkeypuzzle32 · 03/09/2017 14:59

Mink I was hoping no news was good news-sorry to hear that, take a breather and dont feel under any pressure to do whats right for you both

Ekphrasis · 07/09/2017 15:48

Hi ladies!

Cautiously joining thread (again!)

Very early days but I feel things seem to be so far positive.

Lovely to see some familiar names still here. I'll try to catch up on the thread :)

Ekphrasis · 07/09/2017 15:51

I'm 40, 1ds, we had a mc in April, a couple of cps since, hence being very cautious. Hypothyroid, so that'll be a fun ride!

Feel waves of sickness though some days and a few food aversions. Cramps were unnerving but I think I had them before.

BagelDog · 08/09/2017 11:45

Joining you I think - finally conceived number 4 after nine months ttc- not long really I know but feels an eternity as other five pregnancies were all in month one or two. Have an early scan in two weeks due to previous ectopic and have my fingers crossed there is only one in there! 40 now, will be 41 when this one arrives in May.

AnnaMadden · 08/09/2017 12:11

Hi everyone, I hope it's ok if I join this post. I'm not 40 yet but will ne in November and from my dates I'm due in April 😊

Ekphrasis · 08/09/2017 17:41

Oh lovely some new people to symptom spot and stress with share dates with!

Ekphrasis · 08/09/2017 17:49

@Esined1976 I am around 4+3 and certainly had lots of cramps earlier in the week, pressure that felt like my mc. However, it's now stopped and so I'm panicking.

Actually I've googled fluctuating symptoms in early preg quite a bit today as I don't feel quite as sick or quite as sore as a few days ago. But lines are darker today so a little reassured.

Ameliablue · 08/09/2017 18:38

Just wanted to say hi as I've just found this thread. I discovered about a week after my 40 the that I was pregnant. I've got 2 dds already who be 10 and 12 when this one arrives in February. I've been suffering with hyperemesis and have just started back to work after having the summer off.

Oldschool41 · 09/09/2017 11:36

I am 41 and due December the 12th but have opted for a c section so should give birth the week before due date 😀

seizethecuttlefish · 09/09/2017 13:25

Fingers and toes crossed as I join this thread. I'm 41 and 5w3d pregnant. Not feeling great today, as I really need to stop POAS and worrying about the shade of pink. Confused
