Hello hello! @PingusMistress I'm not far behind you at 23+2. Glad all is well and good retail therapy. We don't need anything as just got to dust all the boy clothes off. Hope Paris and the flight goes well, mercifully short spell in the air. I flew back from Vancouver after a wedding at roughly 24 weeks with my first little boy and was coming down with a uti so not fun.
@weasledee glad you're ok and good luck with the scan and harmony test next week. Sure all will be well. My sickness has come back again so I feel your pain. More night nausea though. Hope you are vomit free v soon!

My boy is very active and kicking away as I speak. He's already got a good dusting of hair as can be seen on his scan like his big sister. We've got a 3D one booked for two weeks time and v excited.

PingusMistress · 15/07/2017 21:52

Wishing you lots of luck with your scan and Harmony test next week @weasledee. Sorry to hear you are still suffering with the sickness though, that is rotten.

@Ginlinessisnexttogodliness my little boy is very active too, much more than DD was. I wonder if boys are more wriggly? Very cool that you can see his hair on the scan. I read that heartburn means you are having a hairy baby, so I must be having a gorilla 🦍 Grin That flight from Vancouver sounds like a nightmare, don't think I can complain about my short hop to Paris in comparison!

minkfondant · 15/07/2017 22:15

Hello - can I join? I'm almost 43 and got my bfp a few days ago. I may have done 5 tests so far Blush

I have 2 DCs aged 6 and 3, and had two MCs inbetween. Currently swinging between joy at the possibility of a third DC, and terror at all the risk factors of being a preggers old gimmer. Had a bit of pinky-brown spotting at first but nothing right now. Just exhausted and stretchy-tender feelings in my lower abdomen.

Can't relax into it and hope for the best yet, as it's so early. My second MC was after a good 8wk scan with heartbeat, so I don't even think an early scan will reassure me, but even that's a long way off yet. Calendar says I'm officially only 4wks today. Guess I'll see GP next week. If it sticks that long. gulp

Wishing everyone happy healthy pregnancies. Grin Cake Brew

weasledee · 16/07/2017 07:49

Hi Mink!!
I'm 41 and also pregnant with no. 3. Mine DC are 7 and 4 so similar to yours :)
I had a miscarriage before this pregnancy, early pregnancy is so stressful!!
I'm 12 weeks today and have my scan on Tuesday! Confused
Welcome to the group :)

minkfondant · 16/07/2017 09:26

Thanks weasle and I'm so sorry for your loss. Flowers Hope your scan puts your mind at rest this time.

Stupidly I POAS yet again this morning with FMU (no. 6, ahem) and the line is lighter than yesterday. That can't be good, can it? I did drink water in the night, but not litres of it. Hmm. Confused

weasledee · 16/07/2017 10:11

That was me early on Mink! Took a while to stop poas but yes I had ones that appeared lighter than the day before. It's not an exact science as people will tell you but it does panic you a bit. Mine definitely didn't follow a pattern of darker everyday....

PingusMistress · 16/07/2017 23:26

Welcome @minkfondant and congratulations on your BFP! I think I did 11 tests so you can do a few more yet Smile The darkness of the lines was very variable so try not to stress too much, easier said than done I know.

minkfondant · 17/07/2017 09:52

Thanks weasle and pingus . Had a darker line this morning (yep, still poas Blush ) so trying to relax for now.

Hope your sickness is calming down now weasle. Pingus I had a very hairy boy last time, and he brought me fiery indigestion from hell for about 7 months, so I really feel for you. :)

weasledee · 18/07/2017 19:11

Not my happiest post to date but I had my scan today and I'm out my mind. The nuchal fold result was 6mm and I'm being referred to the consultant tomorrow..... :(
Has anyone had a similar experience?

Monkeypuzzle32 · 18/07/2017 19:29

weasledee that's worrying, at least they are referring you quickly-can you write down any questions you may have so you remember to ask? I dont really know how 6mm is on the scale but I hope its all ok-speak to the consultant tomorrow and then decide where to go from there. Is your DP going with you?

weasledee · 18/07/2017 19:35

Since coming home I've googled (naturallyConfused) and thinking about it now the sonographer told us little else. No information about the condition of the baby generally and ironically no due date on dating scan?!?
Yes husband has told work he won't be in tomorrow, I'm off anyway with HG. Just so stressed really...
but good idea about writing things down....

Monkeypuzzle32 · 18/07/2017 20:05

all mine said (at 12 weeks 3)was the baby looks healthy-I think they are deliberately vague, I had the blood test for nuchal and they contacted me by letter with the results. They couldn't quite agree on my exact due date either! Out by 2 days as its a ED.
Have you and your husband talked about options? I would try and think one step at a time until you know exactly what the score is with the consultant.
I hope the result turns out positive-it was my biggest worry-sorry if that sounds flippant but I dont want to reply with a wishy washy post.

minkfondant · 18/07/2017 20:49

Sorry you're worrying weasle. Hope the consultant appointment gives you and dh all the information you need.

I'm off this thread as soon as I arrived, as I'm cramping and bleeding. Wishing the very best for you all and your gorgeous babies.

Ginlinessisnexttogodliness · 18/07/2017 22:10

@weasledee I'm really sorry to read about what an upsetting and worrying day you've had.

Try not to google as it does no good, and you'll cause yourself even more stress.
I really hope tomorrow's appointment brings more answers and options. Are you still having the harmony test or do you think they will encourage you to have a cvs or amino?

Thinking of you sending hugs and good luck vibes x

Ginlinessisnexttogodliness · 18/07/2017 22:11

@minkfondant sorry that your stay on here was so fleeting. I do hope the cramps and bleeding aren't too painful, and that you're getting some tlc.
💐💐💐

weasledee · 19/07/2017 07:35

So sorry Mink, hope you're ok and if you do decide you're back in the group soon Flowers
Gin, I'm just so confused and not slept a wink. I'm not sure I'd be happy with the 99% with the harmony anymore now we have reason to believe there could be a problem.... I think i need some diagnostic now Sad

Ginlinessisnexttogodliness · 19/07/2017 08:04

@weasledee I can totally understand that. I would be thinking exactly the same.
Nobody would blame you for not sleeping a wink, either.

See what the consultant says today, do you know if you will have another scan this time more detailed?
There is always a chance that it is not a one of the trisomies and the fluid will resolve itself. It does happen. I know that won't be what you're thinking now but wanted to try and reassure you in the midst of all this.

Best of luck for today's, appointment, please do let us know how things go.

As I say, am thinking of you x

Monkeypuzzle32 · 19/07/2017 18:48

Mink sorry! sorry this is happening-Ive been there, please look after yourself x

Weasledee how did it go? was thinking of you

weasledee · 19/07/2017 20:21

They phoned today and I've got an appointment on Friday...
will update then what they say, feel like I'm in a terrible dream :(

PingusMistress · 19/07/2017 20:25

Sorry to hear that you are leaving us @minkfondant , really hope you will be back soon.

Sorry that you are having such a stressful time too @weasledee . Have you had the blood test results back too or is it just the scan? Let us know how it went with the consultant today, we will support you whatever the outcome Flowers

I'm feeling really crappy today. Had my work trip to Paris yesterday, so got up at 3.30am, 37 degree heat, and didn't get home until 10.30pm. And then woke up this morning with a stinking cold but had to still do a full day at work without my usual medication to make it bearable. I'm off to bed now!

PingusMistress · 19/07/2017 20:27

Sorry mink, cross post! Your head must be all over the place. Hope Friday gives you some answers.

Ginlinessisnexttogodliness · 19/07/2017 21:20

@weasledee I hope your appointment is early on Friday and you don't have two more days of drawn out stress and wondering, it must be awful, I'm so sorry you're going through this.
Sure you're getting lots of love and being looked after by your family. Try to get some rest and eat and all that stuff you don't feel capable of doing.

Take care of yourself. You're in my thoughts. Like @PingusMistress says, we are all here for you. These boards can be a lifeline when you feel like you can't talk about it with those you love the most.

Will keep checking in for an update or just to offer a virtual shoulder

💐🤞🏻💐

Ginlinessisnexttogodliness · 19/07/2017 21:26

@PingusMistress sorry to hear you're feeling off colour. I too have a stinking cold the lingering remnants of a chest infection. It's been awful.
Anything is hard going in this heat, well done for what you reckon is hopefully your last bit of travel before baby is here.
I feel a bit panic stricken by how quickly this pregnancy is going. I find out in four weeks time when they will induce me if he doesn't arrive of his own accord before what they say will be induction at thirty eight or nine weeks.
I have a scan at twenty five and twenty eights respectively to chart growth and that will be the deciding factor.
My two children are being so naughty and taking up every second of my time right now that I have no time to focus on this pregnancy. Then he kicks me and I remember.

My heartburn is so awful now. Just like before. The meds only do so much. My teeth are going to be ruined from all the boiled sweets I have to suck all night and all the ice lollies.

And the tiredness. I want to sleep forever!

PingusMistress · 20/07/2017 06:23

@Ginlinessisnexttogodliness thanks for the sympathy! There seem to be lots of colds and bugs going around at the moment, I don't know why, usually it doesn't get like this until the kids go back to school in September!

Of course I went to bed early and now I've been awake since 4.30am. Grr.

I know what you mean about it going quickly. I'm nearly 26 weeks now. How did that happen? My growth scans don't start until 28 weeks. I'm really not keen on being induced but nobody has mentioned it to me yet.

Your heartburn sounds just awful. Is it worth going to the doctors to see if they can switch or increase your medication? Hopefully baby will shift around a bit and it will ease off for you.

Monkeypuzzle32 · 20/07/2017 06:33

Weasledee the waiting s awful-nothing is set in stone yet-if you are at work can you take time off, or will that make the waiting worse?

Pingusmistress you definitely need some downtime!
