Alb - congratulations!!! So happy for you that she's out now and can get the care she needs and like others have said that's a great weight!!

Amy - Happy Birthday for yesterday

Pixie - I hope the bleeding isn't MC for you Flowers

Say - You're right about the heartbeat sound, amazing isn't it! Made me cry when I heard it at 16 and 24 weeks!

To all those with tilted uterus's - don't let it panic you. My sis has a heart shaped womb which she was told at an early scan would cause her problems and she was put down as high risk (and obviously extremely worried and anxious) but she is now 39+3 and it's been relatively smooth sailing (minor bleed at 21 weeks but all fine)

I had my 28 week growth scan on Monday - had the usual scanxiety beforehand but all was fine and he's growing nicely - moving around a lot!!

TheLegendOfBeans · 05/04/2017 13:22

Well knorrig and say this must be the thread for crying re hearing hb's; we had our 12w scan and all's well.

I was crying before I went in
And during
And after

Now I've had a bowl of noodles and feel much calmer.

Had my bloods done as well for Downs etc and the Reflex DNA test so results due in a fortnight but for now I'm happy. And needing to relax.

knorrig · 05/04/2017 13:41

Aah, I'm glad to hear that Beans

I got so worried before the 20 week scan, I burst into tears in the middle of the coffee shop at the hospital (that we were sat in as we were there so early!!) Luckily my OH was very calm and reassuring!

NoCatsHere · 05/04/2017 14:14

beans so glad it all went well, that's wonderful.

Pixie I'm sorry to hear your news. I'm glad you feel like you want to try again. See you on here soon.

say your post made me smile a lot. That heartbeat sound truest is a lovely thing.

korrig thank you for the tilted uterus info!!

GingerHanna · 05/04/2017 14:16

Beans Great news! So happy for you. Now we can get focused on your move over here to the land of tulips!

PTphonehome · 05/04/2017 14:23

I also have a retroverted uterus, it wasn't mentioned in my last successful pregnancy (9years ago) but has been discussed in various fertility scans. I was told it would make any difference and would straighten up as the baby grows.

TheLegendOfBeans · 05/04/2017 15:12

@GingerHanna too right, think my 20w scan will be taking place the day before we move 😳

Hazandduck · 05/04/2017 16:06

I'm in the retoverted uterus club too! I'm wondering if that's why I've had such a painful back each time I've been pregnant, maybe baby is on my back?? I really don't want an internal scan. I had to have a few after my miscarriages and I was so sore down there I was crying in agony and it just has horrible memories for me. Do you think I'll have to have one if I book an early scan?

JulyLady7 · 05/04/2017 16:08

Hi Hazandduck,

I had internal scans until 8 weeks and yesterday at 9 weeks they did an abdominal scan and that's what I'll be having onwards. I think some places differ though and do internals until 10 weeks or do abdominal from 8. x

littlepooch · 05/04/2017 16:20

Glad everything was OK legend.

I missed the tilted uterus chat but I funnily enough have one too. It didn't cause me any issues when I was pregnant with DD. In fact I'm sure they told me it would tilt back at some point during the pregnancy. DH was fascinated I remember and called it my spinny around uterus haha. This time round I've had internal scans until around 9 weeks then after that normal abdominal ones if I remember correctly.

Hazandduck · 05/04/2017 16:42

Ah thank you july and legend I should be 9 weeks on Saturday so hopefully if we book a scan for next week I won't need an internal! I'm putting off booking it now and haven't told my GP or arranged a booking in with midwife yet, it feels like I'll jinx it if I do x

Hazandduck · 05/04/2017 16:42

Ps seems the old wobbly uterus is more common than you think! Lol x

Cookiemonster19 · 05/04/2017 18:59

Hey ladies
Fell of the thread for abit, felt so anxious and worried all the time but feel better now.
So sorry to those that have had losses, my heart is with you 🌸
Congratulations alb hope your baby is doing well x
Congratulations to everyone else who's new & had BFP's and also those who have had positive scans!
Currently 12+3, have a scan on Tuesday. Hoping everything is well, saw a heartbeat at 9+4 so trying not too worry too much.
My fatigue has finally calmed down! It's a lot less, makes life so much easier! But I'm finding it hard to eat anything anyone else have this problem?
My est dd is Oct 16th, anyone else the same?
Hope everyone else is doing well
X

TheLegendOfBeans · 05/04/2017 19:24

My EDD is now the 18 October but we are telling everyone it's 1 November.

From week 39 with DD, well meaning folk were hammering my phone EVERY DAY with "Baby here yet?"

I went to 42w. I'm sure you can imagine my nerves were somewhat shredded after 21 days of the same texts.

So 1 November is two weeks after my EDD so that should hopefully mean I swerve the daily texts from well wishers this time even though nobody gives a toss about the second from what I gather

Cookiemonster19 · 05/04/2017 20:07

Oh beans so we're about the same then! How are you finding your pregnancy? Do you feel like any symptoms have eased off since hitting 12 weeks?

SayItIsntSo1 · 05/04/2017 20:17

Great news in the scan Legend! Really happy for you.

Has anyone seen a consultant at 16 weeks due to their MC/s? I have mine next week. MW said it might be a scan but other than that I have no idea what they'll talk to me about. Any ideas? I also had PPH after my d&c so think that's part of it but it's not like I'm anywhere near close to thinking about the birth/labour Confused

theotherendofthesockportal · 05/04/2017 20:57

Ladies, I'm having a massive panic, my symptoms have gone awol! I'm around 7 weeks, so worried it's all gone wrong.

I've got my booking appointment tomorrow and I'm going to tell the midwife that my anxiety is through the roof.

grainmum · 05/04/2017 21:18

Great scan news legend and delighted you heard a heartbeat say.

I had scan/consultant appointment today so things look OK at the moment, a little small but following its line, and fluid levels are OK which was one of my concerns with ongoing leaking. Back in 2 weeks.

Intrigued about your appointment say, seems strange to be related to mc, what gestation was your previous loss? Maybe like you say it's related to PPH.

SayItIsntSo1 · 05/04/2017 21:28

Grain I was nearly 14wks with my MMC so near the boundary of what they class as a late miscarriage as oppose to 'early' (I think). I'm thinking it won't be much and then they won't want to see me again. I don't really mind just being MW led rather than consultant so will see what they say.

Glad your appointment went ok. Will you continue to have checks every 2 weeks until the end of your pregnancy?

Cookiemonster19 · 05/04/2017 21:52

theotherendofthesock don't worry too much, my symptoms were on and off around 7 weeks, I'd feel completely normal for 3-4 days then they would all reappear and I'd feel completely crap again. Stay positive, the less stress the better for the baby! 🌺

grainmum · 05/04/2017 22:23

say I'm not sure, I think the consultant is making a plan as he goes along. The answer to most questions seems to be "it depends" and "the last time I checked the literature for this particular situation I didn't find much data"! I think we just need to take each day as it comes.

PTphonehome · 05/04/2017 22:55

Scan went well. Measuring spot on at 8+1.
Scan was an external scan (though last one was tv and was absolutely fine) and heartbeat was lovely and clear.
