I hope you're staring to feel better light. Are they able to reassure you on your pregnancy while you're there?

Amy I think it's perfectly understandable you had a wobble yesterday. I passed my date of finding out about the MMC last week and it wasn't easy. Not long until your next scan and more reassurance. I'll be keeping everything crossed for you.

I have my scan at 11.15. Feeling nervous, stomach is in knots but just need to keep breathing and one foot in front of the other.

Sorry to those of you having a rough time. I am starting to accept that this is just going to be tough all the way through and I need to be kind to myself.

SayItIsntSo1 · 27/03/2017 12:02

Feel like I'm hogging the thread! All good at this mornings scan! Measuring well for dates and heartbeat thumping away.

Sonographer asked if we knew the sex and we said we know it's a boy. She said it was fairly obvious Smile

Hope everyone else is having a good start to the week.

Hazandduck · 27/03/2017 13:05

Congratulations on your scan So! Glad everything went well :)
AmyB it is completely understandable. I get so confused about dating pregnancies, but the two miscarriages I had last year were both to the exact day I was either 8 weeks 3 days or 10 weeks 3 days depending on if you do it from conception or last period! The EPU told me it was probably because it is when my period would have kicked in but I can't help but wonder if there is something wrong with me :( Had my thyroid checked and the levels are normal so I don't know.
Really hope you feel a bit more positive once you pass this mile stone and I think having a cry definitely helps! X

GingerHanna · 27/03/2017 13:15

Congrats SayIt Really great news. :)

oliversmummy26 · 27/03/2017 13:22

Congrats Say great news on your scan. We found out yesterday we're having a boy too, now just need to think of a name...I find it far easier to fall in love with girls names than boys!

lightgreenglass · 27/03/2017 14:32

Great news on your scan say

I had a scan this morning and have a little bean beating away at roughly 7 weeks. Going to definitely keep my private scan as all I saw was a blob and a heartbeat. Grin I really thought I had fried it with my temperature so relieved to see it there.

My pelvic pain is coming from a cyst on my right ovary so that puts that to rest and another scan on the kidneys reveals the source of the infection. Going to see the doctor later but feel miles better than yesterday.

SayItIsntSo1 · 27/03/2017 14:47

Thank you for the well wishes.

Olivers we are struggling with names. We have 2 or 3 that are maybes but our previously picked boys name is really popular so that's putting us off. How did you DS react to it being a boy? Our DD is coming round to the idea Smile

That is excellent news Light, really pleased for you! How long until your private scan?

oliversmummy26 · 27/03/2017 15:02

Say the night before he said he wanted a sister and didn't seem convinced when I said but if it's a boy we will still love him! So was worried, but he's excited I think, and happy to have someone to share all his toys with. We're going to go through all his old clothes together which I think he'll like

littlepooch · 27/03/2017 16:02

Lovely news oliver and say!

Glad your scan went well today light.

17+2 here and I thought I may have felt some movement last night. Was probably in my mind but I'm hoping maybe I will start to feel more soon.

Belleende · 27/03/2017 16:06

Fab news light. You must be so relieved. That is some set of diagnoses.

I am so knackered I am hiding in an office until home time. My daughter had a really disturbed night so am running on empty. Have docs appt for first thing Wednesday. Might start to feel a bit more real then.

oliversmummy26 · 27/03/2017 16:38

pooch there's every chance you are feeling movements now. I have been for a week or so. They feel just like wind, but without the windy bit! Blush Scan yesterday showed placenta at the back too, which helps, so you may be the same?

JulyLady7 · 27/03/2017 18:26

So lovely to read about these good scans and gender discoveries.

I know exactly how you feel Amy and Jaffa, I also swing from feeling everything is fine to having a panic! I'm approaching the date of my mmc tomorrow and even with a great scan last week, I'm still so nervous.
I've got my next scan next Tuesday and feel really worried that it'll have all changed, but I've got to try not to panic.
Never mind that I was at the GP this morning trying to get him to test me for listeria. He rightly laughed at me. Blush
I'm trying to focus on the fact that this is a new pregnancy. So hard, but seeing all of you, it's definitely possible.

theotherendofthesockportal · 27/03/2017 18:37

I wonder if any of you lovely ladies know the answer to this...

I know the date I ovulated / conceived. Do I still add 2 weeks on to the pregnancy?

If I go by my last missed period the assumed conception date on all the apps are wrong.

My last period was 14th Feb (how romantic) and I ovulated on 21st and also DTD on this day

INeedNewShoes · 27/03/2017 18:40

The doctor will go by the first day of your last period.

There are lots of online calculators for this, but here's the MN one Smile

NoCatsHere · 27/03/2017 20:28

Congrats on scans everyone's. And light good to know you saw something and heartbeat at 7 weeks. I have an early scan booked tomorrow and think I'll be exactly 7 weeks. I'm really scared something will be wrong or it'll be too early and they can't see enough. Missing a a period though they are happy to have me in to check it's not something from the old pregnancy.
Anyway will know tomorrow morning. Fingers crossed all is well.

SayItIsntSo1 · 27/03/2017 21:24

Good luck for tomorrow cats. I'll be thinking of you and keeping everything crossed.

Great news about the movement starting Little. I have another anterior placenta (did with dd too) so I won't be feeling anything for a while Hmm

grainmum · 27/03/2017 22:22

Lovely scan news say little and olivers, and anyone else I have missed.

pooch really exciting to feel movements. I'm desperate to get to that stage. 16+2 here. My leaking fluid finally seems to have dried up. Writing that will probably jinx me
like looking at maternity clothes yesterday online did. Wishing I hadn't told the consultant last week that I could wait til next week for a scan, hoping I can resist going to look for a doppler tomorrow at work. Hopefully work will divert my thoughts.

Hope you are feeling better and get home soon light.

princessconsuelobananahammock · 27/03/2017 22:23

It's great to read lots of positive news on here - those of us in the v early days need it! Can totally relate to all of the worries & wanting to be tested for everything!! I'm on prednisolone this time for raised NK cells & progesterone. Is anyone else on a treatment plan of some sort? I think the pred is sending me a bit loopy - v giddy in the day time & no sleep at night!

knorrig · 28/03/2017 10:20

Morning All,

I can totally relate to all the worries, they don't stop all the way through either (well they haven't for me) I'm now 27+3 and have a 28 week growth scan booked for next week and am now starting to worry about that that there will be a limb missing or something - even though I've clearly seen all limbs on previous scans!!

Sending reassuring thoughts to all those in the early stages - I actually feel lucky I had the awful sickness to take my mind off it a bit - I remember being surprised there was no blood every time I went to the loo (I still even check now) but then there's lots who have had it and have been fine anyway. Just so tough when you don't know what your body is going to do!!

I had a panic on holiday last week that I hadn't felt much movement one day and then he started kicking me with force so I could even see my stomach moving when I was lying down - almost like he was reassuring his crazy mummy!

Jpeg Becs Newshoes how are you all - very close for you now!! Hope all is well and you're not too uncomfortable!

littlepooch · 28/03/2017 10:59

Good luck today cats.

grain glad to hear the fluid has stopped leaking. I hear you re jinxing things - whenever my minds wanders to what we might need or whether we will need a double buggy I panic that I've jinxed things.

knorrig I found it so weird with DD when I could see my tummy moving around! So surreal.

That first trimester is a killer. At 17+3 I'm still worrying but nothing equates to those early weeks when you are just stuck in limbo. I think we can all relate to that worry and anxiety. Flowers

oliversmummy26 · 28/03/2017 11:22

It's so strange seeing all you ladies right at the beginning, I still think I'm right at the beginning but am 16+2 today so will be half way soon.

It's a horrible time, and you just have to keep yourself busy and get through it thinking every day that "today I am pregnant". I still can't quite believe that there is a real actual live baby inside me and that in 24 weeks I will be allowed to take it home and will have two children to look after - how our lives will change!

The last 4 weeks since the 12 week scan have flown by and I definitely feel better, there are times when I have a wobble, but generally I am feeling lots more positive.

I genuinely think that getting past the point of previous MC(s) and the 12 week scan is a huge milestone. Now I'm feeling movements it's even easier to reassure yourself too.

GingerHanna · 28/03/2017 11:38

This time tomorrow I'll be getting ready to head out for my first scan (6+6). Was feeling relaxed until today when all the anxiety flared again. I have been quite fortunate to have been feeling good about it all for a few days since the point of my mc last time.

'Morning' sickness and food aversions are here with gusto, all day! Yesterday wasn't too bad having been awful the day before. Today more foods have been taken off the menu, including anything hot and smelly and courgette!

Really looking forward to tomorrow, and scared witless in equal measure.

lightgreenglass · 28/03/2017 12:00

My next scan is next week today.

Still stuck in hospital where my parents live and my boys have gone home with DH. It's rubbish. I'm so bored now.

It's lovely to hear people who are further on and how the fear abates a bit.

I've only been on this thread a short while but it's done wonders for me. Thank you all.

theotherendofthesockportal · 28/03/2017 12:32

Today I feel like death, nausea has stepped up a gear. I've gone home from work early, I haven't slept properly for 2 nights now.

I'm only 6 weeks, hope this isn't a sign of things to come. I've only been in my job 2 months, and don't want to make a bad impression.

JulyLady7 · 28/03/2017 12:34

I can't wait to get to where you are Olivers, I really love reading about how you've all got on ok.
Got my next scan next week Tuesday as well lightgreen, hope time passes quickly for you in hospital.
Feeling nervous as I'm approaching time of mmc and I'm really worried scan won't be good. Doesn't help that nausea comes and goes. Sigh.
Just got to keep repeating the mantra and stay busy. Can't change anything.
