Apologies in advance, this is a proper moan-fest! :)

I'm 38+4. First baby. Fed up.
Since the start of this week, I've been struggling big time with being so heavily pregnant. I'm trying hard not to rant to people IRL so I've started a thread in case there are others in a similar situation. Poor OH has had an earful lately and he's walking on eggshells. I'm so done with this pregnancy malarkey and just want to meet my baby now!

My vents are:
I'm constantly exhausted
I'm perpetually uncomfortable
Lightening crotch Hmm
Can't go far as driving is becoming difficult
I feel like my pelvis is about to collapse
The pressure is causing pins and needles at the top of my legs
I'm fed up of constantly going back and forth to pee
I haven't slept properly for months
During the night, I often wake up needing to change position because my hips hurt
Because the baby has basically run out of room and stretches out, it feels like my stomach is about the rip open
From above, parts of my belly (especially the left side) feel very tender, almost like its bruised
Normal daily activities like cooking and cleaning absolutely drain me
I'm sick of wearing the same pair of leggings and 3 tops in rotation because they're all that fit
I want to eat goat's cheese with a glass of wine

The last is silly but oh well. It doesn't help matters when I had a minor false alarm on Wednesday and got my hopes up but it was nothing. At my last appt 2 weeks ago (36+5) the baby was 2-3/5ths engaged and I've dropped loads so thought something might have happened by now. But nope, still here feeling like an overstuffed tired hippo :)

Anyone else in the later stages of pregnancy and fed up? Please come join me and vent Cake

Good luck pickling, I hope you are feeling better soon.

You're a day ahead of me mini. I'm thinking it won't be such a bad thing if I have to wait till Saturday now mainly because my kid is sick and want to be organised with childcare.. but terrified it's gonna hurt more!? Where you induced last time?

MiniAlphaBravo · 15/02/2017 18:54

Hi buckyou that's hard that your kid is sick, hope they are better soon. Yeah I'm scared of induction as well. Wasn't induced last time. Apparently induction can work quickly and be ok and I'm hoping that cos it's 2nd time round that will be the case but also heard some horror stories Sad

buckyou · 15/02/2017 19:18

I guess you hear horror stories with all kinds of labour really. I just hope I don't end up in hospital for days! x

buckyou · 16/02/2017 15:42

I had my baby! Super quick, woke up at 5 with not too bad but regular contractions and he was here by 9! 9lb 8oz, he's a whopper!

Letsgetreadytorumbleagain · 16/02/2017 16:05

Blimey Buck that was quick! Big congratulations x

GTS · 16/02/2017 16:20

Congrats buckyou! Hoping for a nice quick delivery like yours for all of us! 39+5 here, mild tummy cramps this morning which have sadly disappeared now. Sigh.

Daisypullsitoff · 16/02/2017 16:20

Wow Buck congratulations on your new baby! That sounds like an amazingly efficient labour - was your first quick as well? Hope everyone else is getting on ok.

Picklingaround79 · 16/02/2017 17:00

Congratulations Buck that's fantastic news!! So glad it was a quick labour for you, hope you're able to get a little rest here and there now xx

MiniAlphaBravo · 16/02/2017 17:40

Oh wow that's amazing buck congratulations, I hope I can copy you!! Fab news.

Meanwhile I am 11 days overdue. Having some mild cramps after yet another long walk but nothing exciting! Hope everyone else is doing ok.

buckyou · 16/02/2017 17:43

It's funny because I woke up at exactly the same time with contractions with my DD just a day later. She didn't arrive until 2.30 though.

This labour was sooooo much better!! Last time I felt I was begging for pain relief and for them to come and check I was OK but I think with me being a bit faster this time the MW was more available from the start and I didn't get stressed/panicked. I also got a pool this time which was lovely.

Only took 3 pushes and he was out! My DD was only 7lb4 vs 9lb8 but it was a much more difficult labour. Just goes to show its not always the size!

SofsMum17 · 16/02/2017 18:01

Great news buck! Hoping for similar for all of us still waiting! Been sleeping horrendously the last several nights, insomnia and restless toddler, and last niggling bits of work to finish have been playing on my mind... nearly there though, if I can clear my list this week I'll be off til the end (I'm already officially on sick leave but it's my own company so I've been having to keep in touch with the office to oversee bits and bobs... hopefully once I've done proper handover I will relax and baby will come!!)

buckyou · 16/02/2017 18:28

Thanks everyone! And good luck to you all.

It's such a long slog but not long to go!!x

Monstamio · 16/02/2017 19:37

Congratulations buck! Lovely news and great to hear such a positive birth story

user1468957349 · 17/02/2017 11:42

Well it doesn't look like this one is making an appearance of her own accord so being induced tomorrow at 41+12 - bye bye water birth 😔

user1468957349 · 17/02/2017 11:43

Congratulations buck Flowers

Daisypullsitoff · 17/02/2017 16:24

That's a shame user - is pool ruled out with all induction? I know here you can still use water if you respond to pessary and/or ARM but not of course if you progress to the drip.

Due date looming tomorrow for me (same day as you GTS?) and all niggles have disappeared so not hopeful. Starting to think we jumped the gun inflating the birth pool as it is now taunting me from the corner of the living room!

user1468957349 · 17/02/2017 16:34

Unfortunately not daisy - regardless of how they induce they want continuous monitoring and so no pool :(
Oh well, I'm at the point I just want her out now by whatever means necessary haha 😂

MiniAlphaBravo · 17/02/2017 17:47

Know how you're feeling user, I'm 40+12 today and have been able to push induction back to 40+14 but definitely heading that way I think. Had a 3rd sweep today and nothing had changed with the cervix in over a week Sad this baby wants to stay put i think! Had the odd cramp since the sweep and been active doing walking and housework most of the day. Don't think anything is getting this one out except induction! Hope yours goes well.

Daisypullsitoff · 17/02/2017 19:04

True - I said similar to a friend today that if I got to two weeks over then sod the home birth, let's just get her out Grin. Will keep fingers crossed that babies get the message and make an appearance but if not hope inductions go as smoothly as possible for you both.

user1468957349 · 17/02/2017 19:10

Thanks both! 12 hours and counting until I go in!

Letsgetreadytorumbleagain · 18/02/2017 08:27

Good luck user Flowers

GTS · 18/02/2017 08:44

Hi Daisy! Yes, due date today..no niggles, nada. Sigh. Going to have a walk around later and do some more housework in the hopes it get things moving.
Sending positive vibes to everyone here!

MiniAlphaBravo · 18/02/2017 13:02

Hi all I had my baby this morning at home. A day before I was going to be induced. Was a back to back labour sadly but managed to push her out eventually! Hard slog! She's perfect though. Good luck to everyone.

Daisypullsitoff · 18/02/2017 20:52

Congratulations Mini, lovely news! Sorry to hear it was tough going but good that you avoided induction. Due date rapidly passing here with lots of Braxton Hicks but not a lot else. Ah well, was a week over with DS so shouldn't be surprised but seemed a lot easier when it was just me enjoying mat leave - lots of naps and the odd NCT coffee morning!

user1468957349 · 19/02/2017 01:48

So induction yesterday. Pessary went in at 11.30 am, first contraction 5pm, waters broke 9pm and baby born 11.23pm 😊
Good luck to everyone still waiting but not long to go now!!
