Apologies in advance, this is a proper moan-fest! :)

I'm 38+4. First baby. Fed up.
Since the start of this week, I've been struggling big time with being so heavily pregnant. I'm trying hard not to rant to people IRL so I've started a thread in case there are others in a similar situation. Poor OH has had an earful lately and he's walking on eggshells. I'm so done with this pregnancy malarkey and just want to meet my baby now!

My vents are:
I'm constantly exhausted
I'm perpetually uncomfortable
Lightening crotch Hmm
Can't go far as driving is becoming difficult
I feel like my pelvis is about to collapse
The pressure is causing pins and needles at the top of my legs
I'm fed up of constantly going back and forth to pee
I haven't slept properly for months
During the night, I often wake up needing to change position because my hips hurt
Because the baby has basically run out of room and stretches out, it feels like my stomach is about the rip open
From above, parts of my belly (especially the left side) feel very tender, almost like its bruised
Normal daily activities like cooking and cleaning absolutely drain me
I'm sick of wearing the same pair of leggings and 3 tops in rotation because they're all that fit
I want to eat goat's cheese with a glass of wine

The last is silly but oh well. It doesn't help matters when I had a minor false alarm on Wednesday and got my hopes up but it was nothing. At my last appt 2 weeks ago (36+5) the baby was 2-3/5ths engaged and I've dropped loads so thought something might have happened by now. But nope, still here feeling like an overstuffed tired hippo :)

Anyone else in the later stages of pregnancy and fed up? Please come join me and vent Cake

Hope you get some baby action soon ladies. I'm having a growth scan today (38 weeks) to check my water hasn't increased anymore, it was 26cm a few weeks ago... I've been waiting for a gush constantly!

achangewilldomegood · 14/02/2017 13:32

Well I'm still pregnant 😕 I am having tightenings today but they aren't particularly painful.

SofsMum17 · 14/02/2017 14:59

Same here, achange... just loads of fanny daggers (whoever came up with that expression just hit the nail on the head!!!)

Pandabear123 · 14/02/2017 15:30

Hi all!! 40+4 here... also thoroughly fed up. Have also tried ALL the home remedies to hurry her up... nothing yet! Booked in for a C Section on 22nd if she doesn't get here so pressure is on. Have had so many false alarms - that is what has depressed me most (that and the continuous SPD/ sciatic pain/ thigh cramps in the night). Feel like she could be here to ight/ tomorrow but worried it is just more false hope...

MiniAlphaBravo · 14/02/2017 16:03

Still pregnant at 41+2 and no signs whatsoever recently!!! Getting very frustrating. Like panda I've tried everything to get this baby moving (except sex, really can't face that! Maybe I should try to tho!!). It really feels like it's never coming by itself! Hope others have more luck soon

user1468957349 · 14/02/2017 16:30

MiniAlpha the sex doesn't work either!

buckyou · 14/02/2017 17:27

To be fair sex worked for me last time. But not sure if it's worth it!

OuchBollocks · 14/02/2017 17:57

DH refused to have sex with me last time on the grounds that I was too angry looking Grin he had a point

SpookyPotato · 14/02/2017 18:27

If there's an ikea near you I would reccommend a long walk around that, that's what got me going last time Grin Plus an excuse for some meatballs!

Monstamio · 14/02/2017 19:07

I thought you were going to say something about having sex in IKEA then spooky! Shock

Hope things get moving for everyone soon!

SpookyPotato · 14/02/2017 19:40

Hehe well that would doubley improve chances!

Daisypullsitoff · 14/02/2017 19:59

Can I join? 39+3 and getting very impatient. Hoping for home birth and pool is all set up but the only action it has seen so far is DH and DS playing boats in it at the weekend Hmm. Also getting fed up of parents checking if anything is happening and offering to come and "help out"...I know they mean well but both sets live 2+ hrs away and I just know things will kick off with them here and then they will want to stay. Last thing I want whilst in labour is knowing that my DFIL is in the house...

MiniAlphaBravo · 14/02/2017 20:13

Haha well my dh isn't keen on sex at the moment either and 'it might make me go in to labour' isn't a great turn on.... don't really live nr IKEA, been walking loads and loads and literally nothing has happened! Last time contractions started after a long ish walk but not doing it this time around.

Pandabear123 · 14/02/2017 20:28

Been having cramps all day and mild contractions on/ off all evening. Just had a bloody show so hoping tonight might be the night! Things have tailed off a bit in last hour though... Grr! !

buckyou · 14/02/2017 21:03

I've just had a show too panda! Not bloody though.. not sure if that makes a difference. I'm hoping for tonight too. Wouldn't it be good if we both posted in the morning saying we'd had some babies!

user1468957349 · 14/02/2017 21:15

Good luck ladies! Had my show in bits over the last week since my sweep - but I think my madam is just stubborn and has her arms spread out refusing to budge 😂

user1468957349 · 14/02/2017 21:17

I've been on my feet all day today so hoping gravity is going to be my friend. Done some squats tonight (good god they were hard work) and might get the breast pump out before bed for some nipple stimulation. If these don't do anything I'm bang out of ideas and giving up!

Daisypullsitoff · 15/02/2017 08:42

Squats Shock - that's commitment! Crawled around soft play yesterday and even tried sex last night - after which DH said "you must be desperate to get this baby out". But nothing...just feel knackered now and agreed to iPad in bed for DS already today. Hope others are having more luck...

Letsgetreadytorumbleagain · 15/02/2017 10:30

38+2 - still having very irregular tightenings and lots of backache but that's it. Got a sweep on Monday, so I should get an idea of what is and isn't happening down there. When I get to 40 weeks, I have to have the discussion about induction or elcs - as I had an Emcs with my son, so part of me just wants my body to make the choice not my head (or heart!)

buckyou · 15/02/2017 10:43

What do you think you will chose if it comes down to it letsgetready?

No luck here for me! Had an awful night with my toddler and trip to the doctors this morning. She's sick all the bloody time, it does my nut!

Letsgetreadytorumbleagain · 15/02/2017 11:10

I'm leaning towards an ELCS at the moment - really not keen on an induction, had syntocin with my first labour and it was horrible and I still got no where!

Hope your little girl gets well soon X

Picklingaround79 · 15/02/2017 12:24

38 + 3 and now bed bound with norovirus Sad
Have sunk to a whole new low. Amazingly still managing to get the painful BH contractions through all the vomiting... so no trade off there.

Hoping this keeps baby away until my ELCS date next week rather than has opposite effect!

buckyou · 15/02/2017 13:02

OMG pickling that sounds awful! You poor thing. I've been having fears of norovirus + labour at the same time. I'm sure that wouldn't happen but can you imagine!?

Picklingaround79 · 15/02/2017 13:57

I know tell me about it? Just how could you cope?
Really praying now that my DH doesn't come down with it too otherwise I could be going into hospital on my own...

MiniAlphaBravo · 15/02/2017 14:17

Oh dear not doing too well on this thread. I'm now 40+10 and I'm pretty sure baby not going to come until either sweep or induction, so that's Friday at the earliest. So glad I'm not sick tho, sounds awful.

Done loads of walking etc this morning but nothing. I've been doing squats and stuff as well but hasn't helped so far! Toddler driving me mad refusing to sleep and being naughty and funny in the process, she's a little monkey.
