Apologies in advance, this is a proper moan-fest! :)

I'm 38+4. First baby. Fed up.
Since the start of this week, I've been struggling big time with being so heavily pregnant. I'm trying hard not to rant to people IRL so I've started a thread in case there are others in a similar situation. Poor OH has had an earful lately and he's walking on eggshells. I'm so done with this pregnancy malarkey and just want to meet my baby now!

My vents are:
I'm constantly exhausted
I'm perpetually uncomfortable
Lightening crotch Hmm
Can't go far as driving is becoming difficult
I feel like my pelvis is about to collapse
The pressure is causing pins and needles at the top of my legs
I'm fed up of constantly going back and forth to pee
I haven't slept properly for months
During the night, I often wake up needing to change position because my hips hurt
Because the baby has basically run out of room and stretches out, it feels like my stomach is about the rip open
From above, parts of my belly (especially the left side) feel very tender, almost like its bruised
Normal daily activities like cooking and cleaning absolutely drain me
I'm sick of wearing the same pair of leggings and 3 tops in rotation because they're all that fit
I want to eat goat's cheese with a glass of wine

The last is silly but oh well. It doesn't help matters when I had a minor false alarm on Wednesday and got my hopes up but it was nothing. At my last appt 2 weeks ago (36+5) the baby was 2-3/5ths engaged and I've dropped loads so thought something might have happened by now. But nope, still here feeling like an overstuffed tired hippo :)

Anyone else in the later stages of pregnancy and fed up? Please come join me and vent Cake

37 +5 feel same as everyone. Glad it iznt just me being whingy and pathetic. Feel as though pelvis is going to split when try and turn in bed its more like doing a 7 point turn!! Bad acid indegestion . Food tastes rubbish. Going to bed at 3am though exhausted as cant sleep. Cant walk more than 10 minutes too much pressure / discomfort . Really unlikely am going to start nesting (aka cleanin) as too tired and struggle getting up off the floor. And to top it all no braxton hicks again, have never had them which prob means its another back to back labour ( have had two before😣) and i soo bored !!!! And now have to try and entertain kids in half term

buckyou · 13/02/2017 10:05

Had my sweep this morning. Booked for induction on Saturday. She said baby was back to back though so that's a bit of a shitter. My BP has dropped to 80/40 so no wonder I'm feeling a bit rubbish.

achangewilldomegood · 13/02/2017 10:56

41+1 Feel totally like a crazy demented woman today. In agony.

buckyou · 13/02/2017 11:37

Oh no achange.Sad where are you in pain?

SofsMum17 · 13/02/2017 12:02

Birds/ user/ achange - insomnia sympathies, seeing the times of your posts this am!! PILs were here for dinner last night and toddler daughter decided she wanted to go home with them so amazingly managed to get back to sleep after every pee last night... the usual thing is she comes in to us around 4-5am, jiffles for just long enough that I'm totally awake and then starts sleeping beautifully calmly, usually coinciding with a magical break in the snoring from DH!! I feel doubly frustrated when I can't get back to sleep under these "perfect" conditions...

Oh and re those experiencing bitch-from-hell syndrome... ME TOO... wth is that about?! Sudden rages for no good reason, feel so sorry for DH/DD/the cat/ the in-laws' dog etc, all of whom bearing the brunt of very snappy mummy... :(

SofsMum17 · 13/02/2017 12:07

Floozie not expecting nesting here either (are they crazy?? I can barely get out of bed/off sofa)

Buckyou sympathies, low blood pressure the norm for me and suspect I've been getting even lower "lows" at points during these last weeks, sudden complete lack of energy/wanting to just go to sleep RIGHT NOW type feelings... sucks!

achange - hope you get some relief; Braztons or general gripes (aka the untold effing agony of late stage pregnancy)?

Hugs to you all... whether a few weeks or a few days it feels like an eternity to wait still doesn't it?!

SofsMum17 · 13/02/2017 12:08

*Braxtons, obvs.

OuchBollocks · 13/02/2017 12:13

36+6 here, with a broken leg in plaster and a 2.7 year old DD who is watching waaaaaaaaay too much YouTube. It is impossible to get comfortable, I keep having diahorrea and am losing my plug bit by bit and am having sore but not painful BH, but this baby is meant to come by CS at 39+2 plus I'm not ready to have a baby yet!!

buckyou · 13/02/2017 12:16

I've been a bitch from hell for months tbh!! We've got a 1yo pup and he is fairly annoying but he gets yelled at more than he deserves.Sad

I think I must be lucky, I've been sleeping OK generally. My DD was teething last night though so came in with us and insisted on sleeping in my arm pit all night.

achangewilldomegood · 13/02/2017 12:29

It's PGP (SPD) and sciatica causing me so much discomfort. I feel like I have been kicked in the vagina and the pain from the sciatica radiates down my leg into my very feet 😤
I also have this pain under my shoulder blade that hurts when I lie down. Basically I'm fooked! I can't walk without holding on to something. So looking after the kids is very very challenging. Been calling on favours from neighbours and friends and I'm very independent and I hate asking!
I have HG too and the nausea has returned. Oh and lightening crotch!!! Arghhhhhh it's so so painful. Feels like the baby has a fork in there and is stabbing my cervix.

SofsMum17 · 13/02/2017 12:50

Argh achange it's all so cruel isn't it?! HG as WELL... ugh... I don't know how I'd survive. Had horrific nausea first 4+ months (with no vomiting, don't know if that was a blessing as I hate puking, or a curse as I had literally no relief) - if it came back now I'd be crying... Hear you on the kicked crotch/stabbing in vagina, that's about where I am with pgp/spd too. FWIW if you're able to get to a good osteopath (get recommendations from fellow mums) that really helped me in 2nd tri with sciatica. Not come back since, although I also have to be verrry strict about not picking up DD / anything at all really which is a total pain.

LOL buck at sleeping in the armpit!!! #beenthere

SpookyPotato · 13/02/2017 14:17

Reassured to hear of other posters existing kids being "neglected" too, I feel so guilty for not taking 2.10yr old DS anywhere but I can barely move.. It's literally just Aldi and my mums once a week at the moment.. Thank god the christmas toys are still fun and entertaining, and yes thank christ for the ipad Wink

Katiepotato · 13/02/2017 14:48

I honestly don't know how all you PPs with DC can do this. I can barely look after myself let alone a small child. Unless you've trained your DC so well that they run around after you making you drinks and snacks? I could do with someone to do that when DH is at work.

carrotcakecupcake · 13/02/2017 14:53

I could hardly get my socks on this morning and nearly had to rope DH in to put them on for me. I also wanted to stab DH this morning when he commented on how he'd had the "best nights sleep in weeks" (after whinging yesterday morning about how I had woken him up every hour on the hour during the night). And YY to whoever said rolling over in bed is like doing a 7enty million point turn. My main moan of the day though is the heating in the office. Apparently everyone is freezing while I am trying to hide the sweat patches under my arms and my dripping top lip.

OuchBollocks · 13/02/2017 14:58

Haha carrotcake I managed to score a side room when I was in hospital a few weeks ago, I had the window wide open even though it was around freezing outside and every time anyone came in they said "oh my goodness it's freezing in here". It was lovely! The two nights I was on a main ward I nearly died from heat exhaustion.

Monstamio · 13/02/2017 15:14

38 weeks today and my two year old is also watching waaaay more TV than usual. I just wish I could sleep. I'm bloody knackered. I ended up coming downstairs and having crumpets at 4am this morning as I couldn't bear lying there like a grumpy upturned turtle any longer.

Managed to get my daughter out with her balance bike this morning so you can imagine how unimpressed I was when halfway back she decided not to ride any further so I had to lumber down the road with a bike in one hand and a whingy toddler in the other. Angry

I'm attempting a vbac otherwise would have been booked for a section next Monday. Already starting to regret that decision! Not really, well maybe a bit!

SpookyPotato · 13/02/2017 15:16

katiepotato From one potato to another, I have no idea either.... ConfusedGrin DS is extra clingy at the moment too so is stuck to my back like a limpet in bed, turning around is errr... interesting 😂

ouchbollocks Everyone thinks I'm mad with the cold too. It was really frosty and in the minuses a few weeks ago, everyone wrapped up in warm clothes and I went out in a thin cardigan declaring it "the perfect temperature" Grin

OuchBollocks · 13/02/2017 15:18

The only good thing I can see about handing parental responsibility over to YouTube is that at least DD won't feel she's being neglected because of the baby, she'll be well used to it :(

DontWannaBeObamasElf · 13/02/2017 15:21

37 weeks tomorrow. Felt fine until last week. Fanny daggers galore. And yesterday the exhaustion hit me like a tonne of bricks. I'm still tired today after having a long uninterrupted sleep (until I had to pee at 6am) and a couple of naps. My fingers hurt and I have the runs.

carrotcakecupcake · 13/02/2017 15:29

Ouch that sounds like bliss, even looking at my colleagues in their jumpers (I'm in a t-shirt and contemplating a sleeveless vest top for tomorrow) is making me feel warm.

And yes to far too much TV - just when I though insomnia couldn't get much worse, try lying awake at 4am with the bloody Paw Patrol theme running around your head!

OuchBollocks · 13/02/2017 15:50

I feel that pain, it's 3am and the Mother Goose Club for me. I fucking hate the Mother Goose Club and I hate 3am. I can normally get to sleep ok initially because I'm so bloody exhausted but come 3am that's it. Wide awake, exacerbated by it taking forever to hop to the toilet one legged then having to lie flat on my back leg elevated in bed.

I have downloaded a natal hypnotherapy thing that helps me relax and does encourage sleep about 50% of the time.

buckyou · 14/02/2017 11:18

How is everyone doing today? Doesn't look like my sweep has worked - surprise surprise. Feeling OK today, could hardly walk last night though.. pelvis feeling very loose! I need to walk the dogs this afternoon so it better hold out for that!

user1468957349 · 14/02/2017 11:28

Started having contractions at about 4 yesterday afternoon. Roughly every 20 mins for 3 hours, used tense machine - all good. Then it all stopped 😡 so back at square one 😫

lotusisaddictive · 14/02/2017 11:37

It's my due date and absolutely nothing is happening. I've got a midwife appointment tomorrow so hopefully something happens then Angry

buckyou · 14/02/2017 12:15

It's annoying when something happens to get your hopes up and then turns out to be nothing! I keep hoping I will wake with contractions but doesn't seem to be happening for me.
