What are you doing with yourself? 40+1, two sweeps down, lost plug, 2-3 cm dilated but nothing happening. Mother thinks I shouldn't be driving but I live rurally and have hyperactive toddler ds so can't be confined to the house, it's harder work!

Good luck scary
Still nothing here. 3 more messages from people I know today (note "people I know" vs "friends")
Just in bed wide awake wondering why he cant just come already and put me out of my misery

Grumpus21 · 10/02/2017 07:41

I've been messaged several times already this week and my due date is today... SIL being particularly irritating!!

PotteringAlong · 10/02/2017 09:39

I'm sitting in the car park of the hospital - 12 days over today; they want me in at 10 to induce me but we're a bit early!

Grumpus21 · 10/02/2017 09:47

Good luck!

Sparrowlegs248 · 10/02/2017 10:15

Was told to phone in at 8, did so. They will call me back at 10. It's 10.15, I'm.going to phone again. Ds has been up half the night and in need of sleep but can't put him down for a nap til I know wtf is happening.

Bluebellevergreen · 10/02/2017 10:24

pottering best of luck!!!

grumpus some of them are people that have had babies. I dont get it! I dont remember messaging people when it was their turn.
Pretty mad at the moment and running out of nice replies.

nottalotta did you ring?

I am WELL fed up of waiting. I have hated pregnancy for too long and I am honestly losing my mind over it. I think I am going to just pack the cot and all the other stuff I have ready because it has been ready for weeks now.
I cant even look at the stuff

Grumpus21 · 10/02/2017 10:34

I know!! I'm also sick of hearing 'no one ever has the baby on their due date when it's their first' - I'm fully aware that it's unlikely but don't ask when I'm due if you're adamant it's irrelevant anyway!!!

Hope you all have some joy soon - it really is miserable at this point isn't it??

Sparrowlegs248 · 10/02/2017 11:31

I did ring. I'm in!

Bluebellevergreen · 10/02/2017 11:33

Yay! You are in! Good luck!

Yes, it is pretty miserable. DH has been great, bless him

Grumpus21 · 10/02/2017 11:50

Good luck nottalotta!

Scarydinosaurs · 10/02/2017 12:02

I'm in but waiting for a labour room as I'm too far to have the gel, they want to break waters, but no one is free to break my waters. I've been waiting since 7am 😭

buckyou · 10/02/2017 12:15

Sounds like there might be some babies here soon! We ended up at the walk in centre with my DD until 4am this morning. Chrst infection. So I've only had a few hours sleep.

So I'm not really wanting him to come right now or I'll be exhausted!

Good luck everyone.

Sparrowlegs248 · 10/02/2017 12:45

scary bloody hell, it's shit isn't it? Didn't you go in yesterday? I've been waiting since Monday. Same - no need for gel etc (don't think they give it for vbac but already dilating etc) and need one to one care apparently once waters broken.

OP posts:
Scarydinosaurs · 10/02/2017 13:22

Exactly the same notta they say I need 1-2-1

The girl in the room next door has been in since yesterday morning waiting too. I'm so fed up.

This is so different to my last induction, there just aren't enough midwives. It makes me feel very nervous about the future of the NHS. I'm very glad this is my last baby.

Bluebellevergreen · 10/02/2017 14:21

Thinking of you ladies!
If our babies decided to cooperate we wouldn't need the stupid inductions :-(

Pandabear123 · 10/02/2017 14:26

Ooh so many exciting developments! Hoping there are some babies soon!! Due date for me today - had a sweep & got a Bishop's score of 4 and only 1cm dilated!! So decided to get a sitter and go out for dinner with hubby as she is clearly not coming!! Good luck with all the inductions! X

Sparrowlegs248 · 10/02/2017 15:08

Waters broken, waddling the hospital. Hope things move on scary I left Wednesday evening as had been in since Tuesday morning, and they'd already said they would start overnight.

OP posts:
Sparrowlegs248 · 10/02/2017 15:09

Panda - order something lovely and you're sure to go into labour.

achangewilldomegood · 10/02/2017 15:20

Can I join in? 40+5 this is my third and the most pregnant I have ever been. DS2 was born early 40+5. Had a sweep on Wednesday at 40+3. Apparently baby's head is engaged and fixed in position, I was 1cm but cervix still 2cm long. I had an awful 16 hours of "contractions" after the sweep but then they stopped. Had a
Bloody show after sweep too. Annoyed that I allowed myself to get my hopes up!
I can't be induced as my first was a section.
I feel moody and frustrated. I have almost given up trying the old wives tales as I just can't see it happening. Back in Wednesday for another sweep....joy!

buckyou · 10/02/2017 16:11

I just DTD with DD... see if that works! Totally could not have been arsed had I not thought there was a small chance it may encourage baby!

Scarydinosaurs · 10/02/2017 18:26

Waters broken!!

achangewilldomegood · 10/02/2017 19:30

I think I have done it all now. Walking, sex, pineapple, spicy food, clary sage, yoga ball bouncing. Arghhhhh come on baby!!!

PotteringAlong · 10/02/2017 19:51

Ward busy here - had pessary and a sweep but too busy to break my waters Sad
