What are you doing with yourself? 40+1, two sweeps down, lost plug, 2-3 cm dilated but nothing happening. Mother thinks I shouldn't be driving but I live rurally and have hyperactive toddler ds so can't be confined to the house, it's harder work!

I hope you ladies going in for induction don't have the shit bastarding time I'm.having. Sent home after third sweep Monday, back in yesterday, still here now. No induction started.

scary what does your husband think.you should do? What's the issue with a taxi?

OP posts:
Scarydinosaurs · 08/02/2017 14:45

He thinks I should take a lift with his dad. But I just don't want to! I want to be all zen and in my own motivating little world and just not have to talk to anyone...I know that can be a bit weird or selfish, but this is my second induction and I know what I'm like, and what works for me- so why can't I just choose my own method of transport??

Luckily at my hospital if they start induction you're not allowed off hospital site and if you don't progress within so many hours you're given a c sec. last time I was started about 11 and then in labour by six, and had her at six forty. Hoping for a similar experience!

buckyou · 08/02/2017 15:18

How far on are all you ladies being induced? X

Scarydinosaurs · 08/02/2017 17:01

He arrived home with an apology and a booked taxi. So that's something. I'm still hormone-y grumpy.

I'm being induced at 39+5 as I need to take my medication/be started on a new medication for my gastrointestinal illness. I'm so sick at the moment and pregnancy makes it all 100 times worse. Need to get on some steroids!

PotteringAlong · 08/02/2017 17:47

scary that sounds like a plan - last time I was induced (DS1) was 22 hours and a bit brutal but I went into labour naturally with DS2 the morning I was meant to be induced so I'm hoping there's still time! Also, DS2 was about 11 hours start to finish so I'm hoping for 5.5 this time...Grin

teabagsmummy · 09/02/2017 09:23

Still no baby getting monitored then waters broken hopefully!
Come on baby Grin

Scarydinosaurs · 09/02/2017 10:15

Still no baby here and induction pushed back as no bed. Fuck sake. Calling back at 12.

buckyou · 09/02/2017 10:29

Good luck ladies! Nothing here at 40+3.

Sparrowlegs248 · 09/02/2017 10:47

scary I hope you don't get messed around as I have. 40+7. Supposed to have waters broken Monday, got to phone tomorrow morning. Ffs. 7 hrs waiting Monday, sent home. In at 12.30 Tuesday, left (of my own accord) yesterday afternoon. No space today, phone in tomorrow.

Nothing to report here at 40+5

Bluebellevergreen · 09/02/2017 12:01

No changes here either :-(
So none of us is getting a baby is this correct? Hmm

buckyou · 09/02/2017 12:06

People are so lucky who have timely babies!! x how are you all feeling?

I'm getting a bargain double icandy today from one of those local Facebook pages. Never really been into 2nd hand much but fed up of paying loads for stuff! My DD is not feeling too well. My mum babysat last night while we went to ikea and she went MENTAL when I left. Not sure if she knows something is going on or what? She's a bit young to tell me so I don't know how much she understands.Sad

Scarydinosaurs · 09/02/2017 12:16

Apparently I will definitely be done today, need to call at four. At least I'm not in hospital waiting- must be awful for you, teabag

raviolidreaming · 09/02/2017 12:20

So none of us is getting a baby is this correct?

Correct.

Bluebellevergreen · 09/02/2017 12:23

scary best of luck
ravioli should we start putting the baby stuff in the loft? For when he comes in 5 years time it won't be covered in dust...

I am well fed up.

No waters no contractions nothing.
Lost some plug on Monday but of course that meant nothing.

Baby is not engaged, I can feel he is even less engaged that at my last appointment.

Ahhhhhhhhhh

raviolidreaming · 09/02/2017 12:56

You've lost a bit of plug, Bluebell? I'm so jealous! Admittedly, I was 1/5 engaged at my last midwife appointment two weeks ago..
I don't think I'll need the baby stuff at all. Once he's born, he'll probably be straight off to university.
How far are you now?

Good luck scary

Scarydinosaurs · 09/02/2017 13:07

I must admit this is making me laugh so much!

I am adamant that I am going to have the baby tonight. If at four there is no bed I'm going down and putting the gel in myself. How hard can it be??

Sparrowlegs248 · 09/02/2017 14:01

I hope you get seen scary I am in for monitoring, and can hear the odon in the bed next door say she's been in the assessment unit and told she'd be induced today, but it's been put off til tomorrow. Doesn't fill me with much hope as I've been waiting since Monday.

And, had three sweeps, cervix soft, thinned, 2-3cm dilated last fucking Thursday. Even living plug since last Tuesday. Grr.

OP posts:
Scarydinosaurs · 09/02/2017 14:04

Braxton Hicks still going on all day today. Hoping for a bed at four! Come on labour ward! Send those women home!

mum2be88 · 09/02/2017 15:27

Hoping it's ok if I join in ladies! Due date tomorrow, but have been so convinced she would arrive early that I feel like I'm way overdue! Have had non stop braxton hicks for about 2 weeks now, today included. Truly feels like I should return all the baby things as she will never actually arrive 😂

Hoping to see some baby news from you all soon! 😄

PotteringAlong · 09/02/2017 15:55

No news here. 41+5 today. Sick as a chip and being a fairly crap mum to my 2 children who are currently watching Thomas the tank engine...

Bluebellevergreen · 09/02/2017 16:06

scary I am 40 weeks on Monday. But I have been on maternity leave for 7 weeks = dying of boredom since I am housebound with PGP

The bit of plug was exciting but that was Monday and nothing else has happened since 🙁

Grumpus21 · 09/02/2017 16:14

No baby here Sad

Been told told to go in twice and both times they don't think it's my waters. That being said, they couldn't really say what it was as it was nothing like normal discharge!

On the plus side they said it shouldn't be far off as cervix is opening.

What is life!! Been poked and prodded so much and I always seem to end up with the student midwife so it all takes twice as long!

Scarydinosaurs · 09/02/2017 16:53

On my way in! Boom!
