What are you doing with yourself? 40+1, two sweeps down, lost plug, 2-3 cm dilated but nothing happening. Mother thinks I shouldn't be driving but I live rurally and have hyperactive toddler ds so can't be confined to the house, it's harder work!

Ok so maybe we should just accept that for us pregnancy is not a temporary thing but the way we will carry our children until they are 18. I think this is only fair.

raviolidreaming · 06/02/2017 23:10

40+2 and nothing. Not a hint of a sign. I agree with Bluebell - this is never going to end. I believe the baby has started an application for squatters rights.

buckyou · 07/02/2017 09:25

I'm just planning for it to go right until the end now. Then anything before is a bonus!

Spaghettio · 07/02/2017 09:58

I'm only 38+1 and am fed up already. DS was 9 days overdue 8 years ago so I'm hoping as I'm older it'll all kick off earlier this time. My mum has arrived and won't let me do anything so can't even get down on my hands and knees to clean. Anytime I breath she asks "you alright". Yes! I'm breathing! Grrrrrr

Come on baby!!

Scarydinosaurs · 07/02/2017 10:56

Last night baby decided to play the xylophone on my internal organs. I slept so badly that I can't think straight today. CBeebies is parenting for me at the moment. Though we did have a lovely bath altogether earlier, with the girls rubbing the baby and laughing at him or her poking back.

Scarydinosaurs · 07/02/2017 10:57

Induction booked for Thursday morning- so I really shouldn't complain. I'd much rather it held off until then as it would make child care much easier.

Pandabear123 · 07/02/2017 12:01

Can't believe that SOMEONE on here hasn't gone into labour yet!! Woke up at 5.30am with period cramps again that lasted until about 10am but now nothing. Have been pretending to be a frog squatting up and down the hallway with my 3 year old in some vain effort... Got a sweep booked for Friday but would rather not. Notalotta can't believe you have had 3, what a trooper!

Grumpus21 · 07/02/2017 12:15

Plug went yesterday and a bit more overnight. Got back into bed this morning after going for the millionth wee of the night and felt a slight gush then dampness - checked to find a bit of clear liquid (only word to describe it?) - had a bit more since so they've said to go in to see if it's potentially my waters going.

Had a bit of backache but nothing else - if it is my waters I don't want them to keep me in, as it was at 6 this morning. Normally they'd want to induce after 24 hours, and if it is that early in the day would they want to keep me there ready?!

PotteringAlong · 07/02/2017 12:18

I haven't Sad

Am now 41+3. Had another sweep. Still not a twinge...

teabagsmummy · 07/02/2017 12:25

Well looks like I'll be in hospital getting induced no signs of him making an appearance on his own. I think what makes it was 10 years ago my son was born 3.5 weeks early so was hoping for the same this time Hmm

Sparrowlegs248 · 07/02/2017 13:00

I had some pain after the sweep yesterday but not surprised given the midwife felt like she was up to her elbow. More plug went last night, then best nights sleep in ages! Ds at my mums so lay in today too. Back at hospital now, waiting.........

Pandabear123 · 07/02/2017 14:04

Grumps, that sounds like waters to me! Hope all goes smoothly if so!

Bluebellevergreen · 07/02/2017 15:14

grumpus I think it is 48 h after your waters break???
Maybe you will be the only first one here to actually have a baby out

Sparrowlegs248 · 07/02/2017 15:21

The mw doing my sweep yesterday said you have two membranes (I didn't know this......) I had quite a 'trickle' as she was doing it and she said it would be the first membrane. So maybe that grumpus if not the main event.

Still blummin waiting.

OP posts:
Bluebellevergreen · 07/02/2017 18:22

nottalotta I think I gave around 12 membranes, like an onion, and baby is trapped in them forever

bellaboo88 · 07/02/2017 19:27

Sorry ladies I jumped the queue, went to hospital yesterday for reduced movements. Warned that although only small tight bump, theres a lot of water.

Waters popped 10.30ish, went to hospital at 12.15ish and he was born 2.39am!

Never got the water birth as it came too fast. All my pains were around the front of bump and no positions worked apart from clamping a towel between legs until they practically stole it! They took g&a off me for pushing as his heart rate dropped. Agony but I survived.

Stitches took forever...only a 3oz difference but I only had a tiny tear in pool with ds1...ds2 was so fast and furious I have a designer vagina. But I survived and he's ok! Was out of hospital v.fast, very very different birth experience!

But it was over in 4hr9m rather than 10h30 first time around. Just goes to show you can't control everything but as long as the end result is the same it will all be OK. Stay open minded

(Also if anyone else is suffering braxtons that are intense and stay solid all day long with no let up, try find out why - mine was agony and I blame excess waters)

Sparrowlegs248 · 07/02/2017 20:31

Bloody hell Bella that's not fair!!!!!!!

No in all seriousness, congratulations, and bloody well done!

I'm still waiting. In hospital, having had nothing done!

Bluebellevergreen · 07/02/2017 20:58

Congratulations!! I am lying here thinking bubba is not moving much today so keeping an eye on him

Scarydinosaurs · 07/02/2017 21:00

Well done you, Bella! I hope you have a lovely quiet few weeks with your new son!

Sparrowlegs248 · 07/02/2017 22:28

bluebelle have you tried an ice lolly or a very cold drink? Often gets things moving again.

OP posts:
Bluebellevergreen · 08/02/2017 02:49

nottalotta he moves eventually but I am a worrier and they always talk about a pattern...
Anyhow here I am, another sleepless night courtesy of the baby that wont come out

teabagsmummy · 08/02/2017 10:59

Congrats bella enjoy newborn snuggles. I've been in since 8.15 only 1cm dialated had sweep done and pessary inserted think it's going to be a long day, no twinges what so ever Confused

Scarydinosaurs · 08/02/2017 12:19

teabag at least you're in! One way or another, he or she is coming out!

I go in tomorrow at 9am. Really hoping labour doesn't start before then- I am too tired and hoping for a good night's sleep tonight to prepare for it!

PotteringAlong · 08/02/2017 14:02

I've got to ring at 7.30 on Friday morning to get a time to go in. Lost mucus plug this morning. Did it make any odds? Did it balls. My DS1 is at school and it's DS2's day at nursery so I've been to McDonald's for lunch Blush

Scarydinosaurs · 08/02/2017 14:29

That sounds perfect, Pot what did you have??

I am now v close to leaving my DH for his moodiness about me getting a taxi in for my induction tomorrow. Hmm

Everyone irritates me at the moment. I cannot wait to have the baby and be done with the rubbish jumpy waiting.
