Hi ladies! Starting a new thread for those of us who have spent a while on the infertility board while going trough various treatments and are technically pregnant but too scared to join a pregnancy thread! Smile

Oh Mistletoe, I'm so sorry! Stuff like this makes me so mad, people are so awful sometimes. It definitely sounds like you have a case, so don't take it lying down xx

Lolly2803 · 27/01/2017 09:54

Well done for following up Mistletoe. Don't let it worry you. Sounds like you've got a good case so just stick with it and don't let them upset you or bully you. xxx

Anyone else had or having shooting pains down below. Like on the sides but an inch or two lower than the ovary area. Is that normal do you think? xxx

OP posts:
Bear2014 · 27/01/2017 14:28

Hi Lolly I would guess it's normal, probably stretching pains again but in a different place? Maybe a nerve got in the way?

I'm sure it was second trimester when the 'fanny daggers' started with DD ;o)

Lolly2803 · 27/01/2017 15:27

Yer it's every now and again. Like a shoot of pain but not really bad just like a tug or a pinch. Just in a weird place?!
Haha fanny daggers....not heard of that before! They don't tell you about these things do they! My nausea is still here...

OP posts:
mistletoeprickles · 27/01/2017 15:37

bear I've had fanny daggers already this time round Sad

loly sounds a lot like what I've had these last few days.

So still awaiting a reply to last night's email, I imagine that's because HR will be involved and will be advising them the next step.

I have a busy weekend now so I'm hoping my mind will be kept off all of it.

3 sleeps until scan day! Xx

Bear2014 · 27/01/2017 17:19

Oh man! I clearly forgot about all these things from last time. I've had virtually no sensation this last few days, but trying not to worry.

Yes Mistletoe try not to worry, you've done what you can for now xx

Lolly2803 · 27/01/2017 17:39

Bear I wouldn't worry. I keep asking my SIL if she has all the things I've been getting and she said no not really. And everything has been fine. It's her second so I think that makes a difference. I keep telling myself my body has not done this before and I've got two so there's bound to be cramps!

But again... who knows?! They need to invent something so we can see inside and watch them for reassurance....I'm sure that will be available in the future!!

OP posts:
mistletoeprickles · 27/01/2017 17:51

So the email I got back is complete bullshit. I am very angry. They are essentially backing me into a corner, either work the hours or leave!

Bear2014 · 27/01/2017 17:54

Mistletoe what does it say in your contract re- number of hours? Surely they can't just change your job from a full-time job to a part-time job and make it impossible with childcare? What if you were a single parent?

Are you in a union?
xx

Lolly2803 · 27/01/2017 17:54

Mistletoe I wouldn't engage in conversation about it with them anymore. Share the email with the group you got the advice from and just follow what they say/let them handle it. They are clearly breaking the law. Just don't let them anger or stress you. You don't need it. Don't worry it will get sorted, they can't treat you like that xxx

Mrscrabtree · 27/01/2017 18:08

That's such bullshit mistletoe, agree with what lolly has said. Hope you're ok.

I've been having fanny daggers (!) and all sorts. Today all my stomach muscles and sides feel sore like I've done loads of sit ups (I haven't). Is this fine?! Getting all sorts of weird bubbling feelings as well. It's all strange!

Lolly2803 · 27/01/2017 18:20

See mine is basically on my vagina but at the sides on the flat bit. Sorry hard to explain!! I've been googling of course and it does seem common. I've not experienced stomach aches but I think that's normal too. I think it's just stretching. Well I hope so!!

I'm def booking a scan for 10th Feb! I feel like I'm counting down all the time! I'm 14 weeks tomorrow... eek!

OP posts:
mistletoeprickles · 27/01/2017 21:39

I have always been part time but the hours have always been manageable with childcare. Now they've changed the pattern it's just rubbish.
We have a plan of action as to fighting it so that's helping.
It just plays on my mind.

How is everyone and bumps? mrscrab the muscle thing is normal. It's one of the things I get most.

There's lots they don't tell you lolly like piles and how you can piss yourself sneezing. I look forward to it all Grin
Another scan is always good, I think it helps bonding too. Do you feel like time is going quick?

Mrscrabtree · 29/01/2017 09:51

Morning ladies. So I have just managed to fall down our wooden stairs. I slipped down about 4 steps and landed on my back at the bottom. My back is really sore and my DH is convinced I will have a miscarriage Sad do you think I should try to go and get checked out tomorrow? Or would that be overreacting?

mistletoeprickles · 29/01/2017 10:21

mrscrabb I would go and get checked out. Just to be sure and put your mind at rest. Flowers

Bear2014 · 29/01/2017 11:48

Oh no Mrs Crab! This is exactly what I did a couple of weeks ago. I landed very hard on our floorboards and had a massive purple bruise. My back was also very sore for over a week but baby was absolutely fine. It's hard to believe that it's so well cushioned in there, but the ultrasound technician barely even flinched when I told her what happened so it must be not so bad.

So sorry that happened to you though, and definitely get checked out. xx

Blueroses99 · 29/01/2017 12:28

I did exactly the same too MrsCrab -these things seem to come in 3's! Shock I went to A&E and got a referral to EPU for a scan to make sure everything was ok. It's extremely unlikely to cause miscarriage during early pregnancy especially if you don't hit your abdomen as the baby has a lot of space around them and lots of protection. Still, if you do get checked out, you won't be overreacting. (In later pregnancy definitely get seen straight away as it can send people into labour, not always but it's a risk.) Hope you get your mind put at rest quickly xx

Mrscrabtree · 29/01/2017 14:15

Thank you guys, that's reassuring to hear I'm not the only one. It just seems like we are going from crisis to crisis here! I haven't had any significant bleeding yet (still having a bit of brown which I think is from the SCH healing up) and have had some cramps but they seem to be easing up. I might go to the EPU tomorrow morning just to be safe although I am feeling guilty about how much time I've been missing from work. Sigh! Thanks Flowers x

mistletoeprickles · 29/01/2017 14:42

mrscrabb please don't feel guilty about being off work, in the grand scheme of things it's not important. Yours and your baby's health is xxx

FraggleRock77 · 29/01/2017 14:43

Hello everyone. Can i join the thread. Long story short: DS1 conceived naturally, born at 29 weeks, luckily a healthy 3year old now. Struggled to conceive again for a while, pregnant then MMC. IUI converted to IVF fell pregnant, MMC. 2x FET no luck. IVF again, only one egg to transfer and nothing to freeze. First month after failed treatment fell pregnant NATURALLY! Currently 9 Wks! Had pretty much come to terms with only having one child. On a ton of drugs due to immune issues. Will also need a cervical stitch if i get that to 12 Wks.

Used to read the fertility board daily and recognise some names. x

Blueroses99 · 29/01/2017 15:28

Welcome Fraggle and congratulations on your pregnancy. Can I ask why you need a stitch? Did you have one in your previous pregnancy? I'm booked in to have one on Friday at 13+4.

MrsCrab no new bleeding is also a good sign. Not sure how things are in your hospital but I called EPU the morning after my fall but they wouldn't see me unless A&E sent me to them!

Misteltoe I imagine the work situation is stressful for you but don't forget you have a lot of protection as you are pregnant.

Hi Bear, Lolly and everyone else.

I'm finding a weekend of packing really stressful. Why do we have so much glassware?! There's no space to move and I'm tripping up over boxes everywhere!

Bear2014 · 29/01/2017 16:09

Hope you're ok now Mrscrab and no fresh blood.

Welcome Fraggle - that's quite a journey you've had. Congratulations on your pregnancy. We have a 3 year old too and one of her best friends was a 28-weeker.

Mistletoe echoing the others, as hard as it is, try to remain calm, state your case and remember that you do have rights. They are probably relying on you being a pushover, so don't be!

I took my last Progynova and Cyclogest yesterday. If anyone wants a full box of Cyclogest, PM me your address.

xx

Bear2014 · 29/01/2017 16:10

Blue - moving house is such a stressful experience so you have my sympathies. Best to do it now though, before there is a baby on the scene getting in the way xx

Lolly2803 · 29/01/2017 16:18

Hey ladies!
MrsCrab hope you're doing ok. I wouldn't worry about work. I would also go and get checked out tomorrow, anything that will put your mind at rest. I'm sure everything is fine after the fall, like the other ladies said they are well protected and your bum probably took most of the impact! I'm sure they're all fine but you'll be super sore.

Welcome and congrats Fraggle!

Blue hope the packing is going well. We are also going to be on the move hopefully soon so I've got it all to come. Packing is just the worst! Hope you get it done soon.

Wahoo for the no more drugs Bear!! How does it feel? You getting excited about your scan? I would love a box of cyclogest if you don't mind?! I'll PM you my address xxxxx
