As it says - did you keep your positive test(s) as a 'memento' or bin it?

(I still have mine from more than three years ago, wondering whether it is weird!)

I did. Gave it a good clean but held onto it. It may be weird. Grin

GreedyDuck · 05/12/2016 21:02

Kept them for a few weeks as proof, but then binned them, I wasn't that attached to them!

daisydalrymple · 05/12/2016 21:02

I have mine from ds1(9), dd(7), and ds2(2) (all 6 for ds2, having had a mmc between him and dd, I couldn't quite believe it). I also have the test for the pregnancy that ended in mmc. Oddly, that's the only one that no longer shows a line.

Whathaveilost · 05/12/2016 21:04

It never occured to me to!
I can't say I regret it.

Notmyweek2 · 05/12/2016 21:05

I have &! I took photos to put in my baby book....my child may not appreciate the fact he started off as p*ss on a stick but it's for me!!

footballwidow12 · 05/12/2016 21:07

I have mine!!! Smile

chloechloe · 05/12/2016 21:19

Given that it's something I'd weed on, no!

(Though I did take a photo on my phone as my first BFP was a squinter so I spent the whole day looking at it trying to decide if it was positive or not!)

Tootsiepops · 05/12/2016 21:26

I have kept all 20 of mine. But I had IVF, and I had a tough time believing it had actually worked on the first attempt.

soundsystem · 05/12/2016 21:28

Nope, never occurred to me!

Oly5 · 05/12/2016 21:29

Yep. I've got
Mine!

Laineymc7 · 05/12/2016 21:30

No. just took a photo then binned it. Don't want to keep it considering I'd peed on it.

Difficultyear2015 · 05/12/2016 21:30

I only ever had the one so I have kept it. It's in our bookcase and DP regularly gets it out to look at it 😆

Roomba · 05/12/2016 21:31

I've still got both of mine, one is almost 12 years old! It's a bit grim I suppose, but they are in my memory boxes and I don't have the heart to throw them out.

HOHOHOvariesBeforeBrovaries · 05/12/2016 21:34

I think DP kept it and still has it somewhere :)

Oysterbabe · 05/12/2016 21:56

I have photos but not the actual thing.

Poppiesway · 05/12/2016 22:03

When I did my first test in 1998 Shock it was done at a chemist.. I got a little print out confirming I was pregnant. I still have the print out.
With ds2 in 2005.. I poas in Tescos then chucked it in bin.. never occurred to me keep it!! I only poas to prove to exdp he was wrong and I wasn't pregnant... Confused

Whatsername17 · 05/12/2016 22:04

I've got photos of the tests I took with dd. With this baby I've kept the digital test and I have photos. With the baby I lost I'd kept the tests in my drawer and when I discovered I'd lost the baby is 11 weeks I wrapped the scan photo around the tests and put the inside of a 'make your own' teddy. Every now and then I give the bear a squeeze and feeling the tests inside comforts me. It's like proof my baby existed, albeit briefly. And with that revelation I win the 'biggest weirdo' game!

Notmyweek2 · 05/12/2016 22:41

Whatsername

That is not weird in the slightest!!

If I hadn't spent the last 2 weeks of my bloody life crying over an idiot ex, I genuinely would have cried reading your post! That's absolutely lovely!

Ilovewillow · 05/12/2016 22:51

I've kept both! Both of my children were very precious IVF babies and I couldn't bear to throw them away. They are with their first scan pics at a few weeks which show their respective twins which we sadly lost!

Tootsiepops · 05/12/2016 23:56

whatsername Not weird at all. I wish I'd thought of that. It would be nice to have something physical to touch and take comfort from when I'm feeling down about my miscarriage.

TheLadyWithTheYellowHat · 06/12/2016 00:00

I did, its still in the wardrobe in an old handbag at my mums house, young surprise pregnancy, was the first place I shoved it so dm wouldn't find it Hmm ds is 3 now and dm still doesn't know its there Blush

mum2Bomg · 06/12/2016 00:26

Yep!
Kept it but it was a clear blue digital one and the display disappeared one day so I then binned it.

Squashberry · 06/12/2016 00:36

I kept dc(1) for seven years then exdp binned it when "tidying" a few months ago. That little stick was the one material thing that was there the moment my whole world changed. I was fuming. Still upset about tbh. Dc(2) was a digital so didn't see much point in keeping that as result faded. I love keeping little stuff like that. Still have dds belly button clip from hosp and their hospital bands that went round their ankles.

TheFlyingFauxPas · 06/12/2016 00:38

Yep. Ds is almost 14. It's in a box in the bathroom.

TheFlyingFauxPas · 06/12/2016 00:38

The test. Not ds.
