Did you really have any symptoms before you got your bfp?

I'm ttc and see lots of symptom spotting/guessing threads on the conception board. I'm really wondering if those who have actually had their bfp had any symptoms at all before you poas and got your bfp? Isn't it too early for most symptoms if you're 1-2 or 2-3 weeks?

I had such sore nipples literally days after I must have conceived. I thought I might be pregnant but I had also just come off the pill so it may have been linked to that.

NetflixandBill · 01/12/2016 18:49

Not especially noticeable at first, but having been pregnant three times this year, i always find that i get a very dry mouth when waking for a few days before my bfp.

BreatheDeep · 01/12/2016 18:51

Significantly sorer boobs than normal period symptoms and nausea. Everything else just felt like expecting my period. And I know not many feel nausea before a missed period.

Nishky · 01/12/2016 18:52

Yes, sore boobs and nausea- said to Dh '.if it wasn't too early I would swear I am pregnant '

sweetchilli77 · 01/12/2016 18:53

i was 8days late before testing, TTC 6 years. i had tender boobs and a bit of cramping, but i get this this when due period hence why not testing till so long after.

Bang....19 weeks later

mrscrocopop · 01/12/2016 18:54

I just noticed I found normal exercise (I.e walking, yoga) was suddenly really hard work, like all the energy was drained out of me. And my mental pregnancy dreams started before my bfp. None of the sore boobs/sickness/more typical pregnancy symptoms though.

Trifleorbust · 01/12/2016 18:56

Not really. I did my test the day I missed my period! Felt very slightly light-headed but that was it.

LifeLong13 · 01/12/2016 18:57

I was sent home from work because I was throwing up and I could smell raw meat EVERYWHERE!!! Didnt think I was pg because we'd been told it was highly unlikely I could conceive. We had been having sex with no contraception as I'd agreed to give it a go but I didn't really believe I was until I did a load of tests that my husband made me do as I didn't want to think I was and have my hopes crushed

gluteustothemaximus · 01/12/2016 18:59

Heightened smell. Sore boobs. Oh and throwing up.

All before bfp. Lucky me Grin

OhtoblazeswithElvira · 01/12/2016 19:03

Yes. At 3 weeks, bizarre emotions, metallic taste in my mouth, changes to my discharge. It was all unprecedented so I decided to POAS and got a BFP a couple of days before my period was due.

V strong symptoms with 2nd pregnancy which ended in MC.

No symptoms with 3rd pregnancy and some bleeding so I thought I wasn't pregnant until I decided to test just for the hell of it at 5-6 weeks. DC is 2 now Grin

Sittingintheshade · 01/12/2016 19:10

I had cramps as normal, was expecting period but got bfp instead. Was extremely surprised! Also had a runny nose and sort of metal taste.

MalbecAndLindt · 01/12/2016 19:20

Yep, very short fuse (way more than normal; going skitso because a woman pulled put when she shouldn't have then proceeded to drive slower than a snail) and extreme tiredNess, as in falling asleep on sofa at 6pm.

MalbecAndLindt · 01/12/2016 19:21

Oh and tingly nipples Grin tested a day before AF was due and now 28 weeks pregnant.

SheepyFun · 01/12/2016 19:30

By the time we conceived DD, I'd been imagining possible symptoms before my period each month; I don't remember the month we were successful being any different!

firsttimemum15 · 01/12/2016 19:32

Aching hips (and buttocks) Im convinced it was due to pg. I found out really early too.

TerriB84 · 01/12/2016 19:32

Apologies for TMI but the main giveaway for me was EWCM. I get this in the lead up to ovulation and usually it changes consistency after. The cycle of my BFP it remained egg white consistency for the remainder of my cycle. This combined with slight nausea and mild cramps (which I don't usually get during my period).

Elllicam · 01/12/2016 19:38

I was warm for once (I'm normally frozen). I had had two bfn's when I complained to my husband the house was too hot.. he went straight out and bought another test :) bfp

jpeg28 · 01/12/2016 19:41

I've been pregnant twice this year and both times I got a stinking cold straight away! Sore boobs too but that could happen every month!

SassyPants19 · 01/12/2016 19:44

The smell of cigarette smoke changed and it would make me instantly nauseous and last for hours. And absolute exhaustion.

JingleBellCock · 01/12/2016 19:45

None whatsoever with my first two pregnancies.

With my third, I projectile vomited one morning bout 3 or 4 days before my period was due. Out of the blue (I was actually driving on the motorway, so that was fun!). Gave me a clue I might possibly be pregnant...

sparkle789 · 01/12/2016 19:45

Really painful, tender boobs. I only had this for about 3 days before I took a test.

GreedyDuck · 01/12/2016 20:15

Tingly nipples the first time around, but only when my period was actually due. Second and third, nothing, was gobsmacked by the + test each time.

McBaby · 01/12/2016 20:24

Metallic taste, neusea from 7 days after ovulation before I could get a positive on a pregnancy test. All 3 times even when not ttc!

raviolidreaming · 01/12/2016 20:30

Nope - I had more 'symptoms' all the many many months TTC when I wasn't pregnant. We were on holiday for the most of the two week wait and I didn't even notice I was late until we got home and I unpacked my tampons!

Bimble14 · 01/12/2016 20:35

Really achy legs for no apparent reason. Went to bed early as they were so painful. Got my bfp the next day, not had the same problem before or since!
