Did you really have any symptoms before you got your bfp?

I'm ttc and see lots of symptom spotting/guessing threads on the conception board. I'm really wondering if those who have actually had their bfp had any symptoms at all before you poas and got your bfp? Isn't it too early for most symptoms if you're 1-2 or 2-3 weeks?

Bloated stomach and the most massive multi-headed spot on my chin [glamorous emoticon].

Felt 'different'. I can't really explain it, but I just knew each time. Had a previous very early MC and two CP and each time I have just known. The test was just a kind of physical proof.

With DC1 I had the metallic taste, and felt sort of pregnant. My sister was about to give at that point (our pregnancies overlapped by three weeks, two of which were after her due date) so I assumed at the time that I was feeling that way in a sort of sisterly solidarity.

With DC2 I woke up one morning just before my period was due and felt pregnant, so I went and bought a test. I hadn't actually been trying get pregnant at that point, so it wasn't wishful thinking.

I am also certain that I was pregnant another time and had an early miscarriage. I didn't do a pregnancy test because I was on holiday with a group.

Dizziness was my main one.

UnluckyinLoo · 01/12/2016 21:17

I nearly fainted with my first - and was sitting down! I'm not a fainter.
With my second I had d&v about 10 days post conception which my eldest and my husband didn't get. I don't normally get these things. Could have been a coincidence or could have been my immune system saying goodbye.
What made me test though was the insomnia - waking up all sneezy and wide awake for several hours every night for a week before I tested and got a positive. (And mega thirst and peeing but that was around the missed period time).

Was drinking with DP and just wasn't feeling it/couldn't be bothered.
Slightly swollen/tender boobs (assumed TOM)
Cried all the way through a programme about dogsSmile

Broke out in excema on my hands - only other time that happened it was before I came down with tonsillitis so I knew something was up.

Cat was super clingy - usually before my period he avoided me a bit.

Had some pretty crazy dreams - one in particular involved trying to park my car but it kept rolling backwards. Googled it - no idea why I've never googled dreams before - and lo and behold dreaming about an out of control vehicle or difficult to manovure vehicle could mean you're pregnant.

Boobs remained tender after ovulation.

Back ache.

Cervix was very high with white, lotion type CM.

I've been pregnant 7? Times now. I have known I was pregnant a week before a test would have shown it up every single time (bar the first when I wasn't sure what I was looking for). Dizziness, sore boobs, stuffy nose.

Foggymist · 02/12/2016 00:03

I was absolutely exhausted within 10 days of conceiving, sleeping 10-12 hours and still having to drag myself out of bed. And had lots of cramps in the two days before bfp, was certain my period was coming, got bfp when it was a few hours late.

DramaAlpaca · 02/12/2016 00:10

I knew several days before my period was due with all three of mine. I had swollen, tender boobs, a heightened sense of smell, a metallic taste in my mouth - and just a feeling that I was pregnant. Taking the test was just a formality really. I've only ever done three tests, one for each pregnancy.

INeedNewShoes · 02/12/2016 00:13

No symptoms here, apart from a tiny bit of implantation bleeding, until at least 5 weeks when the nausea started.

I was perplexed by the sore boobs thing that everyone else reports. I'm 17 weeks now and still waiting for sore boobs!

oldlaundbooth · 02/12/2016 00:49

TMI

I had absolutely catastrophic diahorrea before I took a test : and I felt really bizarre and was also craving ice cold Coke....

Cuppaqueen · 02/12/2016 02:09

I waited till my period was 5/6 days late to test, but in that time I definitely began to suspect I was, due to larger, tender boobs and a constant stuffy nose. I have had to blow my nose every single day of this pregnancy (now 20+ weeks). Also began to feel a slight queasiness at times although I don't know if that was linked to me starting to suspect it Hmm

toopeoply · 02/12/2016 02:13

I knew I was pregnant really quickly. Probably within days of conceiving. Sore boobs and a bit crampy. Every time (4)
