Clearblue positive - eBay test negative?

Afternoon lovelies! I did a clearblue test 3 days ago on my period due date. It came up a very faint positive, which doesn't show up too well on photos but I can certainly see it. I've done a different test this afternoon, at around 2 o'clock which was an eBay one and it has come back negative. We've been TTC for 2 months. I have been an bought a new pack of clearblue to try again in the morning! What's everyone's opinions? I'm seeing a lot about false positives with clearblue and it's making me worry. Thanks in advance xx

P.S. Top one is clearblue, bottom is eBay.

Can you post a photo?

Meg91 · 04/09/2016 10:34

It's too faint, not been picked up on photo at all! Added an edited version too. It's close to the end of the window, nearest the control side xx

Why not test again tomorrow and see if it's any clearer. I used tesco tests while TTC and I found them very good, even the blue dye ones.

Jodie1982 · 04/09/2016 12:45

Sorry I can't see a line anywhere.
Good luck OP.

McBaby · 04/09/2016 12:53

Sorry I can't see a line. First response early result have always worked for me even a week before period was due.

R1996 · 04/09/2016 13:00

Hello wondering if anyone could help me really confused and don't no what to do I done one of the stick ones the small ones n it came as 2 solid lines onit but then got two clear blues and they've both came up negative but I have looked up and everyone says the clear blue ones ain't that sensitive any suggestions ????Confused

Meg91 · 04/09/2016 13:04

The tesco ones never failed me with my previous two pregnancies but they've changed the tests since then, they are now blue instead of red! Only positives I've got is 4 clearblue. Gonna wait and see if Mother Nature arrives and if not then I'll go see doc. I'm 9 days late xx

Boots do first responses. I got my bfp on those 4 days before af was due. My internet cheapies didn't give me a bfp until about 3 days after af was due.

Meg91 · 04/09/2016 13:12

It was all straight forward with my first 2 as they were surprises but this time we are TTC, it's driving me mad. I would normally have trusted my 4 CB, from 2 different packets, but then went crazy after reading about false positives & now a tesco coming up in the wrong place. Can see the line by eye but can't get it to pick up on camera which is frustrating. Xx

I did a boots test strip (5 in a pack) and got a faint positive -got darker when it dried. I did a cb with line and got a very faint positive. Did cb digital and got pregnant 1-2 weeks. On my first pregnancy, I got a positive on cb digital and my doctor got a faint positive on her test but she said because the cb was positive I could take it as confirmed.
Fc for you Meg91 xx

BettyOBarley · 04/09/2016 13:22

Hi op, I can't definitely see something on your earlier tests but to be honest I would have thought at 10(?) days late you would be seeing a darker line than today's unless your dates could be out. Good luck though Flowers

BettyOBarley · 04/09/2016 13:23

Sorry should say *can not can't

Meg91 · 04/09/2016 13:52

I thought that too BettyOBarley but with my eldest the lines never got darker, they were always as faint as the CB ones but with my youngest, I got a solid red line on a tesco test first time in the evening. Thank you xx

I've edited the 'probably faulty tesco' test as the line isn't in the centre it's off to one side, it's only slight. I'm going line mad 😂 Should listen to hubby when he tells me to throw them away and not over analyse! Xx

I still have my positive tesco test in my babies first year book. I shall go look after I've fed him and see if the line is off centre.

Meg91 · 04/09/2016 17:46

they are centred I think, I used them for both my previous pregnancies but they used to be red dye too xx

Are you using the first wee of the morning? X

Meg91 · 04/09/2016 21:55

Yep! I did midstream with my CB and in a cup for tesco xx

SleepDeprivedAndCranky · 05/09/2016 22:04

Hi Meg91 Any stronger line today?

Meg91 · 06/09/2016 12:56

I got a negative tesco test this morning! I'm so confused, 4 positive clearblue, I know the horror stories of the false positives but I did 4, from 2 different packets! Surely they can't all have been wrong? I'm 12 days late now xx

In your position, I would go speak to a doctor. Maybe they can do a blood test and clear things up for you.

Groovee · 06/09/2016 16:59

My friend had to get blood tests done as she felt pregnant but negative tests and it turned out she was pregnant.
