I have to keep swallowing and taking deep breaths out. Have rushed to loo a few times and am now having to go off to tube land to have meeting with colleauge and client. Really want to be over a loo.

for on tube - plastic bag - and a discrete corner needed (I had to do this on the bus regularly)

for when you get to work - toothpaste and toothbrush, and some mints, to make you feel fresher.

I sympathise - remember waht it was like

lulumama · 30/01/2007 12:20

you are pregnant ! since when !

have you time to buy some seabands...take a bottle of cold water to sip and soem plain biscuits if you can

TeeCee · 30/01/2007 12:23

Since typing have had to dash out of office, and ran down starirs with hand over mouth and was properly sick.

I love it really cos it means it's all ok but i'm only 6 weeks so can't tell anyone here and have to deal with client in a bit. Eeeek.

Will purchase a bottle of water for tube and maybe a piece of bread or something. ?????

plain crackers or biscuits,

congratulations (( hug))

TeeCee · 30/01/2007 12:24

Good idea to keep mints at work.

Accidentally had my usual coffee and peanut butter on toastthis morning which probably hasn't helped and has made me feel bad for having 2 things I shouldn't have had.

congrats TC, didn't know you were pregnant!

yes, something plain with lots of carbs (crust of bread or something). Suck lots of mints and carry a plastic bag (check for holes!) like panda suggests. POor you!

Oh no, poor you. Was never that sick when I was working (am now SAHM and have been quite sick this time but not the same when wretching and kids are asking where there breakfast is and telling teacher that is why they are late for school....again).

Yes, deffo try the acupressure wrist band things and lemon and/or ginger things can help, biscuits/tea etc.

Bramshott · 30/01/2007 12:26

I munched yoghurt-coated raisins through several meetings in early pregnancy this time. Seemed to stave off the vomitting, and are quite discreet to eat.

piglit · 30/01/2007 12:27

A ginger biscuit or some ginger ale. Worked for me.

Oh god, it's all coming back to me know. I used to retch the whole time with ds1 and had to leave loads of meetings pretending I was having a coughing fit and hope that I made it to the bathroom on time. The worst was when I was about 8 weeks pg and sitting in court and I felt this wave of nausea sweep over me. I couldn't get out fast enough and ended up being sick in my hand. Shocker.

Birthdaybeetroot · 30/01/2007 12:27

Birthdaybeetroot · 30/01/2007 12:28

Ceolas · 30/01/2007 12:31

Was wondering Enid. Works for me too

TeeCee · 30/01/2007 12:31

Beetroot - yes darling I am. Didn't mention it in email as it really wasn't the time with the topic of the email and all that.

Was going to wait tand email you later.

LOL - and after 2 kids when one retches one has to think about ones pelvic floor as well aye! So not a good look when in a meeting!

The raisin thing makes me want to be sick just thinking, ohhhh no, ohhh

Think I could nibble a plain digestive biscuit.

Mints would jsut add to the too much saliva problem I seem to be having!!!!!

Enid · 30/01/2007 12:32

TeeCee · 30/01/2007 12:33

when I was in my preganncy yoga for first baby. There was a woman who has a spittoon as she had so much spit - had to carry it around with her - classy!!

BettySpaghetti · 30/01/2007 12:33

Try a few drops of grapefruit essential oil on a tissue and have a sniff every now and again.

Birthdaybeetroot · 30/01/2007 12:34

god this is good news. has cheered me up. amso pleased for you babe

TeeCee · 30/01/2007 12:34

But with sweets - it'll just add to the excess saliva thing. I have to keep swallowing like some freak already!

Ohhh don't, feel queasy thinking of anything other than a plain rich tea biscuit.
