oh no. Not a good look.
I have to keep swallowing and taking deep breaths out. Have rushed to loo a few times and am now having to go off to tube land to have meeting with colleauge and client. Really want to be over a loo.

twins - hooray

Bugsy2 · 30/01/2007 12:35

Congrats & poor you! My friend had this for 7 months & she was a senior legal counsel & board member for a multi-national at the time. She developed a penchant for enormous hankies & told everyone she had a chest infection. Would try & make coughing noises to cover the retching.
Really, really feel for you. Thank heavens I never actually retched but used to feel soooooooooooo nauseous. Would sit sweating hot & cold in meetings wanting to die.

PMSl at spitton!

It all makes so much sense now I know I'm pregnant.
I had to empty contents of my Sainsburys bag as I drove along the other day in a complete panic and .... well you don't need to know the rest.

Thanks for grapefruit oil tip btw, think I could stomach that and will look into getting some.

TeeCee · 30/01/2007 12:44

When people say 'ohhh was it planned', I feel so silly being a 35 yr old mother of 2 saying 'ummmm no not really'!!!!!!!

Birthdaybeetroot · 30/01/2007 12:45

god yes - lie

has there been an announcement on here TC

nailpolish · 30/01/2007 12:47

TC - even if it was i would say "well we are at it like rabbits so it was bound to happen sooner or later" just to see the look on their faces

or tell them to mind their own fecking business!

am v happy for you, you do produce the most beautiful children!

TeeCee · 30/01/2007 12:47

No as such, but then again yes.
I started a thread saying what a lovely day it was (the day D said he was cool with it) but didn't say why, just had to say something, you know how I am. Anyway Jan, CD and a couple of others put the pressure on to spill why I was so chirpy and I caved!

Poor you. Brings back horrible memories (mixed with the good one). I was sick for 9 months! Rarely actually sick but SO nauseated ALL the time. Couldn't even drink water without wanting to gag.
Had the oral exam of my PhD just a few weeks into the pregnancy. I was more nervous about whether I would manage to hold my guts in, than about what questions I would be asked...

hunkermunker · 30/01/2007 12:52

Aw, TC!

Glad you're feeling so awful - well, not that you're feeling awful, but happy for the reason, iyswim?

Sorry not to have met last week. Will do once you stop puking - I fear for my shoes otherwise

Seriously - keep remembering your news and grinning! x x x

TeeCee · 30/01/2007 12:55

Oh Isa11 - bless, that made me laugh and feel so bad for you at the same time.

Hunks - no worries, totally understand, any Mon or Fri, we'll get there eventually. Looking forward to seeing you again.

i sit in board meetings burping and thinking " you can think i'm unladylike or i can throw up in your face - you choose".
Bags of mixed seeds - makes you feel like a budgie but they taste of nothing and really sort out your blood sugar.
