Sorry to hear about all your bad luck honey. How long ago was your last MC? Perhaps you still have the HCG hormone in your body. I guess you must do to get a BFP.

lissielou · 28/01/2007 10:30

on weds but got bfn at docs

The pregnancy hormones can hang about in your body for a couple of weeks, Lissie.

Sorry to hear about your mcs.

dont really know what to say as i dont want you to get your hope up, but bought tests are more senative than gp, i was told this by a friend who works at hospital in labs! i really do hope for you its the waiting what gets to you((hugs))

PurpleLostPrincess · 28/01/2007 11:22

You poor thing! I m/c'd back in October and had an ERPC etc.
About a month later, EPAU nurse called me and asked me to do a test to check that the hormones were out of my system so I guess they expected them to be there...? It wasn't a pleasant experience considering I was trying to get it all out of my head!

Hope it all works out for you xxx

lissielou · 28/01/2007 11:40

dont know is there a chance that i could be pg?

ItsMeMellowma · 28/01/2007 11:46

LL I don't usually come and comment on the pregnancy threads as I hate to get hopes up etc.. but have been following your story..

As I say I do not want to get your hopes up but a friend of mine had the same happen when we were young. It turned out she was carrying twins and had lost one baby but it had gone un-noticed that there was another...

Please try not to get too hopeful because your head must be bursting with all this...hope it is good news for you...if anyone deserves some, you do!!

Catbabymummy · 28/01/2007 11:48

Don't know what to say Lissie... so sorry you are having a hard time.

lissielou · 28/01/2007 11:51

well mellowma, justed asked my mum if there were twins in our family and apparently her mum had twins that were stillborn. and mums auntie has twin sons. my head feels so messed up just want to know now. im actually shaking and i feel bad coz i had a couple of beers last night thinking it was safe but what if it wasnt??

OP posts:
ItsMeMellowma · 28/01/2007 11:56

A couple of beers wouldn't matter...

Try not to get yourself so stressed

I know it must be horrible...you must be feeling like you have little helicopters going around in your brain!!!

So you have a scan on Tuesday? you need to try to do something to take your mind off things, although I know it is almost impossible....

Really feel for you,we tried for 4 years to conceive ds1 and had missed misc etc...it takes its toll on you mentally as well as physically.. Lets hope for some good news..xxxx

Plibble · 28/01/2007 12:05

Gosh Lissie - it's a real rollercoaster for you at the moment. The same thing that Mellowmama describes happened to my mother when she was pregnant. She was told she had miscarried, but I am now in my 30s! Please try to take it easy until Tuesday and be careful about getting your hopes up (I have heard that pregnancy hormones can hang around for a bit after m.c.). What will be will be, of course, but do try to relax and be kind to yourself. I have my fingers and toes crossed for you!

lulumama · 28/01/2007 12:17

lissie...the hormones can hang around , as has been said , i think it is a case of wait and see for the scan, and fingers crossed..x

lissielou · 28/01/2007 12:55

is it normal for the result to be darker than the previous ones

OP posts:
belgo · 28/01/2007 13:01

Lissie Lou - I saw your miscarriage thread - and as much as we would all love you to still be pregnant, I really don't want you to have false hope only to be devastated again...as someone else said, the hormones could still be present in your bloodstream for a little while after miscarriage.

lissielou · 28/01/2007 13:09

i suppose, its just so hard. id only just started to come to terms with the mc, and then this....

OP posts:
belgo · 28/01/2007 13:16

Recurrent miscarriage is very hard to deal with - is there anyone you can talk to about how you feel? Are you having tests done to find out why you keep on miscarrying?

lissielou · 28/01/2007 13:19

yes, seeing specialist on thurs, just dont know what to think. do i assume im still pg? do i assume ive mced?
