I've made the new thread, hope I'm not stepping on anyone's toes... just wanted to make sure we had one.

Glad you have something, Lynsey!

MissClarke86 · 23/08/2016 18:13

Ooh Lynsey I might get myself down the docs if there's a chance of pain relief!! Let me know if it helps you, I hope it does.

AButterflyLightsBesideUs · 23/08/2016 18:31

Lovely news purple, and at 8+ they start to look more like a little baby on the screen too don't they.

lynsey I'm so glad you've got something, fx it works! I'm still getting the headaches too but they are less awful than previously - interesting that if it's hormonal it should clear up around 20 weeks. I wonder what changes.

mrs I'm glad things have taken a positive turn for you, that's great to hear.

I've been feeling things for a while that I couldn't decide if they were movements or digestion, but in the last few days we have definite movement Smile It's usually more like a fish rolling over deep inside me than neat little kicks, so I reckon (s)he is making the most of the space for now and doing some swimming/forward rolls! Bladder currently the size of a peanut or similar, it's becomming a major consideration whenever we try and go anywhere etc - I need (and I mean need) a toilet stop about every 30 mins Shock
Suddenly very constipated too so I'm considering phoning up for a lactulose prescription, this is not doing my piles any favours.

I'm properly showing now by late afternoon, - earlier in the day I can still chose how I dress as to whether I am aiming for I ate all the pies or I am 4 months pregnant, but after dinner forget it, bump is enormous!

18 ish weeks now.

LynseyH · 23/08/2016 18:34

Thanks whatser!
missclarke I've had co-dydramol before for something totally unrelated and find it made me a little dizzy. Don't like that feeling! Can't remember if I took one or 2 back then though. Will give it a go but can imagine I'll only take one tablet to try it.

LynseyH · 23/08/2016 18:37

Cross posted there butterfly! Glad your ok and sounds lovely to be feeling the movement!! Actually thought of you this morning thinking it's been a little while since we heard from you!

Naschkatze · 23/08/2016 19:09

Glad the doctor could help Lynsey. Hope it works for you, headaches are the worst.

Also thought of you earlier Butterfly. Feeling movements must be incredible - I can't wait.

My screening results came back today at low risk so I'm pleased that it's one less thing to worry about.

Naschkatze · 23/08/2016 19:13

Oo sorry, strange things happening with the Talk app on my phone Blush

LuckyinOctober · 23/08/2016 19:59

Great to read your positive scan news purple, feline when you say the CBD now says 2-3 did it previously say 3+ or is it just that you think it should say 3+ based on dates? Like you say, losing symptoms, CBD results and cramping and spotting don't necessarily mean anything, but good you're going to get checked out Flowers butterfly I think I'm starting to get fluttery/ flip floppy feelings in my bump that I can separate from gas but it's tricky for me - I'm just slightly behind you in dates so hoping next week I'll be clearer like you.

HopefulKate1980 · 23/08/2016 21:48

Sorry not caught up yet but just wanted to say what great news purple. Have been checking all day and what a relief! You deserve this so much xx

purpleviolet1 · 23/08/2016 21:54

Thank you so much girls. Sorry my posts have been self centred recently, I just don't have the mental capacity at the moment. I feel so overwhelmed though and like I don't know whether I'm coming or going. There's just so much going on. I'll hopefully be back properly soon but I am watching the thread and enjoy the updates X

BertieBotts · 23/08/2016 22:56

Don't be silly purple, we like to see your updates :)

felineways · 24/08/2016 07:56

Oh butterfly movements exciting times!

Lucky cb has dropped from steady 3+ Right from the start to 2-3 weeks a day or so after spotting started. Gp did a test and the line was very faint. So he sent a urine sample to the hospital lab. I'd really like a beta hgc blood test as I can't see a urien sample will show anything different. But beta hgc are done by the local Epu and in my area appointments are like hens teeth under 7-8 weeks.

To be fair my gp is good but methodical. I've no doubt he will send me at 7-8 weeks if I'm still pregnant and spotting etc.

jpeg28 · 24/08/2016 08:34

Morning everyone... Just catching up on the last couple of days posts....

whatser that's so exciting you're feeling kicks and your bump has popped!! That's awful that your SLT haven't replied or acknowledged your email. Although my school are virtually the same! What is it with them?? It sounds like you have a massive job and you give everything for the school, they should be grateful that you're going back early for their benefit! What subject do you teach?

lyndsey I'm glad your appt went well and really good they have opened up support if you need it.

mrs I am so so pleased you're scan went well!!!

purple so pleased for you too! Bet that is such a relief.

I'm 5+4 today and had more really painful cramps in the night for about 15 mins. I remember this from last time and hope that it's not the start of a MC. Scan is next Tuesday so fingers x. I've been camping for a few days which has been nice especially as it's boiling! It's tough being off school for 6 weeks with my OH... I think we both need to go back to school as we keep biting each other's heads off!! Confused

Sorry if I've missed anyone's news... Hope all ok

mrs I'm sorry you're having spotting again. Only thing I can say is that the doctor told me that brown spotting is completely nothing to worry about and she said most people will have it during their pregnancy. I know how worrying it is though. I have been googling non stop and I think it's making me more worried!! Mention it to the midwife but I'm sure she will say it's all ok. Flowers

felineways · 24/08/2016 17:27

Mrs given the fact you've had a scan which shows no cause for concern. The brown discharge is unlikely to be an issue.

I know for some women pregnacy hormones cause irratation to the cervix and that results in a little bleeding which generally comes out as out oxygenated ( brown blood)

doleritedinosaur · 24/08/2016 17:46

Aw Mrs I'm sorry you've still got this, brown is good as its old bloody & like feline says it could be cervical irritation.

I've got 16 hours until the 12 week scan & im trying to be hopeful. OH is really excited & trying to be upbeat although DS not sleeping properly had him asking about it being a good idea & I got upset as don't know if everything is okay yet.

I'm definitely feeling flutters every day & they're like DS's but I'm trying convince myself it's gas & being positive is so hard.

Hope your urine test comes back soon Feline, did the doctor say how long?

Purple don't worry about the posts, mine has just been like that! You've got so much going on.

BertieBotts · 24/08/2016 18:20

My DS keeps asking if there's a baby in my tummy because I'm so bloated Blush

We haven't told him yet because he said he wanted to know when it was a bit later on - waiting for a scan or some sign of heartbeat at least.

My app says we should have a heartbeat by today :) I assume they can't pick it up just yet though. I am 5 weeks. DH was like "Can I just listen to your stomach?"

doleritedinosaur · 24/08/2016 18:39

Bertie if it helps my cat always picks up around 4/5 weeks that I'm pregnant & that could be heartbeat.

Don't know how she knows but she always does.

BertieBotts · 24/08/2016 18:42

Huh how funny. I wouldn't have thought it would be audible at all though? Hmmm off for a google! :)

doleritedinosaur · 24/08/2016 18:51

Don't think humans can hear but have no idea how my cat knows.
Maybe hormones give off something they can sense.

Naschkatze · 24/08/2016 19:01

Doleritedinosaur My cats know too I'm sure of it. One of them took to sleeping on my tummy (used to prefer DH so this was unusual) from about 6 weeks.

BertieBotts · 24/08/2016 19:02

Maybe we smell different. I know my heart rate has gone up. I have a heart rate monitor on my phone and it's about 10-20bpm higher than usual consistently.

Your core body temperature rises, as you'll know if you charted - perhaps cats like the heat?

MissClarke86 · 24/08/2016 19:17

One of my cats has slept next to me in bed every night since I was about 8 weeks and won't really leave me alone. He's a massive fluffy Maine Coone so it's not comfy in this heat!! I'm sure he knows.

(Picture attached because I love him so much!)
