I don't know if Im feeling the baby or not! First pregnancy to reach this stage so not sure if it is baby or gas. But it feels like I have butterflies in my stomach and I'm being tickled from the inside

purpleviolet1 · 08/08/2016 08:44

That is the baby. If you lie on your back and watch your belly you might see tiny tremors.

HopefulKate1980 · 08/08/2016 09:07

Good luck purple xxx

I would bet my mortgage that your dh agitated your cervix, Mrs. I avoided sex until after 12 weeks when everything had retreated higher. How many weeks are you? 10 days to go. Keeping everything crossed for you x

Hugs to you mrs. I'm not sure if it's possible but can you not make a doctor appointment and ask to be referred asap for a scan. 10 days a long time to wait. I think your pink cm will be from having sex and irritating the cervix, think it's quite common.

Thinking of you mrs. I tried to DM you last night to see how you are but I can't seem to do it on my phone. Glad the bleeding has all but stopped and the CM is back. No more sex for you lady!! I'm v impressed you even managed it. The thought makes me sick at the moment!!

Does anyone else at 9/10 weeks have a v low cervix? I keep bashing it as I put the progesterone in!!

Xx

Whatsername17 · 08/08/2016 12:39

Sorry if this is insensitive when people are feeling vulnerable but I just wanted to say we have been for another scan today and we are having a girl! I didnt mind either way and we had the scan for reassurance purposes because of my anxiety. But dd wanted to know so we found out. So excited and relieved to see a wriggly baby.

Whatsername17 · 08/08/2016 12:54

My cervix was low until after 10 weeks x

Have you got stuff to have your mind off it all mrs? The waiting is torturous. But it sounds v positive that no more bleeding?

Congrats whats!!!!! Gorgeous. What scan was this? I don't know when the gender scan happens. So lovely. Did you have a preference?

The low cervix is a slight worry now I've done the dreaded Google but what you say whats is reassurance. Fingers crossed.

Xx

Whatsername17 · 08/08/2016 14:38

We wanted a scan at 16 weeks because it just seemed too long to wait between 12 and 20. The gender scan is what the clinic offer to find out the sex after 16 weeks. We booked the scan because they don't do reassurance scans after 12 weeks. We didn't take dd but she had been asking and asking if the baby was a boy or a girl. When the sonographer asked us if we wanted to know we couldn't resist. She spent ages measuring everything and reassuring us of what was normal. She answered loads of questions and talked us through everything. She found my placenta is lying a bit low and told us what they would do about it at the 20 week scan. It was brilliant for reassurance and I'm so glad we went. The ladies at tummy2mummy in Hinckley are amazing. They looked after me so well through my mmc and have been brilliant this time too.

mikesh909 · 08/08/2016 15:11

Lucky, I think I felt them first around 17 weeks, like others said, they are more noticeable when lying on your back. I got my partner to see if he could feel them - when he said he definitely could, I took that as confirmation... Mac, that sounds like baby movements to me.

Congratulations, Whatser, that's lovely news! I know what you mean about the long wait between 12 and 20 weeks.

Good thoughts for Purple and Mrs and everybody else in the horrid anxious waiting period.

HopefulKate1980 · 08/08/2016 15:24

Ahhh whats that's lovely news. When are you telling your daughter? Xx

LadyLynsey · 08/08/2016 15:49

Congratulations on your little girl whatser. How lovely!
I really want to go for a 16 week scan too but partner refusing whilst kids are still off school so by the time they are back and settled, I'll be closer to 18 weeks. Wondering if my parents would come over for a few hours and have the kids while we go...big ask when they live an hour away!

My head has been much more manageable today, still a slight throbbing but I can cope with that. Noticed my more tired days come when we have nothing particular to do in the day, if we are just at home, I struggle. Thankfully we are going to stay with my parents for a few days from Friday so it'll be a nice change of scenery...if not completely tiring!
purple don't worry about your symptoms going, there is every chance you could be back at your worst in a day or so. I found my boobs have been sore, then not, then sore again. It really is tough to be where you are but your doing well.
mac I remember my stomach having constant butterflies with my first and mentioning it to a work colleague and she was the one who said that's the first movements! I had no idea!! I had a sensation the other day that felt like a foot under my rib but obviously it's much to early for that. Still strangely found it reassuring though!

Whatsername17 · 08/08/2016 15:49

We told her today. Dh had made two cards that said 'it's a boy' and 'it's a girl'. He put them in an envelope then gave her the 'girl' one when we got home. It was really sweet to watch her read it and she gave me a massive hug. She's spent the rest of the day saying 'I was right mummy and you were wrong!' Grin

purpleviolet1 · 08/08/2016 17:00

Awww I'm soo happy your whatser!! Really nice news.

Thanks Lyndsey. I just feel the symptoms have gone. The boobs are less sore and I don't feel anywhere near as tired. When I went for bloods this morning the nurse said the doc had just been through to give me antibiotics as discussed with the obstetrician. They've decided I should take nitrufirantoin everyday. I feel like talking such a waste though because this isn't even going to happen Sad I don't think my body is strong enough. X

Hi all from Italy!

Congratulations Whatser. Lovely news for your family! I too have been wondering how to cope between 12 and 20 weeks (if I am lucky enough to get that far) and have been considering another private scan...

Kate Just to second what Whatser said, my cervix was low until about 10 weeks too. I was worrying about it as well. I noticed last week that it had risen much further up so hoping that's a good thing Hmm. Hope you're enjoying your holiday.

Purple Sorry you're having a worrying time. Hang on in there.

My sickness and tiredness seems to have disappeared this week and as a result I'm worrying a lot even though we are away. Praying that it is just because I'm coming to the end of the first trimester and I'm going to be one of the lucky ones in terms of nausea... The holiday is doing me good but I'm worrying about everything; what I can eat/can't; drinking water; swimming. It's ridiculous. 12 week scan next week... Will feel so relieved if we can get through that unscathed.
