38 weeks on Monday, had my last day before maternity leave yesterday.
I feel freakishly large, can't stand or walk for more than a minute without needing a wee.
When I wee, I'll finish, stand up... aaand I need a wee again.
Being so large, I get lots of comments and questions. Most are lovely, but I could really do without the unsolicited parenting advice or birthing horror stories.
The sweating. OMG, the sweating. I've always loved the summer as I used to feel the cold horrendously (13.5 tog quilt even in summer), which I now know was a side effect of a dodgy thyroid. Now I'm on treatment and heavily pregnant, I long for cold weather. Winter is coming? BRING IT.
Possibly TMI, but when I walk, it feels like my innards are going to fall out of my vagina.
A few weeks back I was diagnosed with PGP and had horrendous back pain. Thankfully that's gone, but now the front hurts.
I managed to go 35 years without ever having indigestion. Now I have it daily.
I also managed to go 35 weeks with no stretch marks, but now I've got a load on the underside of t'bump.
I have great difficulty putting socks and shoes on, and can't clip my own toenails. Or shave my minge.
Good luck with the labour, Jester!
