Pregnancy do's and don't's

Hi all!

This is my first pregnancy, and I am super early (4+2)! Attached this mornings tests... I'm addicted to POAS!

Please could you drop off your pregnancy advise! Things to do, things not to do, what you should avoid (foods etc)!

I don't know if it's just me being pessimistic but I really feel like I can't be happy and excited yet because it doesn't seem real and it's too early to get like that.
I've done tests with lines but the lines aren't that dark so I've started doubting them ... Got a digital on its way and so nervous it will come up no pregnant.

How did others feel at the start???

Ok that's reassuring then, thought there was no way I could be showing so much already. So hard to try and hide it at work though, I can't suck my stomach in like I used to be able to haha!
That's good your sickness is easing off! I seem to have had more headache recently with a slight sicky feeling.

Radders try not to worry lovely, a line is a line regardless of the strength. You're still very early and only just at the time AF would have been due aren't you?! A lot of people haven't even got enough hgc to show up on a text yet, it will take a while to get stronger. I only ever did one test and that was 2 days after AF was due, I got a neg the day before. Though I don't think it was a very sensitive test tbh

Last month I had 26 day cycle month before that 28. I only came off pill beginning of February.
If was 26 day would've been due Tuesday and 28 today.

That is true, I got my first positive on Saturday so is very early. And was only about 9dpo so was quite shocked!

Want to get through next couple of weeks then I think I will start getting excited :)

Doing ok thank you, sickness is starting to tail off a bit which is good, just getting a few headaches now. 12 weeks tomorrow and desperate to go for our scan so we can relax knowing bubba is ok. But still got over a week to wait xx

I am 1 dpo, ovulated yesterday evening I think! So early days but fingers crossed for this month.

I am on countdown to test day on Friday ... Not too much longer to go.
Not had any symptoms other than bbt still elevated and still have thick creamy CM

Very exciting, hope this is your month! How many DPO are you on Fri?

Yes very excited for our scan this week, it is on Wednesday 😊 Although I'm starting to get a small bump, I think being able to see our little one will make it feel real at last 😍

I will be 14dpo on Friday. Last month I got my BFP on 9dpo which is today but I'm not testing. Friday seems so long away!

Bet you are so excited and feels like it's been ages since your BFP. Has anyone guessed yet? Do many people know anyway? Xx

Aww you'll have to let us know what your result is I know, everything seems to take ages! I'm such an impatient person too

Thank you, we're both very excited. Feels like we've waited so long for this. Yes a few people at work have guessed, but luckily not too many people. It really is the hardest secret to keep, will be glad to finally be able to share our news with everyone xx

Aww congratulations lovely!! So so pleased for you exciting times ahead!! You got any symptoms yet? It does go very quickly, after the 12 week scan anyway. That seemed to take ages to come round xx

My main symptom has been gas.... Classy!
I have waves of nausea but nothing much.
Tiredness hasn't kicked in yet - no more than normal anyway.

I don't think symptoms kick in until if after 6 weeks do they ... If they're going to at all!

I have an early scan booked at 7 weeks so time is dragging until then. Argh.

Are you finding out what you're having?

Haha I suffered a lot with that too! Found some foods made it much worse, so avoiding those.
Aww lovely, that'll be nice not having to wait until 12 weeks for the first scan
