I vomited right up to delivery, and as I waited for the c-section and wasn't allowed to drink all morning, just kept going on to my husband 'I'm going to puke, I'm going to puke'. So I had a lot of time to find a remedy, and in the last few weeks puked as much as ever before, so nothing was a cure.
Early on, ice pops, Mr Freeze, sun lollies, etc. As long as I was crunching on ice I felt less close to throwing up. Salty dry snacks - not crisps, as potatoes made me throw up, but those toasted ciabatta slices M&S sell (this is why I put ON weight with ms) and breadsticks. I threw up green vegetables immediately (so devoured the soft hospital broccoli when it was all over) and avoided them throughout. Healthy, eh?
The best thing I did was eating late at night, very very late, just before I slept, and making sure it contained protein and fat, so would keep my stomach full longer. This meant skipping dinner with my husband (which I always threw up anyway) and at midnight eating a toasted bagel with thick cream cheese and a slice of turkey, then doing my best to sleep immediately.
Mostly it's over by 12 weeks, hope yours is gone before that.
