after 2 mc, how likely is this pregnancy to go all the way??

ive had 2 mc in the last year,one normal, one missed! I was on the pill both other times though. I really want to get excited, as 2 of my closest friends have annouced they are pregnant, but im too scared!

I was in the kitchen this morning when my mouth started watering and i really thought i was going to throw up, i have never had that before, just a mild sicky feeling, this must be good news, right???

LIssielou - I have one mc and am now 13 weeks with my next pg. I didnt 'feel' all that pg with the first one, though I did have sore boobs. This one I have been nauseous from even before finding out. I dont know whether that is coincidental or not - I know lots of women have some symptons with one pg and not with another - but for em I definitely felt that stronger feelings of being pg were defnitely a good sign - and they proved to be! So I would say I think it is definitely good news for you. GOOD LUCK with it - everything crossed for you.

no, my mcs were post ds but my mw with ds said that tho there are obv exceptions if a baby takes over your body to that extent its a tenaciou lil bugger and v strong. with ds the 1st inkling i had was throwing up in the restaurant bin coz the loo was too far (tmi sorry )

My cousins's wife had 3 mc before giving birth to their daughter in March.

what do you mean do a test? i have done 3 pregnncy tests

i think the most important thing is to trust your own instincts. try to think positive and just watch what you do. with my 1st mc i was on a plane back from spain and i still blame myself for lifting the heavy suitcases, ds, pushchairs etc. rest up and get dp running after you

how many weeks pregnant do you think you aer?

Well....... My last af was 13th November, but my cycle before that was about 45 days, ( because of mc ) so at 45 days it works out at about 5 weeks i think?!

ok..just that an early scan would not help much to put your mind at ease at this stage... from 7 + weeks you can see a heartbeat..

maybe go to the GP tomorrow, explain you are pregnant and obviously worried due to your history and see if you can arrange an early scan at teh EPU to put your mind at rest , if you feel you can't wait for your 12 week scan...

fab idea lulu, they should offer you extra monitoring anyway

With my last pg i had a scan at what should have been 10 weeks and was only 6! so im a bit nervous of having an early scan iykwim.
My cycles were always about 28 days, but i did a test on the 27th dec and it was neg!

I have had 1 mc at 5.5 weeks & i had no pregnancy syptoms at all i just new something was not right.

5 months later i then fell pregnant again & had all the signs i now have a gorgeous1 yr old dd

i take the point re early scans...

if you have had 3 positive tests, adn you are starting to feel sick, then it is a good sign,,.and time will tell...

MKG's right. my gp has stressed that after 3 confirmed mcs and 2 unconfirmed (i say it was the docs just shrug) as soon as i fall pg again i will be sent off to epu. an early scan may ease your mind

Yes it would be 7 weeks only a 28 day cycle, but i had a BFN just over a week ago!

To be honest i was going to leave it a few weeks before contacting midwife! not to get ahead of myself

I feel fine! quite blated though! Felt sick earlier, and i have been knackered by 4pm
