How many got bfp after dtd only one time?

That's it really. For circumstances beyond my control, we only managed to dtd on the evening befire ovulation day I think. I got a peak clearblue very late Friday night, we dtd Saturday evening and that's it. I'm now 1dpo according to FF. So I'm wondering if there are any success stories of bfps from only dtd once? Or is this cycle a write off?

A hell of a lot of unplanned pregnancies happen from "just once".
Not obsessing about it will help your body chemistry by reducing stress hormones so try to focus on other things while you wait for AF or BFP.

Sorry but it seems a bit of a silly question really, it only takes one sperm to get pregnant.

The cycle isn't a write off if you had sex the night before.

7 years of ttc, clomid then planning to start ivf to which the month before planned start date we had sex once at a total random point in cycle the result is 5 years old.

Me. This pregnancy also. A big surprise! DS took 9 months (inc a miscarriage) so I am extremely grateful.

In theory, every pregnancy is from having dtd only once. Best of luck, ttc is sometimes less than fun!

Me! A nasty dose of heat stroke and only DTD once but to our surprise BFP the first month of TTC. We were both shocked but DP was gutted he though he was in for a few months of round the clock action.

Me, with both DC. Totally unexpected and wonderful. Horrendously irritating to those with fertility issues though.

Yep me too, it was our second month trying, completely missed my fertile window because OH was poorly. By the time he was well again it was a few days past my OPK peak. We still aren't exactly sure how we managed it but I'm 17 weeks so either I ovulated later than I thought or my OH has super sperm that survived way longer than the scientists say they should... Guess which option OH likes to believeWink

Thanks everyone 😊 I know it was a stupid question 😜😖 but ttc tends to bring out the stupid in me every month due to the stress/worry about whether I/we did enough. I know logically it only takes the one swimmer. I just had a moment because this month didn't pan out how I hoped and it's a big disappointment to think you didn't give it your all. I'll try to chill out more. Thanks again 😊

Yes, unplanned, condom broke but still used condoms up until I was late at got a bfp :)

Yep spent 4 years DTD regularly with no result. One particular month we were either busy with work, away separately with friends or I'll so managed it just the once ..... resulting in twin girls 😃

We've been ttc actively for 5 months but ntnp for a couple of years with no sniff of a bfp. At nearly 38 I'm stressing a bit in case I left it too late. Starting fertility treatment next month though so fingers crossed that works. It'd be funny (and miraculous lol) if this month was successful though! Especially after all the effort in previous months 😜😝😄

And me. At age 39.5 whilst still bfing dd1 (not that I was treating that as any kind of contraception)
I'm like a walking lesson to my friends teenage daughters...it really does only take the once!

Yes me. I was 15 at the time.
BF at the time told me you couldn't get pregnant the first time, I believed him Hmm.

I'm 38 and Dd2 is 4mths old she was another surprise. I've a 23year age gap between my dds Smile.

Me. Had been trying for 9 months on all the right days and nothing.
Did it once one month as we were both poorly and I've now got an 8 week old on my lap

Me also. Had been trying for about 8 months. Long story short, H had a serious health scare, wouldn't consider sex until he'd seen his consultant.

Saw consultant, all OK, I thought I was way past the "window of opportunity", but had sex once that night. It was the only time in about 3 weeks.

The twins are now 10 Grin

Me with current pregnancy on first cycle ttc. I got all stressed about the 'trying' thing so did my own bizarre protest by not actively trying much....Confused In any case the one time was enough!

I did for my first pregnancy and this one! DTD day before ovulation for the first and 3-4 days before ovulation for this pregnancy!

Yep, both times. I'm a thorough believer in not getting stressed about "DTD" and "TTC" but I appreciate that that is easy to say from my experience.
I just cannot shake a conversation I had years ago with a male friend out of my head when he described the dread he felt on those days he knew he was going to be requested to perform because it was the right time.

I have endrometiosis. Dtd once and had ds2. Yay!
