Anyone due November 2016?!

Found out yesterday that I'm pregnant! Should be around 4 weeks, with an EDD of November 20th!

Anyone else around?!

I found out Friday! Have done a billion tests since then and it still hasn't sunk in! Has been a total shock as I had what I thought was a weird AF, only tested two weeks later when boobs were like someone had been using them as punch bags!

How are you feeling? Are you as nervous all of a sudden as I am?!

I'm feeling okay, feeling sick but I'm not sure if thats nerves! This will be my 4th pregnancy after 3 miscarriages so I'm feeling very anxious.
I tested because I just knew, and AF was due on that day and I normally start in the morning. I also woke up feeling coldy and my boobs ached.

I'm due at the beginning of November. It's my first pregnancy after many years of infertility.

I'm suddenly terrified of the responsibility of raising a child and I can't seem to get excited about it at all. I didn't think I'd feel like this.

I think that is a somewhat natural reaction, even without the fertility issues. I feel like I have wanted this for so long I am scared to get too excited. I also veer toward petrified every now and then - I am scared of something going wrong, scared of the responsibility...I just keep telling myself that so many people do this and if they are OK, I will be too.

Can I ask how long it took you to conceive?

Hi MrsFlowers it took us 9 years. We had clomid and then two stimulated IUIs. Our third and final IUI was cancelled as i'd already ovulated when I went for a routine scan. We ended up conceiving naturally in that cycle.

My family are beside themselves with excitement and have begged to be allowed to buy things after the 12 week point.

I appreciate their excitement and I'm touched that they are over the moon. I just don't want to talk about the pregnancy or the baby at all.

Infertility was a nightmare for me but all of a sudden all I can think about is the fact that we lie in at the weekends. We do what we want to when we want to. All that will change. I'm not sure if I'll cope. My dh is amazing and will end up shouldering most of the burden (and will be happy to) but his family will judge me for being a bad mum.

I think maybe you have had so much to focus on and have always been focused on the trying part and all the obstacles that now you finally have space to think about the next stage. It is definitely daunting but I think the fact you are talking about how you feel and are trying to make it better for yourself means you already have your “good mum” hat on Have you talked to your OH?

I haven’t told my family yet. My mum has cancer and is undergoing chemo. I want to give them some good news (we have had a lot to deal with lately) but am scared if something goes wrong they will have even more to worry about. I am really close to my parents, esp my mum and it has been hard even talking to her this weekend and not telling her!

I'm sorry to hear about your mom's illness MrsFlowers. I can understand your fear about telling people too soon. How long will you wait before you tell them?

Yes I am, although I'm in a slightly different position of not being that positive ( mentally not the test! ) I'm 41, will be 42 by the time the baby is born. It wasn't planned, already have two dc ( 8, 6 ) one has special needs, feeling very nervous, will need to get a invasive test done to determine any problems, praying everything is fine x

I'm due November, all being well.

I'm 5 weeks tomorrow and I'm worried something is going to go wrong. I had to tell my manager today as I've not been feeling that great for the last week.

I know how worrying pregnancy is after miscarriage.
I had 3 losses before having my daughter last November and it was the longest 9 months of my life!
There's a great thread for pregnancy after miscarriage on this board. And you should be offered extra support and scans from your health care provider due to your history.

sizethree Thank you! Its only been a couple of days and I'm exhausted from the worrying. I've managed to get an early appointment with the midwife (next wednesday - feels like a lifetime away!). So hoping she can book me in for an early scan.
