Best co-sleeper cot?

Hello,
I'm pretty set on getting a bedside cot to make things a bit easier for myself to bf (e.g not having to get out of bed) and being able up see babies face whenever I like.
I've been doing some research online and wondered what you all thought was the best one? Don't mind spending £150-£200.

I love my snuzpod, but haven't tried the others so couldn't compare. I like the look of it as well though, which was a factor for me. We got ours second hand and bought a new mattress.

I have this one it was a god send with breast feeding and just to keeping looking at him. His 6 months now so in his own room but if there is a night when he doesn't sleep too good or I feel to lazy to get up and breastfeed it still gets used.

I should have added will most babies be able to stay in a co-sleeper until around 6months? I know traditional moses baskets don't last this long.

I don't see why you couldn't keep baby in a co sleeper cot until 6 months.

My baby is 6 months and is sometimes sleeping in it still, never been a problem for me.

Another vote for the snuzpod. Not have to get up when I needed to feed in the night was great as was just being able to soothe him gaze at him first thing in the morning when we were waking up

My DS was a big baby and wasn't really comfortable in it after 5.5 months so went in his cot in his own room then as he was trying to roll over and thrashing abOut in his sleep - very loudly!

If you're going for the snuzpod/ chicco shop around the deals- think 'Baby Lurve' are the cheapest at the moment for the snuzpod crib and mattress bundle but it changes when sites do discount codes etc.

We have the Troll one, very slim next to the bed with lockable casters. DD sleeps very well in it.

Bednest are meant to be good as well and though you normally rent them.they are selling some on a special deal for £99 at moment.

I have a Snuzpod. I love it and it looks great, good job really as it's purely decorative at the moment; little madam will only sleep when I'm cuddling her.

I have a snuzpod but we are 3 months in and he's yet to sleep in it. He's in my bed instead.

I have a snuzpod, I love it but baby never took to it so it's been a very expensive bedside table!
Had to go with the snuzpod as it goes the highest and I have a very tall divan bed. So check that before you buy!

If you decide on a snuzpod there is a 10% off code for little green sheep. A quick google should find it.
I've bought one and love the look of it. Still have a few weeks to wait before I can try it out.

Bed nests are good. You can hire them. They were subject to bad press last year due to a horrific incident but they weren't being used properly

Junosmum, sneaky question: where did you get the mattress from? I've bought a second hand snuzpod and the mattress is £50 new I think unless you've found somewhere cheaper?

I've not used mine yet but we went for the snuzpod as we liked the look of it and I thought the Chicco next to me one zip up side looked confusing (I don't think it's easy to put up at night, but I might be wrong, and I'm paranoid about covering the baby with our duvet accidentally. The NCT nest one had a safety scare so that put me off. Chicco is wider though so might last a little longer than the snuzpod. Also, I love the name snuzpod as I stupidly pronounced it snuz instead of snooze for weeks and it forever will be called the wrong thing by me.

I saw that re bed nests but after looking into it was clear it wasnt a fault in the product itself so it's on my list.

Another vote for bednest. Used for my now 2.5 year old DS. It's on loan to a friend at the mo (different mattress natch) but will be getting it back when dc2 is born in October.

hahahha, seven, I have been calling it SNUZpod rather than SNOOZpod all along. the penny has only just dropped, rotfl.

After a bit of research (and being mindful of the odd shape of our narrow but long bedroom) we are getting a snuzpod. I wrestled a bit with the expense and thought we might be better with a proper cot with one side down, but DP's parents are very kindly buying it for us, and we'll just buy the cot when we move him into his own room.

We used a Babybay in hospital and I really liked it but we couldn't afford one at the time so used a normal cot with the side off, it was fine. Now I'm 8 months pregnant and have bought a Babybay this time around as we'd sold the cot!

I also pronounce it wrong - snuz instead of snooze. Although it is currently referred to as earths most expensive bedside table by DH.

Someone asked about a new mattress for the snuzpod - the little green sheep mattress is actually quite firm and doesn't seem all that comfortable. You can custom order a piece of cot grade foam that will do the same job for under £20.
Not that my LO will sleep on either surface.

My sisters laughed at me for so long when I mentioned we were getting a 'snuz' pod. I genuinely thought it was just me who had been so stupid . Thanks for the mattress tip. X

I have a Babybay Maxi which is bigger than the standard Babybay. DS fitted in it till he was about 8 months. Not that he slept well there, in our bed, or anywhere else....

I saw a recommendation here to order it online from Germany as much cheaper, so I did that. Cost about £180 I think.
